About: I have over 10 years of experience working with dogs of diverse breeds, ages, behaviours, and care needs. In addition to growing up with family dogs my entire life, I have 6 years of volunteer experience with dog rescue associations. Through this work, I have fostered over 10 dogs in my own home, with stays ranging from just a few days to my longest foster stay of 7 months. Alongside fostering, I have also volunteered walking, socializing, and caring for countless other rescue dogs. I also hold a certificate from the Association for Animal Welfare Development, earned through completing coursework focused on introducing dogs to new environments, people, and other dogs in safe and positive ways. Through my volunteer experience, I have communicated with dog behaviourists, veterinarians, and adopters to help support the best possible outcomes for each dog. About: I’ve grown up with dogs and starting dog-walking for neighbours at a young age. Frequently entrusted to dog-sit for friends and family. Currently I own one cat. Currently I am available both AM and PM on weekdays and weekends. Right now I am working part-time remotely so my schedule is quite flexible! I live near a park that is great for daily walks with dogs. It has an off-leash area if that is allowed for the dog.

About: I’ve always grown up with labs and many cats. I’ve trained our family puppies, administered oral/topical medications for sick and recovering pets, and have helped raise kittens from birth (with their mama around). I’ve cared for dogs from family members, friends, and coworkers. I’m comfortable with sleepovers or just to keep fluffy buddies company when home alone. I have a chronic illness that keeps me from working full time so most of my time is spent at home or out for leisurely exercise. I’m very flexible and adjustable to fit you and your pets schedule. I always consider my health when accepting jobs so I can assure that your buddies will get the quality care they need. I’m a cuddly person and love to make pets feel happy and relaxed. I’ll make sure any training, eating, and potty breaks are aligned with their normal schedules. Daily journals will be kept so that you know exactly how your pets day went. If caring for ill/disabled pets, I can also record medication times and detailed food/bathroom reports. Most assuredly, I will always promote play and fun!

About: Hi!! I’m a huge dog lover, I grew up with two dogs and have dog sat countless times. I’m currently away for university and really miss my dogs back home so this is a perfect solution!! I’m currently working part time as a server, so I have loads of time to spend time with your fur buddies. I also am a university student in my last semester, but have openings during the day. Reach out, always try to be flexible to accomidate! I do not have any other pets, so no extra companions! I am available for potty breaks, walks, long stays, and extra stimulation for dogs:). I would love to come by before visits to make sure it’s a good fit!

About: I've lived with cats and dogs for most part of my life and they are the big reason I got into pet care. Being a rescue dog owner myself, I understand the need for outdoorsy time for fur babies. I currently only provide dog walking as I live in an apartment, but can drop in as necessary. I'm available full time on weekends, and can work with a schedule on weekdays. I can board other cats from Friday to Monday, but can drop in on mornings or evenings on weekdays. I'll try my best to accommodate any requests you have. I don't do boarding for dogs, but can come to your place and take care of them. I can also do overnight for cats/dogs at your home, depending on the situations.

About: Hi, we’re Hayley and Lucy! We recently moved to Halifax and are offering pet care in HRM. We are proud pet parents to our two cats, Waluigi and Tiggy. We have almost 20 years of combined experience caring for pets, including cats, dogs, and small animals. Between us, we have extensive experience with feeding, administering medications, cleaning litter boxes and cages, and making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. We’ve lived with cats, rabbits, hamsters, and birds, giving us hands-on experience with a wide range of pet needs, routines, and personalities. Originally from Ontario, we understand what it’s like to not always have a large support system nearby when you need a helping hand. We hope to make life easier for pet parents by providing reliable and compassionate pet care support, whether that means checking in on your pets while you’re away, caring for your pets during vacations, or helping with dog walks while you’re at work! Between the two of us we have lots of flexibility to accommodate different routines. We have a car and can come to you on weekdays and weekends. Open availability on Fridays and weekends and available for walks and check-ins through Monday-Thursday in the mornings and evenings. We’re comfortable adapting to the pets needs and making them feel the most safe and comfortable by treating their space with respect and following their lead. We’re used to meeting and building rapport with new animals regularly and like to adjust our care based on owner/caretaker comments and instructions and the pets energy levels and demeanour.
