“Stay #2 with Jessica went off without a hitch (first was house sitting, this time he stayed at hers)—great vacation for Jerry while we were away. He made a lot of friends, got a lot of exercise and had a wonderful and safe time. Definitely booking again.”

“David and Emma were fantastic with our dog, Stanley. He has quite a few quirky routines and specific needs, and they took excellent care of him and followed everything perfectly. They truly went above and beyond to make sure he was happy and well cared for. I wouldn’t hesitate to have them look after Stanley again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter.”

About: I have spent my entire life caring for dogs and cats and have developed a strong understanding of their behavior, body language, and individual needs. My experience ranges from day‑to‑day care to basic training, socialization, and creating safe, positive environments for pets of all temperaments. I am also the owner of a one‑year‑old Doodle named Lexie, whom I personally trained. She is a friendly, well‑socialized dog who loves meeting new companions and will be a wonderful playmate for your pet. Together, we strive to make every animal feel comfortable, engaged, and cared for. I currently work M-F during the day but I can offer my services in the evenings and weekends. I'm very flexible and can work with you as long as my work schedule doesn't interfere. I provide a safe, calm, and caring environment for every pet in my home or my client’s home. I believe in treating all animals with kindness, patience, and respect, and I make their comfort and well‑being my top priority. My home features a fully fenced, grassy yard where pets can safely explore, play, and enjoy outdoor time. Whether your pet prefers energetic play or quiet sniffing breaks, I ensure they are supervised at all times. I also have experience with positive‑reinforcement training, including helping dogs learn not to pull on walks. I truly enjoy walking dogs and would be happy to provide your pet with safe, structured, and enjoyable outings tailored to their pace and personality. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and routine will always come first while they are in my care.
“Amazing dog sitter! I felt completely at ease knowing my dogs were in such caring hands. Super communicative, sent lots of sweet photos, and truly went above and beyond. Would absolutely book again!”

“"I had a wonderful experience leaving my dachshund with her! Shea is so patient and truly knows how to take care of dogs. Her own dog got along great with mine, which made me feel so at ease. She was always friendly and kept me updated with photos and messages while I was away. I could tell my pup was well cared for and happy the entire time. Highly recommend!"”

“5 stars aren’t enough!! Emily and her family took such great care of brooks. I felt completely at ease and was worried he wouldn’t want to come home with us at pickup! Haha. Looking forward to his next stay over Christmas.”

About: We have a 13 lbs Shih Tzu who gets along great with most dogs. He is well loved and we would treat your dog the same. I work 8-3 but am off during the summer/ weekdays and holidays. Your dog would have lots of outdoor time and would be well cared for. My dog isn’t crated most days but is able to be. I would prefer to crate both dogs until the 2 became use to each other.
“We had a great experience with Thiago and Nicole! They looked after our boy Bhoora for a full week and took really good care of him. He came back happy, relaxed, and clearly well looked after. You can tell they genuinely care about the dogs they watch. We really appreciate their kindness and would definitely trust them again in the future.”

About: I am a reliable sitter that has cared for many breeds of dogs. Animals have always been my passion and I love to lend a helping hand. I also have a sweet golden of my own and everyday spent with her is a joy. I am living in Middleton during the week for work but would love to look after your furry friends on weekends so you can get out and enjoy. I have a friendly golden who loves other dogs so if you want some socializing for your dog she is a perfect playmate. Can walk your dogs alone or with my golden. I live in a house with a large fully fenced in backyard off a dead end quiet street. I have a golden retriever who is very friendly and loves all dogs so it would be fun if your pet is looking for a companion to play with. If you prefer your dog to be cared for alone, that is also not a problem.
“Absolutely wonderful !! I worked our of town for a week and left my dog with Kelly. She took great care of my dog with walking feeding and playing . She sent a couple pictures and was very easy to communicate with. No issues at all and if i have another trip out of town She will be first on my list to take care of my pooch ! If I could give 10 stars and 2 thumbs up I would”

“Ruck was an amazing sitter for my dog Bailey while I was travelling for a week. His dog Blue and Bailey were great buddies and he was beyond accomodating with my last minute request for a sitter after my plans fell through with another sitter. He sent updates throughout my trip and when I got back late from the airport to a dead car battery he was able to bring Bailey home to me that night! I would highly recommend him to anyone and I hope to be able to leave Bailey in his capable hands the next time I’m travelling 🙂”

“Greer was absolutely amazing with our dog, Beau! She looked after him while we were away for a wedding, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. It was clear from the updates and photos that Beau had the best time—he was so happy, relaxed, and well cared for. Knowing he was in such great hands let us fully enjoy our weekend away. We would absolutely trust Greer with Beau again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable pet sitter. Thank you so much, Greer!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lower Sackville
This was our first time using Rover and I have to say like any care situation I was nervous leaving my two dogs (11years and 18 months) with a “stranger”. They too were nervous and wanted to leave with us at drop off. Well I had no need to worry— not only did Gina’s kindness and loving manner towards both pups put me at immediate ease—she was amazing at keeping us updated on how they settled in and playing with her own dogs. We were away for three days for our son’s wedding and her updates and photos really eased my mind and gave me quite the chuckle seeing my older dog cuddled snoozing with her dog. She was AMAZING and we would not only highly recommend we hope to book again in the fall for another weekend.

David and Emma were fantastic with our dog, Stanley. He has quite a few quirky routines and specific needs, and they took excellent care of him and followed everything perfectly. They truly went above and beyond to make sure he was happy and well cared for. I wouldn’t hesitate to have them look after Stanley again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
