About: Not every dog loves the world around them—and that’s okay. I have a special interest in working with reactive, anxious, and fearful dogs. My own dog, Otis, has taught me just how much patience, understanding, and thoughtful handling can help dogs feel safer on walks. I understand how stressful it can be to trust someone else with a dog who needs extra support, and my goal is to provide calm, safe, low-stress walks where your dog can feel comfortable and successful. I am comfortable walking dogs who bark, lunge, need extra space, or find the outside world overwhelming. Every dog is an individual, so I tailor each walk to their needs—whether that means choosing quieter routes, giving plenty of distance from triggers, taking sniff breaks, or simply moving at a pace that keeps them regulated. My focus is on positive, calm handling, reading canine body language, and setting dogs up for success. I work full time at a vet clinic as a Veterinary Assistant, I am available in the mornings and evenings to do drop in visits - and am able to offer dog walking a few days per week. My house has a lot of structure, and low stress vibe. Balanced energy and clear expectations help a dog to be at peace and help with anxiety and insecurities. Depending on the animals needs I try to find enriching activities that will offer the highest reward, my pup loves to sniff so we do scent work and food scattering in the back yard.

About: I’ll care for your pet the same way I care for my own! Your dog or cat’s comfort, happiness and sense of security are always my top priority. I have tons of experience dealing with my own anxious pup - my goal is to make every moment a positive and stress-free experience. I also have my certificate in canine first-aid through Maritime Dog First-Aid Hiking Safety Course. I’m currently working full-time throughout the week at home. My schedule is flexible so I am able to dedicate lots of walk times for your pup! My weekends are spent outside exploring, or just relaxing at home. I have a fenced in yard that my own dog is obsessed with! I have a large crate if you prefer your dog be crated throughout their stay, but I’m open to doing whatever is best for you and your dogs peace of mind.

About: We had several dogs when I was growing up. I fostered a dog for about six months a couple years ago - I can’t have a dog in my place but I love playing and snuggling with them! I currently work close to home and am free before or after my 8-4 workdays. I have relatively full availability on the weekends as well! I enjoy hiking and would be willing to take a furry friend on long or short adventures! About: I’ve had dogs in my life since I was born, and that’s saying something at 38 years of age. My current residence doesn’t allow any pets so let me walk yours! I work full time Monday to Friday 8:00-16:30 but can be available every evening and weekends to walk your dog(s) and show them lots of attention. About: Being around dogs comes naturally to me as my family always kept family dogs as well as fostered. I am familiar and comfortable with a variety of large breed dogs, including those I've lived with: Aussie, German/Husky mixes, Komondor, Great Pyrs and female am staffs. I am currently raising and training my own puppy, Pretzel. We have attended several professional training courses together and his training is going very well. At these sessions I was also introduced to first aid measures for dogs, which I hope to never need but I am glad to know. I have a home in Sackville with a very large, fenced yard and am looking for clients in my area. I also like to make healthy dog food toppers and treats in my spare time! I have taken some time off from my full-time job to enjoy my new home and spend more time with Pretzel. I ran a restaurant for five years alongside my mum, and am now savouring some me-time. My schedule is very flexible. I will follow all instructions given for drop-in visits and walks. About: I've had loads of pet experience over the years, from early childhood to present day. I grew up in a rural setting where there were always animals around...farm animals such as chickens, pigs and turkeys. As for house pets, I've had MANY...several dogs over the years, too many cats to count, rabbits and hamsters. In my younger years I had a Poodle, a Samoyed, a Beagle and Cocker Spaniel. As for cats, well...let's just say our family was crazy for cats...I remember at one point in my youth, I had 10 at once! Later in life my husband and I had two Maincoons (Missy and Buster) who were literally the loves of our lives. We still miss them terribly and always think about them. In my 20s I worked at a pet store, where I also took care of the animals there (cats, dogs, hamsters, birds and fish). In my 30s I worked as a dog walker, which was very rewarding and so, so much fun. I would walk and care for three to six on any given day. I would pick them all up at each of their homes, each taking their preferred seat in my Jeep (the smallest one always insisting she sit in the front seat) and head out on our adventures for the day! These days I have several dogs in my orbit that belong to family members and friends. We have one in particular that we care for in our home periodically for our friends...Gordon the golden doodle, a.k.a. our nephew. All that being said I feel that I have a lot of experience and love to offer your fur babies, along with an endless supply of hugs, snuggles and kisses! Halifax is my permanent home but commute out of province for work. I am home for roughly half of the month, days vary but on average I'm home anywhere from 13-18 days a month and usually anywhere from 6-13 days at a time. I do get my schedule one month in advance on the 25th of each month, at which point I would update my calendar. I currently care for a friends dog periodically when they are away for a few days or sometimes longer. He has the run of the house, not crated and sleeps with us...not spoiled at all. We of course take him on walks and have play time...all the time.

About: I've been loving on and taking care of pets since I was a little kid. I'm that person who gets along with pets more than people and go straight to them at a party 🙃 I love to take dogs out on lots of walks, cuddle cats while I'm crocheting, and make sure that they are well taken care of. I'm currently between jobs and looking to pick up some work ASAP. I have lots of timt to spoil ypur pets. Open for weekends and holidays as well. I am a great guest and responsible house keeper.
