During the 2026 Spring/Summer, my schedule is much busier than usual due to family illness and travel back and forth to Newfoundland. I do keep my calendar up to date including flagging myself as unavailable when I am needed home. Thank you for understanding if I am unavailable. Thank you to my clients for your kindness and understanding; for transparency, my work schedule can sometimes mean that my start time requires me to stay at the office longer than expected. I do try to alert my clients if I am off-schedule... please know it is never intentional. With over a decade of cherished canine companionship, I bring a wealth of firsthand experience as a devoted dog owner. My journey includes successfully navigating the rewarding challenge of caring for a reactive dog, honing my skills in patience and understanding. Proficient in administering oral medications, I'm well-versed in following precise pet care instructions. Having recently lost my beloved furry friend, I am eager to extend my compassion and support to fellow pet enthusiasts. Your pet's well-being is not just a responsibility, but a heartfelt committment. My husband was a huge lover of animals and in his and our girl Gertie's memory I donate 5% of these earnings to an animal charity. If you have a specific animal cause, please let me know before the booking concludes, otherwise I donate to the local SPCA.

When residing at the homes of my clients, I ensure a routine that mirrors your pet's familiar surroundings. From maintaining their regular feeding schedule to providing cozy and comfortable spaces, I strive to emulate the warmth and care they're accustomed to. Beyond the basics, I engage in interactive play, daily walks, and personalized attention tailored to each pet's unique needs. Your home is their haven, and I take pride in upholding a standard of care that guarantees both the physical and emotional well-being of your cherished pets. I am happy to do some housekeeping while I stay in your home, I know what it is like to be away and worry how much tidying there is to do and you're already exhausted! Watering plants, cleaning specific spaces, happy to help - it also keeps me from being idle. You'd barely know I was there! I find this therapeutic and I enjoy it.

Lori is a delight! Very friendly and kind. She stayed at our home and took excellent care of our two cats. She is great at providing updates and was extremely respectful of our home. We’re happy we found a sitter we can count on now for future trips 🙂 Highly recommend!!!
Lori is so easy to relate to and I felt instantly comfortable leaving my precious kitties with her. She was very generous with her time and was a natural at all taking care of things. Thank you Lori, I’m looking forward to having you back!!
Lori stayed our house with our Goldendoodle and cat for a week and she was fabulous! She came out for an initial meet & greet to confirm fit/comfort, and then offered a second drop in the day before we left to re-meet the furry friends and go through a few details. This added time made us feel so comfortable leaving our house and animals in her care. While away, Lori provided daily updates and went over and above our expectations. Our house was left spotless, our animals happy, and we’ll absolutely book with her again!

Schedule
I currently work full time Monday-Friday and have evenings and weekends free. Happy to care for your fur family and your home. I'm a home owner myself and understand that your home including those in it need care and attention. Please note that being home all day during the work week is not possible.
