Chris is also very active and loves to take the dogs out to trails for walks. Even in bad weather, he doesn't let the rain or snow stop him. Chris is very patient, responsible and caring and I highly recommend him as a caregiver for your dog!”

About: My passion is taking care of animals, loving them and making sure they are happy. I love any animal and they always have my heart. I helped my family and friends to look after their dogs and cats. They always come back to me as I’m very responsible and trustworthy in taking care of their pets. I’m working from home and flexible in work on weekdays so I can play with your cats, check on them and also give them medicine whenever they need. I have separated rooms to keep the other cat and your cats apart while they’re staying with me. I’ll be there to watch them and make sure they are happy and with everything they need.

“Jenna came to stay with my two cats while I was away on vacation last year. They are a bit high stress and have health issues, but the week went amazingly well with Jenna, and when I got home, they seemed completely normal and happy (and my house was cleaner than when I'd left!). Jenna is kind and gentle, and they seemed to sense her good energy and took to her immediately. She has great communication, and it was very reassuring to get little updates and pics from her regularly. I would highly recommend her to do any pet-sitting/feeding, and I will definitely be using her again! She is a gem!”

“Ava adores animals and has been lucky enough to have had pets for over 70% of her life. Her two Persian cats, Lola & Roxy, came first and then we added our Bernedoodle, Hugo, to the mix 7 years ago. Lola is still with us and Ava is definitely her "chosen" one still to this day, 15 years later. Hugo adores his "Ava time". His favourite thing is for Ava to make a bed with her legs on the floor into which he curls up and happily sleeps. She has a compassion and love for the animals that they seem to understand and gravitate towards. She is always their safe harbour but she is not a pushover. She attended all the puppy training classes in order to be able to use proper, consistent, commands with Hugo to keep him safe and teach him to walk on leash, ride in the car, and greet new people and dogs safely. The animals miss her terribly when she is in Halifax but Haligonians will benefit from her fabulous pet sitting skills!”

About: I've taken care of three different types of medium and large dogs in my family as I've grown up. One was a German shepherd/husky mix, another was a terrier/Shih Tzu mix, and my current dog is a black Labrador retriever. I have come to understand just how much of a responsibility comes with being a dog owner ever since I was little, so I know it's not always just a walk in the park (pun intended). I am experienced with both senior dogs and puppies, and am extremely attentive in order to cater to their needs. Safety is always a priority to me as well as properly maintained communication between myself and any client/employer. I am available any day, as long as I am given at least a day's notice in advance. I am also a part-time online student during the spring semester, so I have a fairly flexible schedule for pet care. I always make sure my own dog has access to water and feed him on schedule everyday (getting up early is not an issue). I make sure to pay attention to whenever he needs to be let outside to do his business or if he needs to get some energy out. His exercise is also a priority whether that be walking, running, or playing fetch in a field. While on walks, I keep him on-leash unless in an enclosed public field for dogs and I carry poop bags with me at all times when I take my dog anywhere.
