“Dylan did a great job checking on my two cats while I was out of the country for a week. His communication was quick and clear, and he sent lots of great photos. Overall I would highly recommend hiring Dylan.”

“Shylynn did a great job of watching our cat while we were gone for a few days. She was easy to work with and great at keeping in touch and sharing updates with us. Our cat required some eye drops for a few days while we were gone and Shylynn was able to wrangle our cat and administer the drops. Would definitely use Shylynn again!”

“Trina took great care of my special needs cat. He requires medication twice a day and she was here on time each day, gave him his medication, food, water, cleaned his litter box and swept the floor after him. Best of all, she played with him and sent us great pictures of him. We returned home to a cat who was happy to see us and who was taken care of while we were away ?”

“Lisa was terrific with the cats and very helpful when we were out of town. She quickly responded to our inquiry regarding pet sitting and scheduled a time shortly thereafter to come and meet our cats and learn about their care routine. About: I’m an experienced pet owner and have cared for my own dog for 13 years now. Along with dogs I have owned/cared for cats, rats, and lizards. When I was younger I worked on a farm and developed a deep love for animals. I live a very active lifestyle and would be stoked to take your pet out for walks, runs, hikes, and beach day swimming! I have a large vehicle which has easy transportation for bigger dogs. I take the time to establish a genuine connection with your pet and want to foster a bond built on mutual understanding and respect. Having trust from you and your pet is an important relationship to have. I want you to be sure that your furry loved one and your home is being taken care of in the safest and best way possible for you. I am a full time worker and van-lifer. My home is on wheels which makes it easy to move around to meet your home sitting needs. My normal work week is Monday-Friday in Capitola. I’m not able to host animals in my home. Coming to your home is the best option, and making your pet feel safe and comfortable is #1!

About: I worked as a full-time dog walker with a small company in San Francisco for 5+ years and am looking to expand my love for animals to Santa Cruz! I was trusted with the keys/codes to hundreds of families homes and, driving in a panel van, picked up around 8-13 dogs at a time to bring them to an off leash dog park for hour long walks. I have worked with all kinds of dogs; puppies, senior dogs, and dogs who require extra care. Eg. Separation anxiety, difficult leash/socialization manors, and dogs with special needs/diets. I would absolutely love to take care of your good boys/girls, so long as you don't mind the excessive photos I may take/send while they're under my watch! 😉 Any Weekday or weekends, Anytime! I recently relocated to Santa Cruz so at this moment in time I have nearly full availability! I would prefer to keep walks between 10am-8pm, but very flexible. I have 7+ years of experience in dog care, including working at a boarding facility with 20+ dogs at a time, so I am very confident and capable of making snap decisions under pressure if/when necessary. Also more than happy to help with any basic training/ recall training needed!

About: Caring for pets has always been more than just a job for me—it's a passion. Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. From playful puppies learning their first commands to senior dogs needing extra patience and care, I understand the unique attention each stage of life requires. What sets me apart from other sitters is my personalized approach. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality, preferences, and routine so they feel safe and comfortable in my care. I’m experienced with basic puppy training, leash manners, and crate training. For older pets, I provide gentle, attentive support—whether that means administering medication, helping with mobility, or simply offering lots of love and companionship. I believe communication is key, so I always keep pet parents updated with photos and notes to ensure peace of mind while you're away. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. I work in IT from home, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to be available throughout the day for pet care. Whether it’s regular walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping your pet company, I can easily fit their needs into my daily routine. When caring for pets in your home, I treat your space—and your pet—with the same respect and attention I give my own. I follow your routines closely, whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, medication, or house rules, to keep your dog comfortable and stress-free. I understand how important trust is when someone enters your home, and I always communicate clearly, keep things tidy, and send regular updates so you feel at ease while you're away. Your pet’s safety and comfort come first. I pay close attention to their behavior and needs, and I’m happy to accommodate special requests or routines to help them feel secure. Whether your dog needs quiet companionship, active playtime, or just a calm presence while you're gone, I provide reliable, loving care every time.

(I now have two cats of my own!) I identify as a self-proclaimed cat whisperer, and love when a less friendly cat comes out of its shell with me. I have two cats of my own, so can only care for pets in your/their home. I'm respectful of your environment, and make sure to earn trust from the animal before moving onto bigger activities (walks, playing, etc)

Knowing that they will get all the love and attention they need and deserve! Something I find to be extremely helpful is to quickly develop a strong bond and I try to do that by making the pets feel comfortable around me by playing with them.

Marley M.
“Dear Rover.com, Let me sing praises about Marley. She is an awesome and compassionate dog caregiver. I was stuck in a true crisis over Thanksgiving 2018. After driving 9.5 hours from Las Vegas to San Francisco to spend the holiday with my sister and her family, we discover that my sister failed to disclose to her anti-dog husband that we would be bringing our dog Ella. Needless to say he was livid. We either had to load the kids and dog back into the car and drive back to Vegas (which I was very close to doing, I was THAT upset) or we find other options for Ella. Now to the good part.... With it being the long Thanksgiving weekend, finding a place to board Ella was impossible. Until I was referred to Marley. She empathetically listened to my dilemma and took my 12 year old pit mix Ella into her care. From Wednesday until Saturday late night, she took care of my Ella, texting me pictures of her playing at the dog park and get this... EVEN TOOK ELLA TO THANKSGIVING DINNER AT HER FAMILY'S HOUSE (of course with my permission). I couldn't and still can't believe someone as awesome as Marley even exists!!! Ella thanks you! I thank you!!! Marley, you are the best!! Good blessings to you!! P.S. Rover.com, you are lucky to have her represent you!”

Sendy V.

“Sendy was super communicative and thoughtful, looking forward to booking her for more visits!”

Uladzimir S.
“I've been having Vlad care for my German Shepherd (2.5yo) one night a week, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. My dog can be a bit particular, but he took the time to understand his needs and routine right from the start. Every time I return, I find my dog relaxed, well-exercised, and clearly happy. I highly recommend Vlad to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive pet sitter.”

Garrett T.
“Garrett is one of the biggest dog fans I have ever met. He is always with his golden retriever day and night. He is also extremely reliable and is quick to answer his phone.”

Caley K.
“We have a small zoo in central PA! Leaving 5 dogs, 4 chickens, a cat, and 2 geckos can be really stressful. I'm always hesitant to hire a pet-sitter, because of how much attention is needed here, and how much trust this requires. Having Caley care for our pets has been a God-send! She is excellent in caring for our two French Bulldog puppies, Frank & Fiona- and this required a lot of work, as we were in the process of house-training them. She also cared for our elderly Labrador Retriever, Rosie, who requires help getting up and special accommodations with her food and meds. Our boys Augie (Rottweiler) and Vincent (a mixed Pit-Bull) absolutely love Caley! Caley is responsible, friendly, and very sweet to our animals. They look forward to seeing her! With Caley left in charge for a day, a week, or even longer, we have been able to travel stress-free!”

Ashley B.

“Ashley was great with our little shy senior pup! Would definitely recommend her!”

Grace took care of our boys for 3 days while we went away to get married. She is the best sitter we could have hoped for. We got so many pictures and complete updates. We felt like we were home with them. She went above and beyond to take care of them. We are so grateful. Obi and Butter had such a great time. Thank you so much !

Hailey was a great sitter for my cat crepe! She always took tons of pictures for me to see and gave her lots of attention, as well as cleaning up after her and making sure everything was in order at my apartment. She’s great at communicating quickly with any questions or concerns she had. Would definitely recommend her!

Cody is an awesome pet sitter! My cats adore him, and I feel completely comfortable leaving them in his care.
