About: I've had loads of pet experience over the years, from early childhood to present day. I grew up in a rural setting where there were always animals around...farm animals such as chickens, pigs and turkeys. As for house pets, I've had MANY...several dogs over the years, too many cats to count, rabbits and hamsters. In my younger years I had a Poodle, a Samoyed, a Beagle and Cocker Spaniel. As for cats, well...let's just say our family was crazy for cats...I remember at one point in my youth, I had 10 at once! Later in life my husband and I had two Maincoons (Missy and Buster) who were literally the loves of our lives. We still miss them terribly and always think about them. In my 20s I worked at a pet store, where I also took care of the animals there (cats, dogs, hamsters, birds and fish). In my 30s I worked as a dog walker, which was very rewarding and so, so much fun. I would walk and care for three to six on any given day. I would pick them all up at each of their homes, each taking their preferred seat in my Jeep (the smallest one always insisting she sit in the front seat) and head out on our adventures for the day! These days I have several dogs in my orbit that belong to family members and friends. We have one in particular that we care for in our home periodically for our friends...Gordon the golden doodle, a.k.a. our nephew. All that being said I feel that I have a lot of experience and love to offer your fur babies, along with an endless supply of hugs, snuggles and kisses! Halifax is my permanent home but commute out of province for work. I am home for roughly half of the month, days vary but on average I'm home anywhere from 13-18 days a month and usually anywhere from 6-13 days at a time. I do get my schedule one month in advance on the 25th of each month, at which point I would update my calendar. I currently care for a friends dog periodically when they are away for a few days or sometimes longer. He has the run of the house, not crated and sleeps with us...not spoiled at all. We of course take him on walks and have play time...all the time.

About: Being around dogs comes naturally to me as my family always kept family dogs as well as fostered. I am familiar and comfortable with a variety of large breed dogs, including those I've lived with: Aussie, German/Husky mixes, Komondor, Great Pyrs and female am staffs. I am currently raising and training my own puppy, Pretzel. We have attended several professional training courses together and his training is going very well. At these sessions I was also introduced to first aid measures for dogs, which I hope to never need but I am glad to know. I have a home in Sackville with a very large, fenced yard and am looking for clients in my area. I also like to make healthy dog food toppers and treats in my spare time! I have taken some time off from my full-time job to enjoy my new home and spend more time with Pretzel. I ran a restaurant for five years alongside my mum, and am now savouring some me-time. My schedule is very flexible. I will follow all instructions given for drop-in visits and walks. I would like to get to know your dog and become familiar with his/her environment, and ensure that your animal feels comfortable with me

About: I am very well equipped to get the job done. I have had animals ever since I was a kid. I’ve taken care of dogs from small to large,from shit zus to German sheppards! No dog scares me and there isn’t a breed I haven’t worked with. I also have experience with cats, dogs, hamsters , fish, bunnies , chickens, ducks. I sadly do not do houses with reptiles. I am a part time nurse and full time animal lover. I’m good with bathing , walking , nail grooming , play time and anything else your pet may need. I work part-time but not a lot of hours a week which means I could have lots of time to watch and walk animals, I am free most mornings/afternoons! About: I’ve grown up around many kinds of pets and animals and have had the pleasure of looking after them all. These include but are not limited to dogs, cats, bunnies, guinea pigs, hamsters, chickens, ducks, and geese. Growing up like this gave me the opportunity to raise my own litter of bunnies and watch them grow up. I’ve also been hatching ducklings and chicks for a few years now and I get to help them grow. I’ve done dog walking for my neighbours and have experience working with animals on a farm. Growing up my mom was a dog groomer so i would help her and was always around dogs whether it was our own or someone else’s. I have a true passion for animals and strive to do the best I can when caring for them! I’m currently working part time, so I have a pretty flexible schedule. I’m available most weekdays and during the day, with Saturday’s only being available in the evening. I pay great attention to detail and will give your pet 100% of my attention when looking after them. You’ll return to your home how you left it and with a happy pet!

About: I know the essentials of dog care. I’ve lived in a home with a dog for a little over 12 years as an adult. I had the privilege of having my first pup Cooper, raising and training him. From this experience I learned some essential on senior dog care. He requires specialist veterinary care. I have also learned a lot from a family member who works in animal medicine I’ve gone through the incredibly cute puppy phase of training both of my pups. I use positive reinforcement always. Both my dogs thrived with this training and turned out well mannered but still have fun. With any dog I’ve had or looked after, I know exercise is essential. Of course the amount is breed dependant. The two pups I’ve had are high energy breeds, a husky shepherd mix and now a black Labrador. The saying indeed does ring true “a tired dog is a happy dog” I am currently available during the days and early evenings. I have a vehicle but live outside of HRM. It’s best for both people to have advanced notice to insure I can accommodate the request. I care for every pet with patience, kindness, and attention to their needs. Just like people no two dogs are the same. I would want to speak with you to make sure I understand what your furry friend requires to make it as stress free for them. I provide a safe, comfortable environment with plenty of love, supervision, exercise, and positive attention. I make sure your dog feels secure, happy, and well cared for while they’re with me.

About: I’ve had dogs in my life since I was born, and that’s saying something at 38 years of age. My current residence doesn’t allow any pets so let me walk yours! I work full time Monday to Friday 8:00-16:30 but can be available every evening and weekends to walk your dog(s) and show them lots of attention. I can assist at the home but would prefer to take your doggo out on the town and get lots of steps in. If there are places you wish the dog to visit most just let me know.

About: I’ve held a great amount of respect and love for dogs since a young age, and couldn’t wait to get my own as a young adult. My dogs have taught me a lot, we’ve gone through extensive training and I have years of experience with stubborn pets! There is truly no better feeling than fostering a bond with a selective dog.
