“Mark, Evangeline and their family couldn't have done more to take care of our little dog. Their communication was wonderful and our dog was very happy in their care. I would highly recommend this family to look after your pet!”

“Victoria is a great communicator and kept us updated on how our Skipper was doing. She has a genuine deep love for animals which she readily shared with Skipper. Her two dogs are very friendly and accepting as well. They seemed to have welcomed Skipper into their pack. I would highly recommend Victoria.”

“We really appreciate Audrey and her expertise with dogs. Her experience shows with how she managed our hyperactive duck tolling retriever, Hudson. She is communicative, gives us plenty of video and photo updates on Hudson, and collaborates with us when it comes to necessary situations. She takes our dog out for lots of activities (fetch, swimming, exploring), plus she has 2 dogs of her own so our dog was never bored! We feel relieved knowing Hudson is in great hands and someone is caring for him while we’re away for our medical appointments. We highly recommend Audrey’s services!”

“Amanda was great to work with for scheduling and took excellent care of my dog (he immediately went to sleep when we got home, he was exhausted from playing!). I would definitely recommend using her!”

“Ben was absolutely fantastic and my dog Izzy had a wonderful stay cation with him. She was very cared for and came home in great form and sleepy from all of her adventures. Thankyou so much Ben!”

“Louie was the best sitter for my dog while I was away for work , Vasu stayed with louie for 3 days , he’s a little hard to handle boi , but I appreciate her patience and love for him, while trying to make every possible accommodation to suit Vasu’s needs . She did send us regular updates and was very responsive.”
“I can not recommend Shawna and her family enough! They are great communicators, very attentive and give so much love to my little pup! Zettie is always excited to see them, and I am at ease knowing she’s in such great hands 🥹”

“I can’t say enough about Kara. I know when I leave Maggie with her, not only is she (Maggie) cared for the same way I do, but I know she settles in very quickly. Thank you so much, Kara. When I go away, I don’t worry in the slightest about my fur baby.”

“Deanna felt like the right fit from the beginning. She has a genuine love for your fur baby. I never once worried and I know Milo won’t want to leave when we go to pick him up! Highly recommend Deanna.”

“Ryan was fantastic with our two big rescue dogs while we were on vacation for two weeks. They are usually very nervous around men and it normally takes them quite a few visits to warm up to someone new. They will usually bark at strangers, but Ryan won them over right away. They were happy and relaxed the whole time and very well taken care of. He was quick to respond whenever we wanted check-ins or updates, but he never overdid the messaging, which was perfect. They have even seen him once more since the initial boarding and the dogs were beyond excited to see him again. Total tail wags, pawing for attention, and going in for kisses. You could just see it on their faces. I guess he just has that special touch. He definitely leaves a lasting impression! One of the best sitters we have ever had. Highly recommend and would book him again in a heartbeat. 10/10!”

“Leaving our dog Harper is never easy, but this experience made it completely stress-free. From the very beginning, it was clear how caring, reliable, and attentive Marisa was. She went above and beyond to make sure Harper felt safe, happy, and loved, treating her like one of her own. I received regular updates, photos, and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was obvious Harper was having a wonderful time, and I could truly relax knowing she was in such capable hands. I couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter. Marisa’s kindness, professionalism, and genuine love for animals shine through in everything she does. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their furry family member. Thank you for making what is usually a difficult goodbye such an easy and reassuring experience—I will absolutely be booking with you again!”

“Rebecca took great care of Nash during his stay and was very flexible and accommodating for some of his extra needs following dental surgery. It is clear that Nash got lots of exercise and was well loved during his stay. We would highly recommend Rebecca and her family :)”

“Kelly was terrific with my dog Hippo. He stayed overnight for several days and she took excellent care of him. She was an excellent communicator. She took him on walks and adventures, above and beyond. She even took my pet sitting request on short notice when my original Rover sitter cancelled last minute. Finding her was our lucky day! Highly recommend Kelly (and Patrick).”

“10/10 - Jennifer and Craig were wonderful with my Boxer. They gave him constant love and attention and took him out for multiple walks out in the countryside. They sent me multiple pictures and updates throughout his stay to show me how much fun he was having with them and their own dogs. I will definitely look into having Jennifer and Craig look after my boy Baxter again in the future.”

“Jessica was great, she took time ahead of my trip to come for a meet and greet visit so that my cat Sophie wasn’t having someone she’d never seen before come in while I was away. She made the effort to win my shy Sophie over, gave her treats, chin rubs and even a brush on top of making sure her food and water was filled, litter checked and sending me updates/pictures from each visit. 100% will go to her again in future for when I have extended trips out of town.”

“Thank you so much! One of our cats is diabetic and we felt confident leaving them in Kristina’s care while we were away! She also went above and beyond with the cat litter situation!!”

“I found Heather as someone in close proximity to our house and was very impressed with her from our first messages She watched our 3 cats for 12 days. She was excellent. The cats loved her, including my cranky senior. Heather communicated with me daily and sent lots of pictures. She is an A+ pet sitter.”

“An excellent job. Alexandra took perfect care of my baby. Lots of pets, play time and pictures to prove it. Attention to detail means everything to me and Alexandra has it in spades. I'll be hiring her again no problem.”

“Lorri was great! She gave regular updates and photos. She did everything that was asked and even vacuumed up around the litter box area. I would definitely work with Lori again!”

“Claire did an awesome job of checking in on our cat over the weekend. She provided great updates and pictures. Would highly recommend Claire and would love to book her again!”

“We used Rover for the first time this past weekend, and were able to book Alaina at the last minute to look after our feline crew - and how lucky we were! Alaina was fantastic. She was kind, friendly and a breeze to communicate with, and took such great care of our cats. She sent lots of pictures during her drop-in visits, took care of the litter and gave our cats lots of love and attention. Even our very skittish cat came out and gave her kisses. We were very happy with Alaina and would recommend her to anyone looking for pet care.”

“Miranda is the best! We have a very elderly cat and typically when we go away for a few days, we have our neighbors check in on him. However, he demands a little bit more attention and love these days and because we were going away for a full week we thought it best to have one designated person to come in and tend to him. Miranda was absolutely the best choice! She gave us daily check ins and photos and took that worry completely off of our minds while we enjoyed our first sunny family vacation together. 10 out of 10 would recommend to all my friends and will definitely be booking her in the future!”

“Johanna took great care of my two cats! She took the time to play with them, get to know them, and look out for any signs of health issues. She sent me detailed reports and lots of pictures with every visit!”

She provided updates at each visit, and was able to administer medication to my older cat (who is not very amenable to the meds). Definitely gave us peace of mind that they were in good hands while we were away.”

“Everything was great. Leanne let us know when she arrived and sent pictures. She was able to accommodate a same day booking and was comfortable administering meds for our cat. House was exactly how we left it. Would request care from Leanne again!”

“We were very nervous about leaving our 11 week old puppy for the 1st time with a sitter. I am so happy that we found Sara, she was great with our pup, and we left there feeling very secure with our choice. She sent us an update picture and little note that Maddie had done her business had a drink and was having a great time finding sticks in her garden. Maddie was a happy puppy when we picked her up. I would not hesitate to book with Sara again.”

About: I have had dogs all my life. My last two dogs were rescues that moved three countries with me and were my world. I cared for them from puppies through their golden years. Experienced at dog walking and giving medication and a safe place for your pet to sleep. Have taken care of others dogs in my home while their owners are away as dogs deserve a vacation too, filled with walks in the park to play with other dogs, tail wags, and snuggles at home. From October I shall be working a hybrid job with 3 days in the office and two at home. Depending on the care you are looking for, your dog(s) will be walked in the morning and the evening and for those days I am working at home, there will be extra playtime midday. If you are looking for a long weekend away, I am happy to discuss shifting my schedule (given enough notice) to make sure that a long weekend away works for both you and your pet(s). I provide pet sitting/boarding within my home with meals and walks provided and a safe place for your dog to lay their head. If you are local, I am also happy to provide dog walking services.
“Cassandra was an amazing sitter and her dog Indy is so well behaved and friendly towards Cleo. I would highly recommend Cassandra to anyone looking for a fun dog to have as a friend to their fur baby.”

“Rocco seemed to have a great time. You can really tell Gina loves animals. We will definitely bring him by the next time we’re in town. Thanks so much for having him over.”

“Megan was great! My Wife and I went to our daughter's graduation at Del and needed someone to take care of our 8 month old Siberian Husky, Eva. We are from a long distance away and were worried about who we could trust with Eva. After careful consideration, we decided to ask Megan as she would take Eva in her home, she has a beautiful dog of her own, and she has a good area to take the dogs outdoors. All day long Megan kept us very well update (with pictures) on how Eva was doing. I would definitely recommend Megan to anyone who is looking for a sitter. Also, Megan's dog is awsome! I would offer to take her anytime if Megan needed a sitter if she was in our area. Thank you Megan”

About: My love for dogs goes well beyond my memory. I have had several dogs of my own and often cared for and walked dogs for neighbours, family and friends when they travel or while at work etc. I also frequently volunteered at a veterinary clinic for several years. I am a university student with predominantly asynchronous online classes and therefore I am able to devote a large portion of my time to caring for your pet. I have a good enough space for them to roam as well as a patio where they can hang and get some fresh air. I live within walking distance from two park which I am sure they will most definitely enjoy should you feel comfortable with that. I will also most definitely update you with picture and videos so you don’t miss them too much!
“We were visiting Nova Scotia from NE Ohio. We were staying in Amherst Shore but visiting the Halifax area and Peggy’s Cove for a day. We couldn’t leave the pup in the camper for that long but needed somewhere for him for a few hours while we went to the Maritime museum. Everything worked out perfectly from drop off to pick up. I felt very comfortable leaving him with Emily and he seemed very happy and comfortable when we picked him up. If we are ever back in the area would definitely consider leaving him with her again.”

About: I’ve loved animals from a young age and have hands-on experience caring for a variety of pets, including a puppy, several cats, and even fish both as a child and as an adult. This has helped me understand the different needs and behaviors of animals—from energetic dogs to independent cats and the consistency required for maintaining a healthy aquarium. What sets me apart is that I genuinely enjoy spending time with pets and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I’m patient with puppies and can help reinforce basic routines, and I’m equally comfortable with cats, respecting their space while still giving them attention and care. My experience with fish has also made me detail-oriented when it comes to feeding schedules, cleanliness, and maintaining a stable environment—skills that carry over into all types of pet care. I’m reliable, attentive, and committed to following each pet’s routine closely. I also keep owners updated so they have peace of mind knowing their pets are in good hands. I treat every pet like family and focus on creating a stress-free, happy environment for them. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and make it a priority in my schedule. I plan my day to ensure I have dedicated time for feeding, walks, playtime, and general care, so pets receive consistent attention and are never rushed. I’m comfortable incorporating morning and evening routines, as well as check-ins during the day if needed. Whether it’s taking dogs out for walks, spending time playing, or ensuring cats and other pets are fed and comfortable, I make sure their routine is followed closely. I treat pet care as an important and enjoyable part of my routine, not just an extra task. I provide a safe, calm, and pet-friendly environment in my home where pets can feel comfortable and well cared for. I make sure they have a dedicated space to rest, access to fresh water, and a consistent routine for feeding, playtime, and relaxation. I take time to understand each pet’s habits and preferences so I can follow their normal routine as closely as possible. For dogs, this includes regular walks, playtime, and attention. For cats, I ensure a quiet, comfortable space while also giving them interaction on their terms. I’m also experienced in caring for fish, maintaining feeding schedules and a clean, stable environment. Pets are always supervised, and I focus on creating a stress-free atmosphere where they feel safe and at ease. I keep the home clean and organized and provide updates to owners so they know their pets are happy and in good hands. Overall, I treat every pet like family and make sure they receive consistent care, attention, and comfort throughout their stay.
“Ben is so kind and accommodating! When he says in his profile that he loves dogs that is 100% true and accurate! Snoopy absolutely loved his visit and really loved the time he got to spend with new furry friends! Thank you Ben!”

About: I've owned and cared for dogs throughout my life, and am currently the proud owner of an 8-year-old beagle, Stella. She's very friendly with lots of friends and playmates, so our home is well adapted to four-legged visitors and guests :) I'm a freelance translator who works from home, with a flexible schedule and generally light workload, leaving me plenty of time to look after other dogs besides my own, including long walks and fun outings to the park. I have a great set-up to board dogs in my home: I live with my dog (8-y.o.) and cat (10-y.o.) in a bright, clean suite with a nice balcony in a very pet-friendly apartment complex in the North End of Halifax. There's a semi-private courtyard out front where dogs like to congregate and socialize, I'm in a very walkable neighborhood close to downtown, the Commons and the waterfront, and I have a safe, reliable car that I use to take my dog and others on fun outings to the park (Point Pleasant Park is a favorite destination). In addition, I'm certified in Pet First Aid by St. John Ambulance (Oct. 29, 2023 - certificate available for viewing in photos).
“Natalia was amazing with my dog, Robin, who takes a while to warm up and can be very nervous bc of her past. Natalia was communicative all day, and spoiled Robin, who looked so happy in the photos I received. She has a calm, intentional presence and I knew Robin was in good hands. I highly recommend her.”

“Greer was very sweet and took great care of Fluff. She provided us with many updates. I don't think Fluffy even knew we were gone. He made himself right at home lol. I would definitely book with Greer again. She was amazing and we were very grateful to have Fluff in such considerate hands.”

About: What sets me apart is the level of care, patience, and attention I give to every pet. I understand that each pet has a unique personality and routine, so I take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. As a Continuing Care Assistant (CCA), I have developed strong skills in providing compassionate care, paying close attention to individual needs, and staying calm in different situations. I bring that same level of responsibility and kindness to pet care. I'm comfortable caring for energetic dogs that need regular exercise, as well as senior pets who require a slower pace, extra patience, and close attention. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any special care routines provided by the owner. I also believe that communication is important. I'll provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is happy and well cared for. My goal is to treat every pet like a member of my own family and provide dependable, loving care you can trust. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I make time every day for walks, feeding, playtime, and giving pets the attention and affection they need. I understand that every pet has a unique schedule, so I follow each owner's instructions carefully to maintain their normal routine and help them feel comfortable. My weekly schedule is flexible, which allows me to accommodate morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend visits when needed. Whether it's daily walks, drop-in visits, or overnight care, I am committed to providing reliable, loving, and consistent care so pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for while their owners are away. Whether I'm caring for pets in my home or in a client's home, my priority is making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, including feeding schedules, exercise, medication (if needed), and any special instructions from the owner. In a client's home, I respect their space and do my best to keep the pet's routine as normal as possible. I provide plenty of attention, playtime, walks, fresh water, and companionship while keeping the home clean and secure. I also send regular updates and photos so owners can have peace of mind while they're away. If caring for pets in my home, I provide a clean, safe, and pet-friendly environment where they receive plenty of supervision, exercise, affection, and opportunities to rest. I treat every pet like a member of my own family and always strive to make their stay enjoyable and stress-free.

I am often not away from the house for more than 1 -2 hours at a time and I love spending time outdoors. While our backyards is not fully fenced, we do have a walkout deck and private grassy and wooded area for play and supervised breaks. About: I’ll care for your pet the same way I care for my own! Your dog or cat’s comfort, happiness and sense of security are always my top priority. I have tons of experience dealing with my own anxious pup - my goal is to make every moment a positive and stress-free experience. I also have my certificate in canine first-aid through Maritime Dog First-Aid Hiking Safety Course. I’m currently working full-time throughout the week at home. My schedule is flexible so I am able to dedicate lots of walk times for your pup! My weekends are spent outside exploring, or just relaxing at home. I have a fenced in yard that my own dog is obsessed with! I have a large crate if you prefer your dog be crated throughout their stay, but I’m open to doing whatever is best for you and your dogs peace of mind.
About: Not every dog loves the world around them—and that’s okay. I have a special interest in working with reactive, anxious, and fearful dogs. My own dog, Otis, has taught me just how much patience, understanding, and thoughtful handling can help dogs feel safer on walks. I understand how stressful it can be to trust someone else with a dog who needs extra support, and my goal is to provide calm, safe, low-stress walks where your dog can feel comfortable and successful. I am comfortable walking dogs who bark, lunge, need extra space, or find the outside world overwhelming. Every dog is an individual, so I tailor each walk to their needs—whether that means choosing quieter routes, giving plenty of distance from triggers, taking sniff breaks, or simply moving at a pace that keeps them regulated. My focus is on positive, calm handling, reading canine body language, and setting dogs up for success. If you're looking for someone who understands reactive dogs and can keep walks safe and low-stress, I’m happy to help. If you’re hoping to work toward calmer walks over time, we can talk about your goals and whether that’s something I can support. I work full time at a vet clinic as a Veterinary Assistant, I am available in the mornings and evenings to do drop in visits - and am able to offer dog walking a few days per week. My house has a lot of structure, and low stress vibe. Balanced energy and clear expectations help a dog to be at peace and help with anxiety and insecurities. Depending on the animals needs I try to find enriching activities that will offer the highest reward, my pup loves to sniff so we do scent work and food scattering in the back yard.
About: We had several dogs when I was growing up. I fostered a dog for about six months a couple years ago - I can’t have a dog in my place but I love playing and snuggling with them! I will work with the guidance and guidelines of the client’s - I am communicative and understand that the pet’s caregiver knows the pet’s needs!

I am familiar and comfortable with a variety of large breed dogs, including those I've lived with: Aussie, German/Husky mixes, Komondor, Great Pyrs and female am staffs. I am currently raising and training my own puppy, Pretzel. We have attended several professional training courses together and his training is going very well. At these sessions I was also introduced to first aid measures for dogs, which I hope to never need but I am glad to know. I have a home in Sackville with a very large, fenced yard and am looking for clients in my area. I also like to make healthy dog food toppers and treats in my spare time! I have taken some time off from my full-time job to enjoy my new home and spend more time with Pretzel. I ran a restaurant for five years alongside my mum, and am now savouring some me-time. My schedule is very flexible. I will follow all instructions given for drop-in visits and walks. I would like to get to know your dog and become familiar with his/her environment, and ensure that your animal feels comfortable with me

“Beautiful people and home. They took great care of my elderly dog and sent me many updates. I am very grateful. Darby seemed very happy and healthy upon his return home. Thank you very much.”

“Ben was absolutely fantastic and my dog Izzy had a wonderful stay cation with him. She was very cared for and came home in great form and sleepy from all of her adventures. Thankyou so much Ben!”

“Milissa and family are wonderful caregivers. She sent me pictures and updates everyday of when we were away so I was never worried about Ollie. We really appreciate the great care they give:)!”

“Megan is the best! Our big dog George has an amazing time there with their dog, Sunny. We’ve had multiple stays now and it’s always a good experience, we get lots of photos and we feel like they love George like their own!”

“Margaret took great care of my bulldog Frank. She provided constant updates on Frank a d gave him plenty of exercise and attention. Would 1000% rebooked with her.”

“Claire is great with our older rescue dog. They’ve become fast friends and he loves spending time at her place while we’re away. She’s super responsive and attentive to his needs. Definitely a go-to pet sitter and pal for us, will definitely be hitting her up again!”

“Colin was an absolute dream! Extremely personable and accommodating of all of our dog’s needs. He was very committed and engaged to providing great care for Pickles with daily activities. Thanks Colin!!!”

“Trish is the best sitter we've ever had! We boarded Krypto for 3 days which became 4 due to unforeseen circumstances and Trish was lovely about everything. She treated Krypto like family and is our goto now. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend her services”
