About: I've lived with cats and dogs for most part of my life and they are the big reason I got into pet care. Being a rescue dog owner myself, I understand the need for outdoorsy time for fur babies. I currently only provide dog walking as I live in an apartment, but can drop in as necessary. I'm available full time on weekends, and can work with a schedule on weekdays. I can board other cats from Friday to Monday, but can drop in on mornings or evenings on weekdays. I'll try my best to accommodate any requests you have. I don't do boarding for dogs, but can come to your place and take care of them. I can also do overnight for cats/dogs at your home, depending on the situations.

About: Hi, we’re Hayley and Lucy! We recently moved to Halifax and are offering pet care in HRM. We are proud pet parents to our two cats, Waluigi and Tiggy. We have almost 20 years of combined experience caring for pets, including cats, dogs, and small animals. Between us, we have extensive experience with feeding, administering medications, cleaning litter boxes and cages, and making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. We’ve lived with cats, rabbits, hamsters, and birds, giving us hands-on experience with a wide range of pet needs, routines, and personalities. Originally from Ontario, we understand what it’s like to not always have a large support system nearby when you need a helping hand. We hope to make life easier for pet parents by providing reliable and compassionate pet care support, whether that means checking in on your pets while you’re away, caring for your pets during vacations, or helping with dog walks while you’re at work! Between the two of us we have lots of flexibility to accommodate different routines. We have a car and can come to you on weekdays and weekends. Open availability on Fridays and weekends and available for walks and check-ins through Monday-Thursday in the mornings and evenings. We’re comfortable adapting to the pets needs and making them feel the most safe and comfortable by treating their space with respect and following their lead. We’re used to meeting and building rapport with new animals regularly and like to adjust our care based on owner/caretaker comments and instructions and the pets energy levels and demeanour.

About: I have experience in training dogs as well as pet-sitting. Feel free to let me know anything adjustments or accommodations you pet needs that would make them more comfortable and happy! I am currently working part-time at a research lab with Dalhousie and spend a lot of extra time in Downtown Halifax, and I would love to be able to fill that extra time hanging out with animals! I have my own dog that can join your pet on a walk or for play-time if that is something you would like. I also know plenty of pet-friendly cafes and areas that would be fun for any pet to visit!

About: I have plenty of hands-on experience caring for dogs through my own 5 year old Cavapoo, as well as regularly watching friends’ dogs. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels, and I love giving them plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and cuddles! I work from home, so I have a very flexible schedule and am around throughout the day to give dogs plenty of attention and care. I’m able to provide regular walks, playtime, bathroom breaks, and lots of company, making sure they feel comfortable and loved while you’re away. I live in a dog-friendly apartment close to several great parks and walking spots. With a little dog of my own, I know all the best places nearby for walks, playtime, and getting some fresh air. Your pup will have a comfortable, dog-friendly home base with plenty of opportunities to get outside and explore!

Having worked extensively with a wide variety of dogs and training styles, I go beyond standard pet care —I bring a trained eye for body language, safety-first handling, and custom support for every dog. I fully respect your preferences and guarantee that no training tools will ever be used (with the exception of tools already in place/being used) without your full knowledge and approval. I will always advocate for dogs that need extra space, I ensure your pet stays safe, understood, and comfortable in my care. I have a previous care of working within health care however am transitioning to provide care and love to animals. I have always felt very compassionate and drawn to animals but thought there was no other option but a career within a vet. I knew I couldn't handle frequent losses of animals which is why I opted for a different career. When caring for your animal —whether in your home or out on a walk—my top priority is providing structure, safety, and individual attention. I treat your home with the utmost respect, maintaining your dog’s familiar routines so they feel relaxed and secure in their own environment. On walks, I bring a practiced eye for body language and environmental awareness, ensuring every outing is safe, enriching, and tailored to your dog’s confidence level and energy. From quiet, attentive house visits to focused, confident neighborhood walks, you can trust that your animal is in experienced, compassionate hands. If I am doing in home pet sitting and have to leave the home for a period of time, I always bring a camera to monitor the animals while I am not there.
