About: I grew up on a farm so I have been taking care of animals of all shapes and sizes since I was small. We have always had dogs and cats around the house and the farm and we learned the importance for caring for and loving animals. I have always been the go-to pet sitter for my friends and neighbours. About: I've had cats most of my life, until a few years ago. We had two Maincoons that were loved more than anything in the world. They were brother and sister, each had their own uniquely wonderful personality but both were extremely loving and when we lost them (first the boy, then his sister some years later), it was devastating. Because we were so attached it was so very painful when we lost them, that I haven't been able to get another cat since. We have a neighborhood cat that comes around for treats and chin rubs, so that's nice. When I was young, my parents indulged me...We lived in the country and I remember at one point having 10 cats at once...Yikes! But pretty sure my parents enjoyed them just as much as I did. Anyway, I thought this type of service would be a good fit because I have a lot of love an affection to give any kitty out there.

“We were visiting Nova Scotia from NE Ohio. We were staying in Amherst Shore but visiting the Halifax area and Peggy’s Cove for a day. We couldn’t leave the pup in the camper for that long but needed somewhere for him for a few hours while we went to the Maritime museum. Everything worked out perfectly from drop off to pick up. I felt very comfortable leaving him with Emily and he seemed very happy and comfortable when we picked him up. If we are ever back in the area would definitely consider leaving him with her again.”

About: We've recently had to say goodbye to our adored 16 year old Miniature Dachshund and our family of four is seeking to share our home and love with other dogs. I am available to care for your dog during the day as I am not working and our two older children are in school. About: I've had loads of pet experience over the years, from early childhood to present day. I grew up in a rural setting where there were always animals around...farm animals such as chickens, pigs and turkeys. As for house pets, I've had MANY...several dogs over the years, too many cats to count, rabbits and hamsters. In my younger years I had a Poodle, a Samoyed, a Beagle and Cocker Spaniel. As for cats, well...let's just say our family was crazy for cats...I remember at one point in my youth, I had 10 at once! Later in life my husband and I had two Maincoons (Missy and Buster) who were literally the loves of our lives. We still miss them terribly and always think about them. In my 20s I worked at a pet store, where I also took care of the animals there (cats, dogs, hamsters, birds and fish). In my 30s I worked as a dog walker, which was very rewarding and so, so much fun. I would walk and care for three to six on any given day. I would pick them all up at each of their homes, each taking their preferred seat in my Jeep (the smallest one always insisting she sit in the front seat) and head out on our adventures for the day! These days I have several dogs in my orbit that belong to family members and friends. We have one in particular that we care for in our home periodically for our friends...Gordon the golden doodle, a.k.a. our nephew. All that being said I feel that I have a lot of experience and love to offer your fur babies, along with an endless supply of hugs, snuggles and kisses! Halifax is my permanent home but commute out of province for work. I am home for roughly half of the month, days vary but on average I'm home anywhere from 13-18 days a month and usually anywhere from 6-13 days at a time. I do get my schedule one month in advance on the 25th of each month, at which point I would update my calendar. I currently care for a friends dog periodically when they are away for a few days or sometimes longer. He has the run of the house, not crated and sleeps with us...not spoiled at all. We of course take him on walks and have play time...all the time.

About: I have owned pets my whole life including cats, dogs, small animals, reptiles, birds, you name it! My pet soulmate (my cat Patches), passed away Halloween 2023 after 16 long and love-filled years and I don't know if I will ever have my own animals again. However, my passion for animals (especially cats) is still strong and it would be a treat to hang out with and care for some fur babies! About: I am very well equipped to get the job done. I have had animals ever since I was a kid. I’ve taken care of dogs from small to large,from shit zus to German sheppards! No dog scares me and there isn’t a breed I haven’t worked with. I also have experience with cats, dogs, hamsters , fish, bunnies , chickens, ducks. I sadly do not do houses with reptiles. I am a part time nurse and full time animal lover. I’m good with bathing , walking , nail grooming , play time and anything else your pet may need. I’m currently working full time as a nurse but my schedule has some flexibility as I get some weekdays off, and most evenings and weekends are available! I am very experienced with escape artists and able to control those animals that like to test the limits !
About: I have been around animals my entire life, my family has always had many pets and a lot of dogs. I currently have two cats but would get a dog in a heart beat if I could ! I work part-time but not a lot of hours a week which means I could have lots of time to watch and walk animals, I am free most mornings/afternoons! About: I’ve grown up around many kinds of pets and animals and have had the pleasure of looking after them all. These include but are not limited to dogs, cats, bunnies, guinea pigs, hamsters, chickens, ducks, and geese. Growing up like this gave me the opportunity to raise my own litter of bunnies and watch them grow up. I’ve also been hatching ducklings and chicks for a few years now and I get to help them grow. About: I’ve had dogs all my life growing up and most recently been a cat mom over the last 5 years, currently have one cat but used to have 3!! I work casually as a registered nurse and have a very inconsistent schedule of shifts and would love to help take of some adorable pets on my days off! About: I grew up on a farm so I have been taking care of animals of all shapes and sizes since I was small. We have always had dogs and cats around the house and the farm and we learned the importance for caring for and loving animals. I have always been the go-to pet sitter for my friends and neighbours. More recently, I have taken care of a whole litter of puppies while my friend was away on vacation.
