“We have used Claire a couple times for pee breaks during work hours! She is always on time and makes sure to take lots of pictures. She leaves a detailed report on potty breaks and play time as well! She makes sure to let us know she locked our doors before she leaves. We’d highly recommend her! :)”

“Kristina was amazing as always, she made sure to take lots of photos and give us updates! Our cat has diabetes and requires daily insulin shots, we were able to have a stress free vacation knowing our cats were taken care of.”

“Danny was great and very acknowlegable with the cats and very competent with our diabetic cat. She had no problems with giving insulin and needles and the cats seem to enjoy her time there. Danny was also very good with time and was there within the time frame given even woth her busy schedule. I would be glad to recommend her to anyone that needs a sitter especially with cats with extra needs. Thanks Danny B. very much for your time and effort.”

“Lori is amazing. We are so happy we have found her. Jasper and Gracie loves spending time with her. They are always happy and tired. It gives me so peace of mind knowing they are taken good care of so that we can enjoy some time away. Lori is a treasure! She plays their favorite games and adds in all the training I have been doing with them. I think Lori is their BFF!”

“Miranda was fabulous! She gave us a heads up before heading to our place, and was communicative while looking after our little girl. We are looking forward to having her help again soon!”

About: I’m animal lover and crazy about them. I’ve been having a dog from 16 years ago. I know how sensitive they are and how much they need our attention. They are like baby toddlers that never grow up. I am available mostly on weekends to take care of this fur babies, go see them, feed them, play with them and make sure they have been taken care of. During the week, I can do it after 5 pm when I get off from work. I prefer to go to client’s house to take care of their fur babies because I have a cat and dog myself. I also believe they are happier when they stay in their own place when their owners are not around. They just need attention and don’t like to be alone. I play with them, give their food, take them out if they are dogs (although I walk with my cat too:) ) Doing anything to make their owners absence little for them.
“Giulia was great with Sunny! She is definitely experienced with young puppies who are still in that chewing stage. She was on time and communicated with me the whole time. Would highly recommend Giulia!”

“Kathleen kept us in the loop and sent lots of cute pictures. She did all the important things and played with the cats. She could even keep up with a crazy kitten who is trying new things all the time. I have no hesitation in recommending her .”

“Maleficent was in very good spirits and it looked like she had a lot of fun with Ocean. Ocean did a very good job making sure she was fed and got bathroom breaks and everything else in between :)”

“Alaina took great care of my Bun buns while I was away! She always kept me updated on how they were doing and sent me photos. Also took the time to play and gave them the love they deserve. I definitely left them in great care and felt at ease the whole time I was away. Thank you again Alaina!! I will give you a message next time I need a babysitter for my bunnies ?”

“Just hired Mallory to look after our dog Lillith during my vacation over Christmas holidays. There was a week of in house and then a week of drop in visits. We met before we left so Lilly could get to know her and show her around. She was the perfect fit! She is pleasant and reliable and sent daily updates. House as well as my dog was well cared for. My fish were also attended to and when my tank filter stopped working while i was away she contacted me and went to store and replaced it for me! She is very mature for her age and down to earth. It has been a pleasure to get to know her and she is now newest member of my family :) Highly recommend without reservation that Mallory can look after your pets. Thank you Rover”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lower Sackville
Danny was an amazing pet sitter! She was friendly, professional, and always on time. She followed all of our instructions carefully and took excellent care of our senior cat, Sagan. She made sure his food and supplements were prepared properly, even left him some catnip, and spent time playing with him to keep him happy and engaged. She also kept everything clean by regularly cleaning the litter boxes and tidying up after him. We highly recommend Danny to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and attentive pet sitter. We would definitely book her again!

Kristina & Michael went above & beyond when our flights got cancelled and trip extended...they extended their services and got in to top up everything for my cat once more before we returned home - in a snowstorm!! So grateful they were able to do this and take this worry off my mind in a stressful situation.
Catherine was absolutely amazing to deal with while we were away over New Years and gave us so much peace of mind. They were very well cared for and appreciate the updates and pictures each day, they're very affectionate and clearly loved having her there ❤️ It's our first time using rover and had an excellent experience!

Giulia took wonderful care of our 12-year-old senior lab, Gibson, while we were out of town. She was attentive, reliable, and clearly very comfortable caring for an older dog. Knowing Gibson was in such good hands was a huge stress relief and allowed us to truly enjoy our vacation. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup. We would absolutely recommend Giulia and would not hesitate to use her services again.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Lower Sackville stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.
Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lower Sackville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
