About: Since a I little girl I have loved all sorts of animals. I have had everything from dogs, to amphibians to reptiles! though i have never personally owned a cat, their company has been something i’ve always adored when visiting family and friends. As well as, I have worked with large animal veterinarians for the last two summers learning to care medically and compassionately for all sorts of different species. I am home the majority of the time when not in classes. My classes are few and far in between with lots of time to hangout with your animals and give them the best care. As someone who has owned high maintenance reptiles, I know how to follow relaxed and strict care for all animals. Your routine will be followed accordingly and to the pets benefit!

About: I have over 10 years of experience working with dogs of diverse breeds, ages, behaviours, and care needs. In addition to growing up with family dogs my entire life, I have 6 years of volunteer experience with dog rescue associations. Through this work, I have fostered over 10 dogs in my own home, with stays ranging from just a few days to my longest foster stay of 7 months. Alongside fostering, I have also volunteered walking, socializing, and caring for countless other rescue dogs. I also hold a certificate from the Association for Animal Welfare Development, earned through completing coursework focused on introducing dogs to new environments, people, and other dogs in safe and positive ways. Through my volunteer experience, I have communicated with dog behaviourists, veterinarians, and adopters to help support the best possible outcomes for each dog. Over the years, I have cared for dogs with a wide range of behavioural and medical needs. I have experience administering medication, supporting nervous or high-energy dogs, creating safe introductions, and adapting routines to fit each dog’s individual personality and needs. I am confident handling unexpected situations and always prioritize creating a calm, safe, and positive environment for pets. In addition to my extensive volunteer experience, I have also cared for dogs as an official sitter and have experience following detailed care instructions while caring for dogs both in their own homes and in mine. I pride myself on having strong communication skills and understanding that dogs are truly members of the family. Through my volunteer experience, I have learned the importance of transparency, consistency, and trust when it comes to caring for someone else’s pet, and I believe clear communication is extremely important in ensuring the safest and happiest experience possible for your dog. I have a genuine love and connection with dogs, and truly believe that the time spent caring for them is always mutually rewarding. I will always be the primary caretaker of your dog. My partner, Alisdair, is also an approved sitter on my Rover profile, as he may occasionally join me for walks simply for company. He has several years of experience fostering and caring for dogs alongside me, and we wanted to ensure he was officially approved through Rover for transparency and safety. Your dog’s comfort will always come first, and Alisdair will never accompany me if your dog is uncomfortable around men or if you simply prefer that I provide care independently. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine and schedule. I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate consistent time and attention to walks, feedings, playtime, and check-ins throughout the day. Having fostered and cared for dogs with a wide range of needs over the years, I am very used to structuring my routine around an animal’s care, comfort, and consistency. I also enjoy staying active through walks and outdoor time, so incorporating pet care into my day is something I genuinely enjoy When caring for pets in a client’s home, I closely follow all instructions regarding feeding schedules, walks, medications, crate routines, training expectations, and household rules to help maintain consistency and reduce stress for the pet while their owner is away. In addition to caring for pets, I take pride in being respectful, clean, and trustworthy in others’ homes.

About: Have cared for dogs and cats for over 20 years, have had my own cats and dogs which I have cared for and trained. Looking to continue caring for more animals. I work a flexible job where my mornings, evenings and weekends are open. I am often able to take breaks during the day as needed. I have a pet friendly apartment and will be able to provide breaks as needed. I live very close to large green areas for walks and play.

I have plenty of space for your pet in my apartment, as well as a small backyard that’s convenient for quick bathroom breaks. I also live close to several parks and green spaces, so there are plenty of options for walks and outdoor time. I have a crate available if your dog is crate-trained, and I’m completely comfortable cleaning up any accidents or messes that may happen.

About: One thing that sets me apart from other sitters is I will treat your pets like my own. I love to serve and spread joy, there's nothing better than enjoying my space with a beautiful pet! I am a great with lots of different species, and you’ll find most pets like me and will be sad to leave. I am aiming to spend most of my time taking care of pets, i am currently available 24/7 for walking, drop in visits, doggy daycare etc. i have my own puppy that would be very happy to have some company. I walk a lot so if your pet enjoys walks we’ll get along great. I have toys, treats, poop bags. Overall your pet will be pampered with me, whether they enjoy their own space or are super cuddly, your pet will feel safe with me.

About: I have plenty of hands-on experience caring for dogs through my own 5 year old Cavapoo, as well as regularly watching friends’ dogs. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels, and I love giving them plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and cuddles! I work from home, so I have a very flexible schedule and am around throughout the day to give dogs plenty of attention and care. I’m able to provide regular walks, playtime, bathroom breaks, and lots of company, making sure they feel comfortable and loved while you’re away. I live in a dog-friendly apartment close to several great parks and walking spots. With a little dog of my own, I know all the best places nearby for walks, playtime, and getting some fresh air. Your pup will have a comfortable, dog-friendly home base with plenty of opportunities to get outside and explore!

About: Hi! I’m a recent graduate living in South End Halifax. I’ve grown up with animals my entire life, so caring for pets has always been second nature to me. While I don’t currently have any pets of my own, that just means I love getting to spend time with other people’s pets! Whether it’s going for long walks, playing fetch, sticking to their usual routine, or just giving them lots of attention. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages, including puppies and kittens. I know every pet has their own personality, so I take the time to get to know them and provide care that’s tailored to their needs! I work full-time during the week, so I’m available for evening walks, drop-in visits, and boarding after 5:30 p.m. on weekdays. On weekends, my schedule is usually very flexible, allowing me to dedicate plenty of time to walks, playtime, overnight stays, or whatever your pet needs. I have a spacious, dog-friendly apartment in South End Halifax where pets have plenty of room to relax and feel at home. While I don’t have a backyard, I’m just minutes from Point Pleasant Park, which means your dog will enjoy regular walks, fresh air, and lots of opportunities to explore. When caring for pets in your home or mine, I do my best to keep their routine as consistent as possible by following your instructions and giving them the same love, attention, and care they’re used to.
