“Jasper loves his new friend! From the first time he met Lori he was a happy boy. So grateful that Lori is willing to hang out with our sweet gentle giant. Great communication and loads of pictures. He was still ready for a snooze even after we arrived home.”

“Loren was very sweet and took good care of my kitty while I was away on a trip! Loki seemed to be happy upon my return! She was very responsive, gave good updates and spent quality time with Loki, making sure he had his daily brushing and treats! I would recommend Loren!”

“Cassie was amazing! She was very sweet with Tigger, who is 15 and can be a bit grumpy. She made sure to follow his routine and give him lots of attention when she dropped in. She was easy to communicate with and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again!”

About: I have been taking care of animals ever since I can remember! My background working on farms taught me to stay calm under pressure and handle animals of all sizes and temperaments. Whether it’s a stubborn puppy or a cat that needs a little extra space, I’m highly observant of animal body language. Feel free to reach out with any questions. I’m looking forward to helping you and your pet! I work remotely in the South End, giving me great flexibility for walks and house sitting. Since I'm home throughout the day, I can provide a high level of supervision and quick responses for any last minute needs. I treat your home with the same care I treat my own. While house sitting, I stay tidy, follow all house rules, and ensure your pet’s environment stays consistent and without stress. I provide detailed updates and photos after every visit or throughout a stay. I’m also happy to handle small household tasks.
“Yeha went above and beyond to provide excellent care for my 17 year old senior cat, Bella while I was away for a short work trip. She provided very detailed descriptions of each visit which made me feel confident that Bella was getting very detailed care, including administering her medication. I always felt assured from her updates and the attached photos showed how all of my kitties really liked her energy and were happy to see her! We will certainly hope to book Yeha again in the future!”

“Daryl is fantastic! He cared for our cat while we were away on our first big vacation after adopting our cat. Daryl is very quick to respond and thoughtful. We greatly appreciate the amazing care he took of our girl. We can't recommend him enough!”

About: I'm here to give your furry family the care they deserve, especially while you’re away which can be stressful for both sides. I grew up with dogs so am familiar with their needs and I'm currently a cat-mom. Since I was 9 years old, neighbours trusted me to visit their homes for pet care while they were traveling. I am also happy to send update photos of their life while you're away! EXPERIENCE Animal Types - Dogs and cats - Other: turtle, parrot, hamster Age Ranges - 2yr to senior age (puppy training is NOT offered) Medications - Experience with giving pills and medicated ear drops to both dogs and cats. - Injections: If injections are required, a thorough tutorial before you leave your pet in my care is required. I’m not formally needle trained, but can follow instructions and take pet healthcare needs seriously. AVAILABILITY I work from home so can be flexible with availability, although I'm unable to host pets in my home at this time. As for your pet's routines, you can trust I won’t miss a feeding time, potty break, or belly rub session. Your pet is in safe, reliable hands. *IMPORTANT NOTE* Please be familiar with what each service provides. Housesitting implies I will be staying overnight at your location. Drop-in sessions are short visits to your location. I believe in meeting pets where they are. 🐶 For a dog, I’ll bring the energy and playtime. For a cat? 😽 I understand they might just want to be left to contemplate life while perched on top of the fridge because....boundaries. Rest easy that I’ll get to know your pet’s unique personality and tailor my approach, because I'm the guest in their space!
“Emily came by to meet Bagel and review instructions before the drop-in visit, which was very much appreciated. She was very communicative in the lead-up and our dog seemed happy to see her. I would book with Emily again.”

“This was my second time booking with Hayley and Lucy, and once again it was a great experience! They took wonderful care of my babies, followed all of my care instructions, and provided lots of pictures and detailed updates throughout the stay. I would absolutely recommend Hayley and Lucy to anyone looking for reliable and caring pet sitters, and I will definitely book with them again!”

“We are very thankful that Emily was able to stop in and take our puppy Pico out for a bit. We were hesitant as we have had mixed experiences in the past but felt very good knowing Pico was in Emily’s hands. Definitely recommend and will have her back for sure.”

“Jaiden is a wonderful sitter who prioritizes clear, responsive communication to let you know that she has your pets' care front and center. One of our two cats is elderly and has myriad issues, so we have to leave any sitter with finicky instructions, and after interacting with Jaiden we have all the confidence that she's looking at every piece. Whenever we've had changes of plans Jaiden has also been so understanding and accommodating.”

“Thank you Courtney! It was comforting and reassuring to know that Kitty was left in good hands and being taken care of in our absence. Courtney, you did a great job! Thank you!!”

“Jiaxin has been incredible with our 11 year old cat, Polly. She is always on time, asks questions when she has them, and sends lots of pictures and updates about her visits. Zoe took care of my senior cat, Vera, and it was a good experience all around! She was communicative and great with Vera, who can be a bit slow to warm up. Vera took to her immediately and it gave me peace of mind to know she was well cared for while I was away. Zoe asked lots of questions when we first met up to make sure she fully understood Vera's needs, likes and dislikes. I will definitely book again!

Bianca was so amazing! She dropped in to check on our kitty each day, sent such great updates and photos after each visit, and was just overall so easy to communicate with. Felt completely at ease knowing she was stopping by to check in on our boy, as well as keep him company, refill water, and play with him each day. Don't hesitate to book her!

If I could give Shana 10 stars I would. She is the best, she is so understanding and compassionate when it comes to your pets care. She knows how to make a person feel so comfortable in leaving their pet in her care. Our cat Tukker is my wife’s fur baby and is very particular about who takes care of him while we are away, and knowing that Shana is their for Tukker makes her feel so relaxed that she can enjoy her vacation time, without any worries. Thanks Shana you are the best, and we can’t say enough great things about you. She is an animal person and a people person and understands everyone’s needs. You are in Professional hands when she is taking care of your pet. I highly recommend her.

As always, Steph was amazing with my 2 cats while I was away on vacation. One of my cats was recently diagnosed with asthma and Steph is the only sitter I’ve had that she won’t hide from, so I was eternally grateful that she was successfully able to administer her puffer each visit! Having Steph take care of my babies puts me at ease as I know they are well taken care of ☺️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
