“Jessica is 100% a “dog person”. She was so great with our young Husky- she was familiar with his breed & the personality that comes with it. And to say our dog had a wonderful time would be an understatement! She was also good to keep us updated; we felt very comfortable with our pup in her care.”

About: I’ve cared for pets of all ages from playful puppies and kittens to senior dogs and cats who need extra patience and gentle care. I’m experienced with walks, playtime, feeding routines, medications, and even basic puppy training. What sets me apart is the genuine love and attention I give each pet as if they were my own. Thats why i keep my rates affordable. I believe quality pet care shouldn’t come at a high price. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, happy, and loved while giving you peace of mind. I am available on the weekends and some weekday evenings. Always feel free to ask for any date because my school schedule is subject to change and i may have time any day of the week for your pets 🙂 I have a big yard and a sweet and friendly dog. We have a large crate if needed and live on a quiet street with quiet neighbors.
“Victoria is a great communicator and kept us updated on how our Skipper was doing. She has a genuine deep love for animals which she readily shared with Skipper. Her two dogs are very friendly and accepting as well. They seemed to have welcomed Skipper into their pack. I would highly recommend Victoria.”

“We really appreciate Audrey and her expertise with dogs. Her experience shows with how she managed our hyperactive duck tolling retriever, Hudson. She is communicative, gives us plenty of video and photo updates on Hudson, and collaborates with us when it comes to necessary situations. She takes our dog out for lots of activities (fetch, swimming, exploring), plus she has 2 dogs of her own so our dog was never bored! We feel relieved knowing Hudson is in great hands and someone is caring for him while we’re away for our medical appointments. We highly recommend Audrey’s services!”

“We left Ava with Sonya for five weeks, and are very happy with the results. Sonya and her family took great care of Ava, and we saw some lovely pictures of her playing in the snow and then snoozing on her bed. We'll be back!”
“Deanna is great!! Ellie had a wonderful time and even though this was Ellie’s first time with a sitter, we knew Deanna was right for us as soon as we met her 💕”

“First time leaving my 6 month old pup for a night but I had peace of mind knowing he'd be in good hands with Emma. He loves visiting to see his friend Luna, and even likes the cat. He slept the night no problem.”

“Stay #2 with Jessica went off without a hitch (first was house sitting, this time he stayed at hers)—great vacation for Jerry while we were away. He made a lot of friends, got a lot of exercise and had a wonderful and safe time. Definitely booking again.”

“10/10 - Jennifer and Craig were wonderful with my Boxer. They gave him constant love and attention and took him out for multiple walks out in the countryside. They sent me multiple pictures and updates throughout his stay to show me how much fun he was having with them and their own dogs. I will definitely look into having Jennifer and Craig look after my boy Baxter again in the future.”

“Meg was great with our golden girls! It was the first time for us using Rover. Our first booking got cancelled near last minute and Meg was super responsive and jumped right in. She was very patient with our girls as they got used to her lovely lab Sunny (who is a sweetheart!). The girls were well loved, walked, and comfortable. And it showed in the photos! Highly recommend Meg to anyone needing a home away from home for their pups!”

“Rebecca took great care of Nash during his stay and was very flexible and accommodating for some of his extra needs following dental surgery. It is clear that Nash got lots of exercise and was well loved during his stay. We would highly recommend Rebecca and her family :)”

“Super accommodating and took great care of my anxious pup for the weekend! She can be pretty nervous but they did anything and everything to make her as calm and comfortable as possible!”
About: I’m a 37-year-old work from home professional who genuinely loves dogs and currently has a quiet, pet-free home. After losing my own last year due to old age, I’m not quite ready to have another dog of my own, but I’d love the opportunity to care for yours. Because I don’t have other pets and only accept one household at a time, your dog will receive my full attention in a calm environment. I have experience caring for senior dogs and dogs with medical needs, including administering oral medications. My own dog lived with genetic IVDD, so I understand how important patience, consistency, and gentle handling can be. My goal is to make your dog feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away, and to give you peace of mind through regular updates and photos. I work from home, so I have a flexible schedule and am home throughout the day. This allows me to give your dog plenty of attention and stick to their normal routine. Your dog will be staying in my quiet, 1,400 sq. ft. apartment in Bedford. The building is small, well maintained, and located in a safe neighbourhood right next to a park, making it easy for regular walks and outdoor breaks. I’m on the second floor and right beside the stairwell, so we can head outside quickly without using elevators. I only care for one family’s pets at a time, so your dog will have a calm, comfortable environment during their stay.
“Giulia is very communicative and sends awesome daily updates. Her doggy is a ball full of energy which was a perfect match for my boys very high energy needs! He came home completely tuckered out!”

“David and Emma were fantastic with our dog, Stanley. He has quite a few quirky routines and specific needs, and they took excellent care of him and followed everything perfectly. They truly went above and beyond to make sure he was happy and well cared for. I wouldn’t hesitate to have them look after Stanley again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
