I grew up with dogs so am familiar with their needs and I'm currently a cat-mom. Since I was 9 years old, neighbours trusted me to visit their homes for pet care while they were traveling. I’m not formally needle trained, but can follow instructions and take pet healthcare needs seriously. AVAILABILITY I work from home so can be flexible with availability, although I'm unable to host pets in my home at this time. As for your pet's routines, you can trust I won’t miss a feeding time, potty break, or belly rub session. Your pet is in safe, reliable hands. *IMPORTANT NOTE* Please be familiar with what each service provides. Housesitting implies I will be staying overnight at your location. Drop-in sessions are short visits to your location. I believe in meeting pets where they are. 🐶 For a dog, I’ll bring the energy and playtime. About: Hi! My name is Divya. I grew up in Halifax and now live in downtown Dartmouth. I work from home and have an unfenced green space where dogs often play in front of my house. Growing up, I had a German shepherd mix named Lola. She was a little sister to me, and I took care of her into her old age. I understand the patience and care elder dogs need. I have boarded my friends pets for up to two weeks and always send pictures and daily updates. I also take care of my parents dog, Shanti. She is a golden retriever mix. When she was a puppy I ensured she was safe while in heat prior to being spayed. Dogs have always been a part of my life and I hope I can make your canine friend feel safe and taken care of with daily adventures and lots of praise! My job offers the flexibility to work from home. I can easily take your canine friend for morning, lunchtime, and afternoon walks, and an adventure in the early evening. I live alone in a two bedroom, 1 bathroom flat. There is an unfenced field in front of my house where other dogs often run and play. I also can take your canine friends for walks in the Dartmouth Commons, Shubie Park, and to nearby lakes if your doggy is okay with car rides!

Hence I wish I can make some special friends over here... I and my partner work from home nd free to take of your pets especially to give them good time for play, exercise and can dedicate the whole time for this as I love pets I have a fenced back yard and I and my partner will be supervising the play time in the back yard ourselves . As we work from home, we supervisor the pets very closely. If we have to do errands , we make sure either one of us are home and the pets won't be left alone anytime.

Zoe took care of my senior cat, Vera, and it was a good experience all around! She was communicative and great with Vera, who can be a bit slow to warm up. Vera took to her immediately and it gave me peace of mind to know she was well cared for while I was away. Zoe asked lots of questions when we first met up to make sure she fully understood Vera's needs, likes and dislikes. I will definitely book again!
Bianca was so amazing! She dropped in to check on our kitty each day, sent such great updates and photos after each visit, and was just overall so easy to communicate with. Felt completely at ease knowing she was stopping by to check in on our boy, as well as keep him company, refill water, and play with him each day. Don't hesitate to book her!
Jaiden is a wonderful sitter who prioritizes clear, responsive communication to let you know that she has your pets' care front and center. One of our two cats is elderly and has myriad issues, so we have to leave any sitter with finicky instructions, and after interacting with Jaiden we have all the confidence that she's looking at every piece. Whenever we've had changes of plans Jaiden has also been so understanding and accommodating.
If I could give Shana 10 stars I would. She is the best, she is so understanding and compassionate when it comes to your pets care. She knows how to make a person feel so comfortable in leaving their pet in her care. Our cat Tukker is my wife’s fur baby and is very particular about who takes care of him while we are away, and knowing that Shana is their for Tukker makes her feel so relaxed that she can enjoy her vacation time, without any worries. Thanks Shana you are the best, and we can’t say enough great things about you. She is an animal person and a people person and understands everyone’s needs.
