About: I've grown up with family dogs since I was 8. I've been volunteering for dog care for 6 years with the SPCA. I've raised and trained my own dog (Golden Retriever) from 8 weeks to now her being 1.5 years old and gets along with every person and animal she's ever met. Meet & Greet I prefer to do a meet and greet with every new client. We can do this at my house in my fenced back yard and we can get to know each other while your pup can play and run around with my dog. I work from home part-time so your pup will have plenty of attention throughout the day. We start mornings with breakfast and a walk around the neighbourhood before work. Lunch time we head to the off-leash park nearby to burn off energy and play to prepare for afternoon naps while I work. After work is supper and free play time however the pups want to enjoy themselves. On my flex days I'm home all day, so your dog will never be left alone for long and can enjoy a consistent, calm routine. Your dog’s safety and comfort come first. I have a fully fenced yard for supervised outdoor play, and I keep a close eye on all pups during their stay. I only host dogs that are friendly and socialized, ensuring a positive environment for everyone. My home is clean, dog-friendly, and filled with cozy spots for napping between adventures.
About: I've done pet sitting for dogs and cats of family and friends. I've also owned 3 dogs and 2 cats in my lifetime. I do not currently have any pets in the house full time. I currently work full time in Dartmouth until 330pm but I am free most weekends and weekdays after 4pm. I will normally be away from my house during the week for 10+ hours I have a house with a large unfenced yard in a very quiet neighborhood. I do not currently have any pets in the house full time.
“Carolina took great care of my dog, Roxy, from just the conversation to book! She helped me coordinate knowing Roxy is nervous of high energy dogs and consistently sent updates of Roxy throughout her stay. I had high confidence in Carolina to enjoy my trip and know my pup was in great hands. Will definitely be reaching out to Carolina again and highly suggest!!”

About: Lifelong dog lover and proud dog mom to my Australian Shepherd, Pepper 🐾 My home is calm, cozy, and very dog-friendly. I work from home, so your pup will get plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day—no long hours alone. I’m experienced with daily routines, walks, playtime, and making sure each dog feels comfortable and cared for. I’m happy to care for puppies (with all the patience and consistency they need!) as well as senior dogs who may need a gentler, more relaxed approach. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or prefers to cuddle and relax, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and right at home. I work from home most days, which allows me to give pets lots of attention and keep a consistent routine. I’m home Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and weekends, so your pet will have plenty of company throughout the day. On Wednesdays, I’m in the office, but I’m located very close to home and can easily come back for check-ins, walks, and care as needed. Overall, I have a flexible schedule and can adapt to your pet’s routine to make sure they’re comfortable, well cared for, and never left alone for long. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in a pet-friendly apartment on the main floor, which means quick and easy access to the outdoors for bathroom breaks and walks—no long waits or elevators needed. We’re also located near great off-leash parks and walking areas, perfect for getting in lots of exercise and fresh air (always based on your comfort level and your dog’s needs). Inside, my home is clean, calm, and set up to be a safe, cozy environment where your dog can relax and feel at home. I’m attentive, responsible, and always mindful of each dog’s routine, safety, and well-being.
“We didn't know that when we left our dog with Audrey, he would be having his own adventures with her and her dogs. We were so happy we chose Audrey and were able to vacation worry free. We received regular updates, photos and even a few videos. Audrey's space was perfect for our dog who loves to be outdoors.”

“Rain was lovely to deal with and took wonderful care of Ellie! Rain accommodated Ellie however she could, checked in with me and sent lots of pictures! Ellie was happy when I picked her up and I could tell she enjoyed her stay! We will definitely be going back!”

About: Walking dogs was my main part-time job all through elementary and highschool. Now I have a dog of my own so it has once again become part of my daily routine. Sunny and I are always looking for new friends so would be excited to meet your pup! I am a young professional working remotely in the environmental field. I have quite a bit of flexibility in my schedule to work in some pet care! I am an active person keen to get outside with your pet! I am responsive to pets needs whether that means a trip to the bathroom or a game of tug-of-war.
About: We have a 13 lbs Shih Tzu who gets along great with most dogs. He is well loved and we would treat your dog the same. I work 8-3 but am off during the summer/ weekdays and holidays. Your dog would have lots of outdoor time and would be well cared for. My dog isn’t crated most days but is able to be. I would prefer to crate both dogs until the 2 became use to each other.
“Liefe, Eliza and Kiran were great and I had no issues. Basil stayed with them for two weeks and I felt she would have gotten lots of love and attention. They responded in a timely manner when we were scheduling dropping her off and picking her up and let me know when there were issues. I would book with them again.”

“Luna had a wonderful time staying with Victoria's family and their two dogs. I think she was a little sad to go home! We enjoyed receiving the pictures and updates on our trip. Would happily recommend Victoria as a great sitter.”

“Sonya and her family took great care of my dog Stevie over 4 days, and provided lots of updates! Stevie looked right at home and was so sad and protesting when she had to leave!! I would recommend her services to all!”

“We truly found the best care for our dog Sully with Deanna. His care was second to none, she kept us updated with messages & photos & you could just see how relaxed he was. We cannot wait to rebook with her in the future for Sully!”

“I am so pleased to have Sarah to leave Henry with. I love that she keeps me updated with messages and photos. Sarah treats him with so much care and love and welcomes him in like her own. I highly recommend her.”

“Sarah was great with Beckham, was patient with him and put up with his quirks as a senior dog learning to adjust to his senior-ness. She also provided updates of him during his stay. Thanks for taking such good care of him, Sarah!”
About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience with animals—I’ve grown up raising both cats and dogs, so caring for pets comes naturally to me. I also have over a year of customer service experience, including time spent working at a pet store, where I learned even more about animal care, behavior, and building trust with both pets and their owners. I’m reliable, patient, and genuinely love spending time with animals. I’m fully available to care for and play with your pets any day of the week, at any time, including evenings, mornings, and on weekends! I take pet care seriously and always prioritize safety. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
