“We would highly recommend Ash & Abhi. They cared for our one year old double doodle for almost 3 weeks. Especially appreciated the occasional photos and short videos! A picture is worth a thousand words and we could see that Mia was enjoying her stay. We prefer to travel with our dog but sometimes that isn’t possible so it’s great to know someone who can provide a welcome in their home. Thank you!!”

“We had a great experience with Thiago and Nicole! They looked after our boy Bhoora for a full week and took really good care of him. He came back happy, relaxed, and clearly well looked after. You can tell they genuinely care about the dogs they watch. We really appreciate their kindness and would definitely trust them again in the future.”

“Greer was absolutely amazing with our dog, Beau! She looked after him while we were away for a wedding, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. It was clear from the updates and photos that Beau had the best time—he was so happy, relaxed, and well cared for. Knowing he was in such great hands let us fully enjoy our weekend away. We would absolutely trust Greer with Beau again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable pet sitter. Thank you so much, Greer!”

“We truly found the best care for our dog Sully with Deanna. His care was second to none, she kept us updated with messages & photos & you could just see how relaxed he was. We cannot wait to rebook with her in the future for Sully!”

“Gigi was super sweet and took amazing care of Pepita! She sent pictures and updates every day, and took her on some fun adventures. I’m super grateful to her for taking such good care of my puppy. I will definitely rebook with her in the future! 💙☺️”

“Would 10/10 rebook again! So flexible with what we were planning and Willie had such a great time. They kept us updated with photos and videos the entire time. Made our vacation so much easier!”

About: I am a reliable sitter that has cared for many breeds of dogs. Animals have always been my passion and I love to lend a helping hand. I also have a sweet golden of my own and everyday spent with her is a joy. I am living in Middleton during the week for work but would love to look after your furry friends on weekends so you can get out and enjoy. I have a friendly golden who loves other dogs so if you want some socializing for your dog she is a perfect playmate. Can walk your dogs alone or with my golden. I live in a house with a large fully fenced in backyard off a dead end quiet street. I have a golden retriever who is very friendly and loves all dogs so it would be fun if your pet is looking for a companion to play with. If you prefer your dog to be cared for alone, that is also not a problem.
“Ruck was an amazing sitter for my dog Bailey while I was travelling for a week. His dog Blue and Bailey were great buddies and he was beyond accomodating with my last minute request for a sitter after my plans fell through with another sitter. He sent updates throughout my trip and when I got back late from the airport to a dead car battery he was able to bring Bailey home to me that night! I would highly recommend him to anyone and I hope to be able to leave Bailey in his capable hands the next time I’m travelling 🙂”

“Emily and her family truly have a passion for dogs and it shows. We felt comfortable with Emily from the start and could tell she puts a lot of time and consideration in her care and her communications. Will be booking with Emily again as it was such a gift knowing our Chico was in such great hands.”

“Megan recently looked after my two babies - Cavalier King Charles spaniels for three nights and they had a great stay! Megan sent frequent updates with pictures. She really put my mind at ease about leaving them to go on vacation, which is what I needed. She took great care of them and they seemed to fit in very well in her home. We will continue to use Megan whenever we need someone to look after our babies!”

About: We have a 13 lbs Shih Tzu who gets along great with most dogs. He is well loved and we would treat your dog the same. I work 8-3 but am off during the summer/ weekdays and holidays. Your dog would have lots of outdoor time and would be well cared for. My dog isn’t crated most days but is able to be. I would prefer to crate both dogs until the 2 became use to each other.
“Rebecca took great care of Nash during his stay and was very flexible and accommodating for some of his extra needs following dental surgery. It is clear that Nash got lots of exercise and was well loved during his stay. We would highly recommend Rebecca and her family :)”

“Liefe, Eliza and Kiran were great and I had no issues. Basil stayed with them for two weeks and I felt she would have gotten lots of love and attention. They responded in a timely manner when we were scheduling dropping her off and picking her up and let me know when there were issues. I would book with them again.”

“Sarah was great with Beckham, was patient with him and put up with his quirks as a senior dog learning to adjust to his senior-ness. She also provided updates of him during his stay. Thanks for taking such good care of him, Sarah!”
“Megan is the best! Our big dog George has an amazing time there with their dog, Sunny. We’ve had multiple stays now and it’s always a good experience, we get lots of photos and we feel like they love George like their own!”

Sydney and Mike took such wonderful care of Pablo, and I’m so grateful for how attentive and caring they were with him. It was very clear that they genuinely cared about his comfort and wellbeing, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. They were reliable, thoughtful, and treated Pablo like he was their own. I felt completely comfortable leaving him in their care, and I would absolutely trust them with him again. I highly recommend Sydney and Mike to anyone looking for kind, dependable, and genuinely caring pet boarders!

Felicity (& Gail) were incredible with my rather nervous girl. My dog is very selective, and within mere minutes of meeting Felicity (who was going to be the main caregiver) in their home, Lizzie was sprawled out on the floor and happy to let herself be touched. They stayed in contact, kept me updated, and after 8 days, I picked up a very happy & tired doggo. Would recommend, and will absolutely return to them for future needs.

We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for our senior cat, Zoey! They were so caring, attentive, and responsive throughout her stay. Knowing she was in such good hands made moving so much easier for us. It was clear they genuinely cared for Zoey and treated her like their own. We would absolutely book with them again! 🐾❤️

My dog, Nova had a great time with Melissa! I will definitely book again with her soon. She was easy to talk to and sent me lots of updates and photos to let me know how my pup was doing Melissa and her family have a beautiful backyard which is a Haven for dogs! She also lives close to a beautiful trail system so appropriate for dogs of a variety of energy levels.

"I had a wonderful experience leaving my dachshund with her! Shea is so patient and truly knows how to take care of dogs. Her own dog got along great with mine, which made me feel so at ease. She was always friendly and kept me updated with photos and messages while I was away. I could tell my pup was well cared for and happy the entire time. Highly recommend!"

Exceptional Dog Sitter! I couldn't be happier with the care my dog received. From day one, Lou was incredibly attentive and proactive, providing regular updates, photos, and messages that gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that my dog was being treated with genuine care and affection. I especially appreciated that she took my dog on two walks every day, ensuring plenty of exercise, stimulation, and routine. The consistent communication and dedication made all the difference, and I could tell my dog was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I highly recommend Lou to anyone looking for a trustworthy, reliable, and caring person to look after their pet. I'll definitely be booking with her again! 🐾❤️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
