I've owned and cared for dogs throughout my life, and am currently the proud owner of an 8-year-old beagle, Stella. She's very friendly with lots of friends and playmates, so our home is well adapted to four-legged visitors and guests :)

Trish has watched my Pug/ Jack Russel “ Edgar “ many times now and I feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful trustworthy person to leave him with! Trish updates me throughout the day with photos and info about how the day is going. Edgar absolutely loves hanging out with her dog Stella to the point when it’s time for me to take Edgar home he whines pulling back towards Trish and Stella ! Couldn’t ask for better care. Thanks 😊💕

Trish is the best sitter we've ever had! We boarded Krypto for 3 days which became 4 due to unforeseen circumstances and Trish was lovely about everything. She treated Krypto like family and is our goto now. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend her services

Very friendly and super responsive! Took great care of Luna while we were away, made sure she exercised, ate well and played! Kept us at ease while away.

Schedule
I'm a freelance translator who works from home, with a flexible schedule and generally light workload, leaving me plenty of time to look after other dogs besides my own, including long walks and fun outings to the park.

I have a great set-up to board dogs in my home: I live with my dog (8-y.o.) and cat (10-y.o.) in a bright, clean suite with a nice balcony in a very pet-friendly apartment complex in the North End of Halifax. There's a semi-private courtyard out front where dogs like to congregate and socialize, I'm in a very walkable neighborhood close to downtown, the Commons and the waterfront, and I have a safe, reliable car that I use to take my dog and others on fun outings to the park (Point Pleasant Park is a favorite destination). In addition, I'm certified in Pet First Aid by St. John Ambulance (Oct. 29, 2023 - certificate available for viewing in photos).

A typical day
When looking after Stella and any other dogs in my care, I like to make the most of the weather conditions. In practice, this means getting out to enjoy long walks in the park (Point Pleasant, Seaview, Hemlock Ravine are favorites) on good weather days and trips to the beach on those hot summer ones. When it's rainy, there's still plenty of fun to be had at home playing the games and activities that the dogs seem to be gravitating towards, based on their mood and energy level.
