Buddy is crazy when he sees & carries his leash to the door. I then hook his collar & he wants to again carry the leash to the gate of the deck. I appreciate Karen so much. Her kind soft spoken, non-judgmental nature is truly what Buddy & I both need especially after what was likely a tough start in life for him.”

“My Aussie Arlo has been obsessed with Kaleigh from the moment he met her. She obviously understands herding breeds really well, she talks to Arlo gently but firmly, and respects my personal boundaries on things like not letting him off the leash because he can't be trusted to recall. Some things I noticed about her that set her apart (as a herding dog owner): - She lets Arlo sniff. He always comes back exhausted from walks with her because she lets him mentally engage and understands you can't tire him out with walking alone. - She can tell from a distance when a dog isn't going to get along with Arlo and engages him off to the side really well. - She handles him exactly the way he likes. She's really good at reading what he's asking for. She's also good at asking him for what she needs, like space when she gets in the house. I'm a bit neurotic about my dog, since he's my first and I waited so long for him. As a dog owner, working with Kaleigh is such a relief because I know she's going to provide Arlo with a highly engaging adventure and she genuinely enjoys the time she spends with him. 10/10 recommend her.”

About: After 7 wonderful years, we unfortunately needed to let our puppy go over the rainbow bridge recently. I would love the opportunity for you to help me heal by helping you out! I had a rescued amstaff mix who was the apple of our eye. I am are familiar with dogs who need extra care. I am a pro at giving dogs medicine and eardrops. During the work week we are available evenings for walks or drop ins. Weekends are a little more flexible, we are available 24/7 for all dog needs. I have a huge yard and am close to walking trails. I have a bigger SUV therefore am able to drive around HRM. I have a crate and feeding bowls here so owners would not need to bring anything.

“We used James to walk our Japanese Chin dog while we were on our last vacation for 7 days. He did a fantastic job !! Always on time and we had daily feedback from James through the Rover app, so we always knew what was happening back home. Since our dog is 15 years old with some health issues (bad heart and deaf) we had some anxiety in leaving him. James went over and above what was asked of him and took some of the wrorry away. “Liam is very good with dogs and cats. He has a calm approach which they respond well to. He is good to walk the animals and gives them lots of attention. He will play with them and is very attentive to their needs. He has looked after our senior dog who has lots of anxiety and he keeps her calm. She also requires medication and doggy diapers at night. He was great to attend to her special needs. I would recommend him in caring for someone else’s pet.”

About: I've taken care of three different types of medium and large dogs in my family as I've grown up. One was a German shepherd/husky mix, another was a terrier/Shih Tzu mix, and my current dog is a black Labrador retriever. I have come to understand just how much of a responsibility comes with being a dog owner ever since I was little, so I know it's not always just a walk in the park (pun intended). I am experienced with both senior dogs and puppies, and am extremely attentive in order to cater to their needs. Safety is always a priority to me as well as properly maintained communication between myself and any client/employer. I am available any day, as long as I am given at least a day's notice in advance. I am also a part-time online student during the spring semester, so I have a fairly flexible schedule for pet care. I always make sure my own dog has access to water and feed him on schedule everyday (getting up early is not an issue). I make sure to pay attention to whenever he needs to be let outside to do his business or if he needs to get some energy out. His exercise is also a priority whether that be walking, running, or playing fetch in a field. While on walks, I keep him on-leash unless in an enclosed public field for dogs and I carry poop bags with me at all times when I take my dog anywhere.

The dogs are always excited to see him and beg for his attention, which Chris is always eager to give them. I know that he is good to them, because of how they react when he shows up. Chris is also very active and loves to take the dogs out to trails for walks. Even in bad weather, he doesn't let the rain or snow stop him. Chris is very patient, responsible and caring and I highly recommend him as a caregiver for your dog!”
