“Tara and Jason and their dog Stark were great looking after Wally. They sent lots of updates with pictures and videos. Wally got lots of walks, trips to the dog park and tummy rubs. Highly recommend them for pet sitting!”

“Mark & Evangeline were awesome with Zimba. They took very good care of him for the 2 weeks that we were away, and made him a part of their family. They sent us daily updates with pictures and short videos. They gave Zimba his medication in a timely manner, and followed his regular routine. When we picked him up we noticed that he was happy and well taken care of. Mark & Evangeline are the best sitters we have had so far and I would highly recommend them. I will definitely keep Zimba with them in the future. Thank you Mark & Evangeline! 🥰”

“Jennifer was Fab! We had an incredible experience with Jennifer as our dog sitter. Her home was warm and welcoming. We knew Ella was loved and cared for, and Jennifer did a fabulous job. We couldn’t be happier!”

“Tigmi had a great time with Audrey. 5-star review all the way. Tigmi had a great time with her dogs and Audrey kept me abreast of all the fun the pooches were having. Thanks Audrey, much appreciated.”

“Deanna is great!! Ellie had a wonderful time and even though this was Ellie’s first time with a sitter, we knew Deanna was right for us as soon as we met her 💕”

“Shawna and Chris accommodated our last minute need for dog care. Their entire family met us at drop off and interacted with our pup and we could tell they were very warm and caring. They kept us well updated through the night. Would recommend them highly.”

“Ben was an incredible dog sitter to our little girl, Hali. He sent us ample amount of photos throughout the stay and told us everything that they were doing. We didn’t have to worry about her at all and could enjoy our night knowing our baby was taken good care of.”

“Margaret is amazing! She was able to pet sit our dog and cat on short notice. She is extremely polite and easy to deal with. Good communication, she sent lots of photos and updates. “Louie was the best sitter for my dog while I was away for work , Vasu stayed with louie for 3 days , he’s a little hard to handle boi , but I appreciate her patience and love for him, while trying to make every possible accommodation to suit Vasu’s needs . She did send us regular updates and was very responsive.”
“Milissa and family are wonderful caregivers. She sent me pictures and updates everyday of when we were away so I was never worried about Ollie. We really appreciate the great care they give:)!”

“Megan was absolutely amazing with Maeve. We had only adopted Maeve a few weeks before leaving for a 10-day trip, so we were a little nervous, but Megan put our minds at ease immediately. Maeve and Megan’s dog Sunny became best friends and spent 10 days playing, walking, and having adventures together. Megan sent detailed daily updates with tons of photos, taught Maeve new tricks, and was incredibly communicative throughout our trip. When Maeve had a minor foot injury, Megan handled it perfectly, kept us informed every step of the way, and made sure Maeve was well cared for. It was obvious Maeve was loved like one of her own dogs. We came home to a happy, tired pup and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’d book with Megan again in a heartbeat.”

“Rebecca took great care of Nash during his stay and was very flexible and accommodating for some of his extra needs following dental surgery. It is clear that Nash got lots of exercise and was well loved during his stay. We would highly recommend Rebecca and her family :)”

“Marisa watched Ellie for me very last minute over night. I was nervous about leaving Ellie but Marisa made Ellie and I feel very comfortable. Ellie was very happy and looked really content in the lovely photo’s and updates Marisa provided while Ellie was in her care. When I picked Ellie up she was very happy and grounded. Your pup will enjoy their stay at this loving, kind home and you will have a feeling of confidence when you drop your pup off and meet Marisa. I will use Marisa again without hesitation and I would recommend Marisa 110%.”

“Trish did an absolutely wonderful job looking after my senior dog. She was great at sending me daily pictures and updates. She was able to give all the medications with out issues and my dog got along with hers so well. I would 10 out of 10 recommend her for sitting and would use her again.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Lower Sackville
This was our first time using Rover and I have to say like any care situation I was nervous leaving my two dogs (11years and 18 months) with a “stranger”. They too were nervous and wanted to leave with us at drop off. Well I had no need to worry— not only did Gina’s kindness and loving manner towards both pups put me at immediate ease—she was amazing at keeping us updated on how they settled in and playing with her own dogs. We were away for three days for our son’s wedding and her updates and photos really eased my mind and gave me quite the chuckle seeing my older dog cuddled snoozing with her dog. She was AMAZING and we would not only highly recommend we hope to book again in the fall for another weekend.

David and Emma were fantastic with our dog, Stanley. He has quite a few quirky routines and specific needs, and they took excellent care of him and followed everything perfectly. They truly went above and beyond to make sure he was happy and well cared for. I wouldn’t hesitate to have them look after Stanley again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
