Ben helped a lot in keeping me calm by sending us a bunch of pictures of Rocky and always kept us up to date with everything they did together! She replied quickly to any of my questions or concerns, updated us on how dogs settled in to her home and provided pics before I even enquired. Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Halifax
Ryan was an amazing pet sitter, and I couldn't be happier with the care he gave Leo. From the beginning, he was friendly, reliable, and genuinely caring. Leo can be energetic and a bit challenging on walks, but Ryan handled him with patience, confidence, and kindness. I truly appreciate Ryan's professionalism and dedication. I would absolutely trust him to care for Leo again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dependable, compassionate, and responsible pet sitter. Thank you, Ryan, for taking such wonderful care of Leo!

Louie was the best sitter for my dog while I was away for work , Vasu stayed with louie for 3 days , he’s a little hard to handle boi , but I appreciate her patience and love for him, while trying to make every possible accommodation to suit Vasu’s needs . She did send us regular updates and was very responsive.

Briagh was amazing right from the initial booking process to picking up the dogs. She was responsive and put our minds at ease when leaving our dogs with a sitter from rover for the first time. We were able to meet up for a quick meet and greet ahead of time so they would be ready for their first overnight away from us. Our dogs definitely were well taken care of and we got updates throughout the night with photos. We would highly recommend staying with Briagh and will use her again in the future!

They all took wonderful care of Wellington. He tends to be an anxious dog, but they were patient with him, and he was able to settle and warm up to them. He also was scared of stairs, but again, they were patient, and by the end of the weekend, he was going up and down the stairs without any issue. I would not hesitate to book in with them again!! Thank you so much!

Evan was fantastic! We needed someone to watch our dog, Kimchi, on very short notice, and he was incredibly accommodating. He was super responsive throughout the entire process and kept us updated with photos, which gave us great peace of mind. Kimchi looked so calm and comfortable with him, and it was clear she was having a great time. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely book with Evan again. Highly recommend!

Milissa was amazing with Bo and with communication. It was such a relief to know how well he was being cared for so well while we travelled for 2 weeks. He’s a big dog who has a very consistent routine so changing that can be stressful but Milissa was so attentive to his needs. If she’d have him back, we’d would be so happy to have him stay with her again.

Claire was awesome with Kody! She allowed him time and space to settle in and get comfy. From drop off to pick up, communication throughout was timely and reassuring. I am a new user of the Rover platform and app. Claire was very helpful with prompting me to have successful experience. 5 stars🌟

Layla was great! She was very responsive when I reached out to her. And my dog clearly liked her - I stopped by to walk him a few times and he was so excited to see her when I dropped him off again. Thank you for taking such good care of Blue! Will definitely be in touch when I need help again :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
