“Our wee Fig just spent an amazing week with Carolina and her dog, Arthur, at their house. From the instant we met Carolina we were certain Fig was in for a week of being loved, receiving the highest standard of care, snuggles, walks and other cool adventures. While we were away, Carolina sent us lots of adorable pictures and updates about how Fig was doing. There wasn’t one moment during our time away that we worried about Fig’s happiness or health. Fig is a pup with some gastrointestinal issues and Carolina was a pro at administering her meds, and making sure Fig’s food was soaked in boiled water so it was perfectly “mushy”, just the way our vet said it needed to be (gross). We are grateful beyond words. We will book Carolina again and again. If we could giver her 20 stars, we would.”

About: Lifelong dog lover and proud dog mom to my Australian Shepherd, Pepper 🐾 My home is calm, cozy, and very dog-friendly. I work from home, so your pup will get plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day—no long hours alone. I’m experienced with daily routines, walks, playtime, and making sure each dog feels comfortable and cared for. I’m happy to care for puppies (with all the patience and consistency they need!) as well as senior dogs who may need a gentler, more relaxed approach. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or prefers to cuddle and relax, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and right at home. I work from home most days, which allows me to give pets lots of attention and keep a consistent routine. I’m home Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and weekends, so your pet will have plenty of company throughout the day. On Wednesdays, I’m in the office, but I’m located very close to home and can easily come back for check-ins, walks, and care as needed. Overall, I have a flexible schedule and can adapt to your pet’s routine to make sure they’re comfortable, well cared for, and never left alone for long. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in a pet-friendly apartment on the main floor, which means quick and easy access to the outdoors for bathroom breaks and walks—no long waits or elevators needed. We’re also located near great off-leash parks and walking areas, perfect for getting in lots of exercise and fresh air (always based on your comfort level and your dog’s needs). Inside, my home is clean, calm, and set up to be a safe, cozy environment where your dog can relax and feel at home. I’m attentive, responsible, and always mindful of each dog’s routine, safety, and well-being.
“Rain was lovely to deal with and took wonderful care of Ellie! Rain accommodated Ellie however she could, checked in with me and sent lots of pictures! Ellie was happy when I picked her up and I could tell she enjoyed her stay! We will definitely be going back!”

“We left Ava with Sonya for five weeks, and are very happy with the results. Sonya and her family took great care of Ava, and we saw some lovely pictures of her playing in the snow and then snoozing on her bed. We'll be back!”
“Deanna felt like the right fit from the beginning. She has a genuine love for your fur baby. I never once worried and I know Milo won’t want to leave when we go to pick him up! Highly recommend Deanna.”

“Liefe, Eliza and Kiran were great and I had no issues. Basil stayed with them for two weeks and I felt she would have gotten lots of love and attention. They responded in a timely manner when we were scheduling dropping her off and picking her up and let me know when there were issues. I would book with them again.”

“Sarah was great with Beckham, was patient with him and put up with his quirks as a senior dog learning to adjust to his senior-ness. She also provided updates of him during his stay. Thanks for taking such good care of him, Sarah!”
About: We have a 13 lbs Shih Tzu who gets along great with most dogs. He is well loved and we would treat your dog the same. I work 8-3 but am off during the summer/ weekdays and holidays. Your dog would have lots of outdoor time and would be well cared for. My dog isn’t crated most days but is able to be. I would prefer to crate both dogs until the 2 became use to each other.
“We really appreciate Audrey and her expertise with dogs. Her experience shows with how she managed our hyperactive duck tolling retriever, Hudson. She is communicative, gives us plenty of video and photo updates on Hudson, and collaborates with us when it comes to necessary situations. She takes our dog out for lots of activities (fetch, swimming, exploring), plus she has 2 dogs of her own so our dog was never bored! We feel relieved knowing Hudson is in great hands and someone is caring for him while we’re away for our medical appointments. We highly recommend Audrey’s services!”

“Caissie was welcomed by Jennifer and her family into their home. Lots of walks and play time with her dog Navy. Jennifer sent us regular updates and photos which was appreciated. I would not hesitate to leave Caissie with Jennifer again.”

“Luna had a wonderful time staying with Victoria's family and their two dogs. I think she was a little sad to go home! We enjoyed receiving the pictures and updates on our trip. Would happily recommend Victoria as a great sitter.”

“Felt very good having Louie with Sarah and Maggie, he was so tired when he came home as Sarah made sure the week was fun filled and busy. Lots of pic and video updates throughout the week which we loved. Hope to keep in touch with Sarah and Maggie!”

“We had a great experience with Thiago and Nicole! They looked after our boy Bhoora for a full week and took really good care of him. He came back happy, relaxed, and clearly well looked after. You can tell they genuinely care about the dogs they watch. We really appreciate their kindness and would definitely trust them again in the future.”

About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience with animals—I’ve grown up raising both cats and dogs, so caring for pets comes naturally to me. I also have over a year of customer service experience, including time spent working at a pet store, where I learned even more about animal care, behavior, and building trust with both pets and their owners. I’m reliable, patient, and genuinely love spending time with animals. I’m fully available to care for and play with your pets any day of the week, at any time, including evenings, mornings, and on weekends! I take pet care seriously and always prioritize safety. I’m attentive, gentle, and follow any instructions given. I am also comfortable with crating if needed.

Mark & Evangeline were awesome with Zimba. They took very good care of him for the 2 weeks that we were away, and made him a part of their family. They sent us daily updates with pictures and short videos. They gave Zimba his medication in a timely manner, and followed his regular routine. When we picked him up we noticed that he was happy and well taken care of. Mark & Evangeline are the best sitters we have had so far and I would highly recommend them. I will definitely keep Zimba with them in the future. Thank you Mark & Evangeline! 🥰

They all took wonderful care of Wellington. He tends to be an anxious dog, but they were patient with him, and he was able to settle and warm up to them. He also was scared of stairs, but again, they were patient, and by the end of the weekend, he was going up and down the stairs without any issue. I would not hesitate to book in with them again!! Thank you so much!

Evan was fantastic! We needed someone to watch our dog, Kimchi, on very short notice, and he was incredibly accommodating. He was super responsive throughout the entire process and kept us updated with photos, which gave us great peace of mind. Kimchi looked so calm and comfortable with him, and it was clear she was having a great time. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely book with Evan again. Highly recommend!

Milissa was amazing with Bo and with communication. It was such a relief to know how well he was being cared for so well while we travelled for 2 weeks. He’s a big dog who has a very consistent routine so changing that can be stressful but Milissa was so attentive to his needs. If she’d have him back, we’d would be so happy to have him stay with her again.

Absolutely wonderful !! I worked our of town for a week and left my dog with Kelly. She took great care of my dog with walking feeding and playing . She sent a couple pictures and was very easy to communicate with. No issues at all and if i have another trip out of town She will be first on my list to take care of my pooch ! If I could give 10 stars and 2 thumbs up I would

It was my first time using Brit’s services and I couldn’t be happier! She was incredibly quick to respond, which immediately put me at ease. She had already prepared a lovely environment for my cat Toto before his arrival, which showed so much thoughtfulness and care. As a cat parent, the most important thing to me is knowing my kitty is in good hands and with Brit, I had absolutely no doubt. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a loving and reliable cat sitter! 🐱🙏

Claire was awesome with Kody! She allowed him time and space to settle in and get comfy. From drop off to pick up, communication throughout was timely and reassuring. I am a new user of the Rover platform and app. Claire was very helpful with prompting me to have successful experience. 5 stars🌟

Louie was a wonderful dog-sitter with our energetic pup. She sent regular updates, and photos of our dog running at the park and happily playing, as well as resting at her home. I would seek out her services again and would recommend her to others. Thank you, Louie!

Laura took excellent care of my cat, Regal, during her boarding. Throughout the entire stay, Laura was caring, attentive, and professional. She kept me updated regularly, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. Most importantly, Regal was very happy, comfortable, and well cared for during her stay. Thank you, Laura, for taking such wonderful care of Regal! 🐱❤️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
