About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I had a greyhound 🐕and a Siamese/Himalayan mix 🐈 who lived to 14½ and 17 years old. After saying goodbye to my two senior pets in 2025, I joined Rover to share my time and care with other people’s beloved pets. Since joining Rover, I’ve enjoyed building relationships with both pets and their owners. I know how important it is to provide reliable care, clear communication and regular updates, so you can feel confident your pet is in good hands. I’m experienced with senior animals and pets with special needs. I’ve cared for pets with mobility issues, administered oral medications, applied ointments and handled daily routines with gentleness and patience. I’ve also walked and cared for dogs of all sizes and temperaments, including Golden Retrievers, Border Collies and AmStaffs, so I’m comfortable adapting to different personalities and energy levels. In addition to dogs and cats, I also ride and care for horses. Working with a 1,000-pound animal has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, clear communication and building trust—qualities I bring to every pet I care for. If you’re currently working on training, I’m happy to support your efforts by reinforcing your dog’s routine using positive, reward-based methods. I believe in treating every pet with kindness, patience and encouragement. I work in communications and marketing. With a hybrid work environment, I have the flexibility to support your pet’s needs. I’m dependable, communicative and committed to making sure both you and your pet feel supported. For returning clients I can sometimes accommodate last minute requests. Happy to offer meet & greet at your home (if it’s for drop-in service), parks and public spaces to ensure you and your pet are comfortable with me.
“Wren is wonderful. Lola, our dog connected with her immediately. One can tell Wren loves animals. Wren is great with communicating with me about Lola’s walks and our dog walking schedule. This is the first time I’ve used this app to find a dog walker. I highly recommend this app and very much Wren.”

“My dog loves Erica so much. He actually smiles like the joker face in all the pics. He rolls on his back, belly up smiling ear to ear in the fields and fluffy powdery snow of the year. I wish he smiled this much for our walks. This tells me that he has a special bond and each morning before I leave for work I say her name and he knows today is going to be the best.”

“We had a great first visit with Ross, and he is the perfect person for this type of work. Not everyone has the calm demeanour needed to handle a 65 lb excitable and happy dog with so much energy and power, but Ross managed it effortlessly.”

“Cassie was great with my 11 year old Golden Retriever! She was very flexible with schedule and very reliable. Cooper absolutely loved her and was so happy to see her every visit. Would definitely recommend :)”

“Ronan seems to really taken to Michelle and she does a great job I’m looking after him before during and after the walk. I do recommend Michelle to others and we will continue to use her in the future.”

“Miranda has been fantastic! Our dog loved his walks with her. You can tell she really loves animals and we are very happy with the service she provides. It great knowing he’s well taken care of while we are at work.😊”

“Courtney wad great with our still in training pup. She gave us feedback after each watch and our pup was excited to see her when Courtney returned for each subsequent walks. We will definitely be availing of Courtney's services in the future!”

About: I’ve been responsible for my dog (Gracie’s) wellbeing since I was 10, so I’m familiar with all stages—from puppy to senior and all ages in between. Before I got Grace, my family dog-sat for neighborhood dogs—teaching me early how to handle different breeds, temperaments, and needs. I just completed my undergraduate degree, formally graduating in the Spring, and I will be moving back to Ontario in September. While in Halifax for the duration of the summer, I’m working part-time so my schedule is quite open. My dog lives with my parent’s in Ontario (I miss her dearly), and I would love to fill my summer walking, playing, and caring for your pet! I care for your pet(s) as my own—ensuring they are safe, comfortable and happy. I will carefully follow any instructions you provide and make my presence feel as welcome and seamless as possible for your pet(s).
About: I have grown up with dogs my entire life of all sizes from a pug to currently having a German Sheppard. Currently employed at doggy daycare in Halifax. I am currently doing my masters and working part time but am someone who loves pets and spending my time walking on a daily basis As someone who has grown up with dogs and pets my entire life I am very comfortable with providing care for pets! I also currently work at a doggy daycare which has provided me with great experience!
About: I treat every animal like they're my own. From the age of 6, I have always been in a multi-dog household. As a child, I quickly learned the duties of taking care of an animal. As an adult, I have owned 3 dogs at once - I currently have 2 dogs, 2 cats. I have experience taking care of fish and small pets as well. I have supported dogs recovering from surgery and can provide basic aid. I have volunteered with animal shelters previously. I also have taken care of family and friends' animals while they are away before. I provide loving pet care from someone who gets it - because I'm a pet parent too. I am self-employed and therefore my schedule can be flexible. I'm looking to add to my days and make some new fur friends. I can work around what you are looking for. Due to the nature of my other job, I am professional and respectful when it comes to someone's home. I provide the same care to your animal as I would to my own fur family.

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals all my life and I love them all! I am up to any task or challenge and I am very flexible. I’m a runner, so I’d love to have some company on my runs and a pup is a perfect fit :) I am currently a student at SMU, and a summer camp leader by day when school is out! Up until summer I have a lot of availability and would love to meet you and your pets! I am very good at following directions and instructions. Any rules or guidelines given to me by an owner will be strictly followed. Safety and care is my biggest priority.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Dartmouth
There are only positive things to be said for Dana. She’s so consistent, there is never an issue. She told me over a month in advance when she’d be out of town for a few days, she’s great with my reactive dog, and she’s lovely to deal with. I recommend her whole heartedly.

I couldn’t be happier with the care my dog received! Jillian was reliable, communicative, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. I received updates and photos after each walk, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. My dog came home happy, tired, and excited to see her again each visit. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a dependable and caring dog walker!

Rhea is responsible and my dog likes her very much and goes off with her happily. Rhea is exceptional in that she does not count the minutes and seconds of her time with the dog and if my dog is not quite ready to come back in, she will accomodate. I recommend her without any qualms whatsoever.
Libby was a joy to coordinate with for dog-walking! She was on time and highly communicative, and was patient when Caid had moments of reluctance in leaving the house. He came back nice and tired out from a good walk, and it seems like they developed a great bond. I highly recommend Libby's services :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Dartmouth choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
