About: From my first family cat at age 3, to the German Shepherd I rescued and I trained to win two 4-H County Obediance Championships, to the two wonderful cats my kids and I adopted from the SPCA, I've spent my whole life loving and caring for cats and dogs, and I look forward to caring for and loving yours:) As a full-time high school Music and English teacher, I'm currently available late afternoons, evenings and weekends. But in the summer, I will have much more availability. My teenagers are old enough to stay home on their own, so short-term house sitting and overnight pet care are also possible for me. I'm not able to care for pets in my home, as I have two cats that may not appreciate animal vistors. However, I can visit your home, and possibly stay overnight short term.
About: Ive grown up caring for animals my entire life: dogs, cats, and chickens! What makes me a great sitter is that I genuinely love animals and my goal is to make them feel as comfortable and happy as possible. I am also an active person so your dog will always come home well-exercised after a walk with me! I work part time and can be pretty accommodating with your schedule. Mornings, afternoons or evenings - I am sure we can make something work :) In my home, my cats are my family and are treated as such. I make it a priority to play with them everyday and make sure that they have toys available to help stimulate them. In your home, I will prioritize yours and your pets boundaries by following all given instructions carefully and I will always be a transparent and timely communicator.

This is the first time I’ve used this app to find a dog walker. I highly recommend this app and very much Wren.”

About: I was the neighborhoods go to dog sitter growing up. Ive taken care of everything from rowdy Rottweilers to bitey chihuahuas and they are all beautiful creatures in my eyes. Im organized, structured, and communicative, so im dedicated to ensuring you are informed about your pets so you can enjoy your time away. I work part time currently, which leaves me with three to four days and nights each week to dedicate to your fuzzy companions. Im also very communicative and timely, so you'll never have to worry about being left in the dark regarding your pets wellbeing. I treat all pets and animals as if they were my own. One of my best characteristics is my patience and attentiveness with animals. Im also non judgemental and happy to care for pets with behaviors or higher needs.
About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I recently said goodbye to my two senior pets, my sweet greyhound and my talkative Siamese/Himalayan mix, who lived to 14.5 and 17. After years of loving and caring for them, I find myself missing the daily rhythm of walks, meals and quiet cuddle time. That’s why I’ve joined Rover: to share my time and care with other people’s beloved pets. I’m experienced with senior animals and pets with special needs. I’ve helped with mobility issues, administered oral medications, applied ointments, and handled daily routines with gentleness and patience. I’ve also walked and cared for dogs of all sizes and temperaments including golden retrievers, border collies and amstaffs. So I’m comfortable adjusting to different personalities and energy levels. Along with my personal experience, I’ve also provided pet sitting and drop-in visits for friends and family over the years, caring for both dogs and cats of all ages. If you’re currently working on training, I’m happy to help support your efforts by providing consistent, positive reinforcement during our time together. I believe in treating every pet with kindness, patience, and encouragement. I work in communications and marketing. With a hybrid work environment, I have the flexibility to support your pet’s needs. I’m dependable, communicative, and committed to making sure both you and your pet feel supported. Happy to offer meet & greet at your home (if it’s for drop-in service), parks and public spaces to ensure you and your pet are comfortable with me.
“Emily was great walking Austin for a couple of evenings when we were tied up. She was quick to respond to our last minute request. She was very punctual and Austin had great walks with her. Thanks Emily!”

“Erica has been exceptional with our dog & now helping us out while we adjust to having a new puppy in the family. She is very reliable which helps ease our worries while we are working. I look forward to getting off work & seeing all the pics of our dogs getting along and lots of smiles when Erica walks in on their furry faces. Thank you for all your help we really appreciate you.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and starting dog-walking for neighbours at a young age. Frequently entrusted to dog-sit for friends and family. Currently I own one cat. Currently I am available both AM and PM on weekdays and weekends. Right now I am working part-time remotely so my schedule is quite flexible! I live near a park that is great for daily walks with dogs. It has an off-leash area if that is allowed for the dog.
About: Hi! I'm Dakota. Born in Moncton, NB, grew up In Sackville. I am a red seal chef, trained in P.E.I at the Culinary Institute of Canada. I now live downtown Halifax working for Obladee wine bar. I've owned pets my whole life, as well as taking care of familly pets. I've also worked for UPS and having to de-escalate agitated dogs was a daily occurrence. I am available mon-friday anytime after 3pm. And all day on weekends. Ive just moved to Halifax and most of the time have a wide open schedule. Not doing this for money but for the love of the game. No dogs allowed in my appartment building sadly. My 2 cats litter boxes are cleaned twice a day. Fed every morning and evening like clockwork. They have a water dish in almost every room of the house. I realize how habitual animals can be and will follow any intructions to the letter.
“Jaime was great with walking my dog! She answered promptly, was great at communicating including letting me know when she picked up her and feedback on the walk itself. Will be hiring her again!”

About: I grew up with a lot of animals. I feel happy spending time with them and they are indispensable to me. and I love animals! I'm finishing school so I can spend more time with pets. The job is part-time so it's very flexible and pet sitting fits into my lifestyle. We have a fenced yard where they can play outside in safety, and we have an old golden retriever who is very friendly and affectionate
About: We are three students at Dalhousie University originating from Toronto. We have been feeling like our home has been lacking some puppy energy and have been looking forward to hosting some for friends! We have experience with both puppies and anxious dogs and with only one dog in our care at a time we are ready to give your pup our full attention. We are full-time students, however, our schedules allow one of us to be home for most of the day. The house is never left empty for more than four hours. Pet care is our top priority and while at our home we look forward to giving your pet many cuddles (if they are a cuddler) and as much support and care as they require and could want!
Dartmouth dog parents share their Rover experiences
Rhea is responsible and my dog likes her very much and goes off with her happily. Rhea is exceptional in that she does not count the minutes and seconds of her time with the dog and if my dog is not quite ready to come back in, she will accomodate. I recommend her without any qualms whatsoever.
Libby was a joy to coordinate with for dog-walking! She was on time and highly communicative, and was patient when Caid had moments of reluctance in leaving the house. He came back nice and tired out from a good walk, and it seems like they developed a great bond. I highly recommend Libby's services :)

Wren is wonderful. Lola, our dog connected with her immediately. One can tell Wren loves animals. Wren is great with communicating with me about Lola’s walks and our dog walking schedule. This is the first time I’ve used this app to find a dog walker. I highly recommend this app and very much Wren.

Erica walked my Portuguese Water Dog, Tahoe, twice a day for seven days, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the very beginning, she was punctual and professional, always arriving right on time. She took lots of pictures during each walk, which gave me peace of mind and let me see how Tahoe was doing. Erica was also very easy to get in contact with and always responded in a timely manner whenever I had a question. Tahoe was initially shy when she first met Erica, but Erica’s calm, kind nature quickly helped her feel comfortable. Over the course of the week, Tahoe learned to trust her, and by the end, it was clear she looked forward to her walks. Erica is skilled, reliable, and truly dog friendly. I would absolutely trust Erica again to care for and walk my dog.
