“Trish is the best sitter we've ever had! We boarded Krypto for 3 days which became 4 due to unforeseen circumstances and Trish was lovely about everything. She treated Krypto like family and is our goto now. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend her services”

“Ben is a true animal lover and he was great with my Finn! I received lots of pictures of him wagging his tail and I really felt Ben made his home Finn’s home. Will definitely book again!”

“Ryan was fantastic with our two big rescue dogs while we were on vacation for two weeks. They are usually very nervous around men and it normally takes them quite a few visits to warm up to someone new. They will usually bark at strangers, but Ryan won them over right away. They were happy and relaxed the whole time and very well taken care of. He was quick to respond whenever we wanted check-ins or updates, but he never overdid the messaging, which was perfect. They have even seen him once more since the initial boarding and the dogs were beyond excited to see him again. Total tail wags, pawing for attention, and going in for kisses. You could just see it on their faces. I guess he just has that special touch. He definitely leaves a lasting impression! One of the best sitters we have ever had. Highly recommend and would book him again in a heartbeat. 10/10!”

“A really great stay for my boy! I got lots of pictures and updates throughout his visit. They were also extremely accommodating when we needed to add additional nights to our stay. Would recommend highly to friends, family and to anyone who is looking for a great place for their fur babies. Truly a home away from home.”

“Tara and Jason and their dog Stark were great looking after Wally. They sent lots of updates with pictures and videos. Wally got lots of walks, trips to the dog park and tummy rubs. Highly recommend them for pet sitting!”

“Greer was amazing with our dog and us. Received multiple updates and pictures during our pets 2 night stay. She was very responsive and accommodating on short notice! Highly recommend!”

“Absolutely wonderful !! I worked our of town for a week and left my dog with Kelly. She took great care of my dog with walking feeding and playing . She sent a couple pictures and was very easy to communicate with. No issues at all and if i have another trip out of town She will be first on my list to take care of my pooch ! If I could give 10 stars and 2 thumbs up I would”

“Emily and her family were just phenomenal! A true love for dogs and animals in general was very apparent! Our pup loved her stay and we were so relieved knowing she is in the best hands. Getting pics and updates throughout the stay was amazing and the whole experience just perfect! Definitely coming back.”

“Marisa and Danny were a one and done meetup for us. We knew instantly, as did our dog, that they were going to be great companions. They helped us navigate all the options for caring at our home and theirs - and they were very understanding and flexible with all our requests and needs. We're happy to call them our extended family and plan on future bookings with them. Highly recommend!”

Exceptional Dog Sitter! I couldn't be happier with the care my dog received. From day one, Lou was incredibly attentive and proactive, providing regular updates, photos, and messages that gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that my dog was being treated with genuine care and affection. I especially appreciated that she took my dog on two walks every day, ensuring plenty of exercise, stimulation, and routine. The consistent communication and dedication made all the difference, and I could tell my dog was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I highly recommend Lou to anyone looking for a trustworthy, reliable, and caring person to look after their pet. I'll definitely be booking with her again! 🐾❤️

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We left Chikoo with them for a few days while we were in Toronto, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. ❤️🐶 Chikoo came back happy, relaxed, and exactly like himself—we didn’t notice any changes in his behavior, which told us he truly felt at home. 🏡 They took great care of him and followed all the instructions we gave. They were incredibly cooperative, kind, and treated Chikoo like he was part of their own family. 🥰 We ended up extending his stay by a couple more days, and they were more than happy to keep him. They even went above and beyond by going to the store to buy his pee pads and food when they ran out. 🙏🛍️ We’re so grateful for the love and care they gave Chikoo. ❤️ I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter for their furry family member! 🐾

They all took wonderful care of Wellington. He tends to be an anxious dog, but they were patient with him, and he was able to settle and warm up to them. He also was scared of stairs, but again, they were patient, and by the end of the weekend, he was going up and down the stairs without any issue. I would not hesitate to book in with them again!! Thank you so much!

Evan was fantastic! We needed someone to watch our dog, Kimchi, on very short notice, and he was incredibly accommodating. He was super responsive throughout the entire process and kept us updated with photos, which gave us great peace of mind. Kimchi looked so calm and comfortable with him, and it was clear she was having a great time. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely book with Evan again. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
