“Courtney stayed in my house while me and my now husband left the province to get married. We have two very different dogs. A dane who has anxiety and a husky which just loves everyone. Courtney came over a few times before hand to meet the girls. She did fantastic and meeka calmed down super fast. She sent daily updates, and was also very informative. We cannot begin to thank courtney enough for taking care of our girls during our wedding week. And we highly recommend her!”
“Thank you Ross. My partner and I have used Ross multiple times now for our animal care. He is super responsive and reliable. We are very comfortable with him in our home and taking care of our animals. Ross is a great option for in home animal care!”

“Rihannon was great. I was very nervous leaving my pups, especially one who was going through some issues. She went above and beyond to help him. She sent us lots of updates and pictures. She made sure my dogs were happy and comfortable. I was able to relax on vacation and not worry about them. I was apprehensive about having a stranger stay in our home. But everything was well taken care of. Will def hire her again :)”

About: I’m a university student who loves spending time with animals and has extensive hands-on experience caring for a wide range of pets. I/my family have owned several dogs, a cat, and a rabbit in my life. I’ve worked with dogs of many breeds and sizes, including Newfoundlands, French Bulldogs, Rottweilers, Labs, and mixed breeds, across a variety of ages, personalities, and energy levels. I can help train your puppy, administer your dog's medication, and adjust activities to meet their needs. I’m comfortable with everything from calm companionship to more active walks and playtime. I also have broad experience caring for cats, including fostering, and in-home care and drop-in visits for friends, neighbours, and family. I understand that every cat is different and I always adjust my care to suit their comfort level. In addition, I have experience with small animals such as rabbits, mice, and guinea pigs, and I’m familiar with their specific routines and care needs. Overall, I take pride in being attentive, patient, and dependable, and I truly enjoy getting to know each pet as an individual. I am currently taking online courses at Dalhousie and TAing a course. My schedule is fairly flexible in terms of times for walks and drop ins. I plan to fit pet care into my daily routine during my breaks from school. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities. I follow your instructions and guidance closely to ensure consistency and minimize stress. I maintain a clean, calm environment and take the time to understand each pet’s personality, boundaries, and needs. In your home, I will respect your space and your pet’s established routine by making sure doors are secured, feeding instructions are followed exactly, and litter boxes or outdoor areas are kept clean. Pets will be supervised, given a safe and comfortable space, and never left unattended in situations that could put them at risk. Dogs will be on a leash unless secured in your fenced backyard and cats will be kept strictly indoors. I practice safe handling at all times, avoid known triggers, and adjust care for pets with medical needs, anxiety, or special requirements. Clear communication is important to me, and I provide regular updates so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.
“Loren went above and beyond learning about recurrent ear infections with poodles and followed up my instruction of paying attention to my dog scratching her ear and giving her the medication. I trust Loren will treat Emma like her dog when I am gone out of town. Loren’s responses were prompt and honest. I found my home clean when I got back. I highly recommend Loren for dog sitting.”

“Jaime was a wonderful pet sitter! Communicative, thorough and my pets definitely loved her! Coming home to a clean (better than I left it tbh) home with happy and tired pets was such a joy after flying all day. I recommend Jaime whole heartedly and will certainly ask her to watch my Duck and Goose in the future! Thanks Jaime ❤️”

“So thankful for Rachel accepting this last minute booking so that we could attend a Celebration of Life for my husband’s niece and not have to worry about leaving our 2 Alaskan Malamutes alone in the hotel. My dogs loved her immediately and they were very comfortable with her presence which made me relax. I would not hesitate to hire Rachel again.”

“Kina did an excellent job of dog sitting our chocolate lab Hershey. She sent lots of updates with pictures. Hershey was very happy and relaxed when we returned. Our house was also kept in excellent condition. Thank you Kina for such an excellent experience!”

“Jaiden did a great job taking care of my cats. I left specific directions and Jaiden followed them closely. While I was away Jaiden sent plenty photos and kept me updated which was much appreciated. Thanks a bunch Jaiden!!”

“I can’t recomand Tamanna and Pramod enough. They took such great care of my cat and my two rats. Both my cats and my rats had difficult diets and they did very well accommodated each and every one of them. We kept in contact every day and update me on the babies. Both Tamanna and Pramod are so warm and friendly, there was no issue communicating with them. They are truly the best!”

“Candice took great care of my scaredy cat, Cobweb. When we met she was attentive to how to approach him, and she was communicative and sent videos of them playing and doing tricks! We are already booked again for another time that I’m away!”

“Naomi did a great job with our kids (pittie mix 7yo, and two goldens 3yo and 10 weeks). She had them out for good walks daily. The kids loved her and she loved them back. We will call her again next time the kids need babysitting.”

About: Hello! My name is Nick! My parents have always owned dogs since I was born. I grew up with a Doberman and she lived until I was 7. Then we had a mixed breed for 16 years and after his passing we rescued two husky mixes from Labrador. Although I do not currently live with my parents I have always been involved with the pets and their grooming, exercise, medications when required, and stimulation through play and training. I also assisted training a service dog with a former partner that allowed me to learn additional skills for training puppies upwards and correcting behaviour from dogs of various ages. I also have cared for cats with severe medical conditions and administered oral medications, ear drops, eye drops. I have also assisted friends with such tasks with their dogs and cats and provided education on how to make it a positive experience for the animal. I also have extensive volunteer experience with various animal shelters throughout Ontario and the metro area. I was actively involved in the care of my family pets from the age of 7 as I was quite eager to be involved in their care. I currently work full time from home 8:30-4:30pm Monday to Friday but my job is flexible which would allow for bathroom breaks as needed so the pet would not need to wait to go outside. I live in a quiet neighborhood and we have a back yard that is not fenced but would work for on leash play. I can provide a long tether to attach to the deck for being outside of the weather allows for us to sit out and enjoy and play. I treat all pets as if they are my own. They are welcome on my couch and on the bed if they feel comfortable there. I live alone and have an open style one bedroom apartment. I also ensure that I move anything that could be a potential hazard or trigger for the pets as per owners instructions. I welcome the owner to come have a feel for the space and make sure they feel comfortable with the pet here. I am also more than happy to offer FaceTime calls, photo updates and texting updates throughout the day at the clients request. I do offer bathing at an additional fee of $5 unless the pet became dirty because of taking them for a walk and they become dirty. I do however ask for the owners to provide their preferred shampoo for the pet and instructions unless they are okay with what product I have on hand at the time. I would be fully transparent as to what I am offering and would only use something that is pet safe and recommended from the local pet store.
“Samantha is a phenomenal sitter - our animals adore her and are so well cared for when she’s here. The house is immaculate when we come home and she was very flexible with our travel plans. Would absolutely book with Samantha again.”

Halifax pet parents share their Rover experiences
Ross was wonderful with our dogs. He clearly loves animals and his calm vibes put our anxious lab at ease and won over our distrustful 14-year old husky. Great communication and followed our very long instructions about feeding, medicine, etc. He also helped us out by staying a couple days longer after a flight delay. I wouldn't hesitate to book Ross again! Thank you so much, Ross!!

From the start Candice was professional, dependable, and genuinely cared for Willow. She arranged for a pre meet appointment so she could meet Willow, before the home sitting, for our 4 year old Aussiedoodle to ensure compatibility. That greet and meet arrangement ahead of time helped to ease the stress we felt for leaving Willow with a caregiver for the first time. Candice stayed in our home from Sunday to Thursday to care for Willow. She followed Willow’s routine carefully which included meals, walking twice a day, and providing plenty of attention, companionship and treats. Communication was excellent while we were away. She sent updates and photos of Willow which reassured us that everything was going smoothly and that Willow was happy and comfortable. When we arrived home, Willow appeared content, and our house was as we left it. Candice even washed the bedding that she had been using. We are very grateful for the wonderful care Candice provided for Willow and recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring dog sitter. We will absolutely trust Candice to care for Willow in the future!

Melissa is amazing! She kept us abreast of Freddy's well being while we were away accompanied by photos. Freddy loves her and he has been looking for her since our return. Worthy of mention, she kept the house clean and tidy. She's an unofficial family member now. We will certainly be inviting her back! Thank you Melissa, H and J and Freddy
Benjamin was amazing with our three dogs. They are not often left alone which caused a bit of nervousness (from them and also me!) Benjamin sent pictures during the evening and was always quick and professional when responding. Our most nervous dog was sitting on the couch with him shortly after we left! We definitely recommend Benjamin any time!

sukritta was absolutely great with Sophie. Excellent communication, timely updates and very professional in approach. I would highly recommend sukkrita, Sophie my pup loved her as well.... And we are already looking forward to the next time sukritta watches Sophie.

Coleen stayed in our home with our pets and was fantastic. She immediately put us and our pets at ease during our initial meeting, and followed all of our instructions to a T. On our return home, we immediately noticed how at ease our pets were, which speaks to how well she kept them on their schedules and all of the love and attention she provided. We would love to have Coleen back in the future, and highly recommend her!

Okay, review #1. hehe My cat Ginger was in a deep sleep when she flew out of bed and ran to the door when she heard Lucy's voice. I can't top that review. Lucy is extremely responsible and caring. We had to pivot on some of Ginger's normal routines due to the cold weather and Lucy make everything happen smoothly. We have used her a few times now and we have already rebooked her again!! Thanks Lucy so much for making out get aways more special.

Taylor was absolutely amazing. This was my first time ever leaving my dog overnight with a sitter, and from the moment I met her, I felt completely at ease knowing Ozzy was in great hands. She kept us consistently updated with photos and communicated clearly throughout the stay. Taylor is now my go-to dog sitter, and I couldn’t recommend her more.

Loren was fantastic! She was responsive prior to the sitting, professional. She sent lots of photos and updates, and gave lots of belly rubs! Upon my return the house was immaculate and she gave me details of the last time she had taken Wally out for walk and toilet break. Highly recommend her if you need a pet sitter. I will be using her again when I travel for work. Seamless stress free and most importantly my dog loved her!

Such an amazing pet sitter! Olivia stayed at our place and watched our cat, Waffles, over the winter holidays and she went above and beyond, sending me many updates and pictures and giving Waffles plenty of love and snuggles while we were away. Waffles immediately warmed up to her when first meeting her and clearly loved having her around while we were away. In addition, Olivia took great care of our place during her stay! I 100% reccomend her and would absolutely book with her again :)

Katrina was absolutely amazing. We have very high expectations for whoever stays with our kitty as she is very social and has special medication needs. Katrina met and exceeded them. Our cat was very well taken care of while we were gone. We could tell from the updates and how she was when we returned (she was not feeling lonely). . We like alot of updates and photos and Katrina was very communicative and sent lots of photos and updates as requested. The place was spotless as well when we returned. We would highly recommend booking with Katrina.
