“Giulia came for an initial meet and greet with our three boys in preparation for a future dog sitting booking. It went exceptionally well. Giulia’s immediate focus was on the dogs, getting to know each of their distinct personalities and understanding their individual habits and needs.”

“Claire was great and has done several drop in visits with our dog Rosie. Rosie has gotten to go outside, have a snack and water, and play with some toys at each visit. Claire also provided photos showing the different activities our dog got to do at each visit. Overall, a great experience and would definitely recommend Claire!”

“Lori is amazing. We are so happy we have found her. Jasper and Gracie loves spending time with her. They are always happy and tired. It gives me so peace of mind knowing they are taken good care of so that we can enjoy some time away. Lori is a treasure! She plays their favorite games and adds in all the training I have been doing with them. I think Lori is their BFF!”

“Danny was great and very acknowlegable with the cats and very competent with our diabetic cat. She had no problems with giving insulin and needles and the cats seem to enjoy her time there. Danny was also very good with time and was there within the time frame given even woth her busy schedule. I would be glad to recommend her to anyone that needs a sitter especially with cats with extra needs. Thanks Danny B. very much for your time and effort.”

“Kristina and Michael did drop in visits for our 3 kitties while we were away. The kitties we happy and this was less stressful on them than taking them with us on the plane. Highly recommend and we would utilize their services in the future.”

“Kathleen was fantastic! As this was our first experience with Rover, she did a meet & greet at her expense a few days before the service. She spent extra time with our two pups (including one senior who is deaf & blind). Via pupdates and numerous pictures, she made us feel very comfortable leaving our doggos in her care.”

“We had an amazing experience with Emily! She took careful and caring care of our high energy pup and did a exceptional job, she provided lots of communication and was very flexible the whole time we were away:))”

About: I have been a pet owner for the past 20 plus years. I have had both senior cats and dogs. I was looking after a family members cat who is diabetic and can administer her meds. Currently without a pet so I'm ready to love yours! I've been retired for a year and a half so I have lots of spare time. I am prepared to stay with your pet in your home or welcome them into my and my husband's home. Care for your pet will be done to your specifications! I would treat your pets and your home with the trust and care I would also expect. Happy to water plants or any other small jobs.
“Bridget took great care of our girls and dropped in twice so we could enjoy a night out! She sent us several photos and followed all of our requests perfectly! We will definitely continue to use Bridget!”
About: I’m animal lover and crazy about them. I’ve been having a dog from 16 years ago. I know how sensitive they are and how much they need our attention. They are like baby toddlers that never grow up. I am available mostly on weekends to take care of this fur babies, go see them, feed them, play with them and make sure they have been taken care of. During the week, I can do it after 5 pm when I get off from work. I prefer to go to client’s house to take care of their fur babies because I have a cat and dog myself. I also believe they are happier when they stay in their own place when their owners are not around. They just need attention and don’t like to be alone. I play with them, give their food, take them out if they are dogs (although I walk with my cat too:) ) Doing anything to make their owners absence little for them.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Lower Sackville
Danny was an amazing pet sitter! She was friendly, professional, and always on time. She followed all of our instructions carefully and took excellent care of our senior cat, Sagan. She made sure his food and supplements were prepared properly, even left him some catnip, and spent time playing with him to keep him happy and engaged. She also kept everything clean by regularly cleaning the litter boxes and tidying up after him. We highly recommend Danny to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and attentive pet sitter. We would definitely book her again!

Catherine was absolutely amazing to deal with while we were away over New Years and gave us so much peace of mind. They were very well cared for and appreciate the updates and pictures each day, they're very affectionate and clearly loved having her there ❤️ It's our first time using rover and had an excellent experience!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
