Natalia was amazing with my dog, Robin, who takes a while to warm up and can be very nervous bc of her past. Natalia was communicative all day, and spoiled Robin, who looked so happy in the photos I received. She has a calm, intentional presence and I knew Robin was in good hands. I highly recommend her.

Gail looked after our puppy Ernie during the day for a month and it went exceptionally well. Ernie was so well looked after, taken on walks, taken to the park and given lots of love. Her daily report cards were detailed and greatly appreciated. I can't thank Gail enough, she took incredible care of our little guy. I would highly recommend her, I know I will be booking her again anytime I need some doggy daycare!

About: We've recently had to say goodbye to our adored 16 year old Miniature Dachshund and our family of four is seeking to share our home and love with other dogs. I am available to care for your dog during the day as I am not working and our two older children are in school. I am often not away from the house for more than 1 -2 hours at a time and I love spending time outdoors. We live in a pet friendly neighbourhood with sidewalks and easy access to both paved and wooded paths near the lake for lots of walks. While our backyards is not fully fenced, we do have a walkout deck and private grassy and wooded area for play and supervised breaks. We have experience with dogs of all ages, including puppies and senior dogs. I would be excited to learn more about your pet and can tailor my care for their unique needs. I am available 24/7 to care for your pet. I can provide undivided attention to your pup during the day and we can offer lots of attention and play given all family members are dog lovers. Typically, someone is always home and if not, we're only away for 1-2 hours at a time. Your pet will have access to our entire house; however, we also have secure gates available should you wish to resist to the main level. We also have a pet stroller should your dog have any mobility issues.

About: I am a 28-year-old working from home who loves animals. I currently have a 15-year-old orange cat at home. I have lived with and cared for multiple cats and dogs, as well as special needs pets who need additional medical care. I am looking to spend more times with animals while getting some exercise and helping other families out. I am also looking to drop in to care for pets, as my dog got older she had a harder time being home alone for long days and I want to be able to help other families and pet owners with this. I'm open to boarding and day care, my cat is very friendly, however, any pets for boarding or day care need to be respectful of giving other animals space as the 'old man' isn’t used to puppy energy anymore. If I could have more pets I would! I look forward to spending time with your pets, helping them exercise and have some company! I'm currently working from home so being able to get out and go for walks, or check in with your pets is a great addition to my day! Working from home also gives me the freedom to drop in or go for a walk anytime. I'm experienced with dogs of all ages, sizes and temperaments and always follow an owners instructions and preferences when it comes to their own animals. I currently work remotely and love the chance to get out of the house during the day. My schedule is pretty flexible to check in and walk dogs. I can have other pets in my home on a limited basis and can continue their usual routine when they're with me. I'm also more than happy to visit your pet. I'm comfortable crating animals and following their usual routine to make sure they're enjoying themselves.

Our puppy, Maud, loves coming to Carissa's! (We know this because of how hard her tail wags when we arrive each time!) She gets plenty of exercise and fun with Carissa's dog, Hershey, and we feel confident knowing Carissa will make sure she's safe, happy and having a well-balanced day :)

About: I’ve loved animals from a young age and have hands-on experience caring for a variety of pets, including a puppy, several cats, and even fish both as a child and as an adult. This has helped me understand the different needs and behaviors of animals—from energetic dogs to independent cats and the consistency required for maintaining a healthy aquarium. What sets me apart is that I genuinely enjoy spending time with pets and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I’m patient with puppies and can help reinforce basic routines, and I’m equally comfortable with cats, respecting their space while still giving them attention and care. My experience with fish has also made me detail-oriented when it comes to feeding schedules, cleanliness, and maintaining a stable environment—skills that carry over into all types of pet care. I’m reliable, attentive, and committed to following each pet’s routine closely. I also keep owners updated so they have peace of mind knowing their pets are in good hands. I treat every pet like family and focus on creating a stress-free, happy environment for them. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and make it a priority in my schedule. I plan my day to ensure I have dedicated time for feeding, walks, playtime, and general care, so pets receive consistent attention and are never rushed. I’m comfortable incorporating morning and evening routines, as well as check-ins during the day if needed. Whether it’s taking dogs out for walks, spending time playing, or ensuring cats and other pets are fed and comfortable, I make sure their routine is followed closely. I treat pet care as an important and enjoyable part of my routine, not just an extra task. I provide a safe, calm, and pet-friendly environment in my home where pets can feel comfortable and well cared for. I make sure they have a dedicated space to rest, access to fresh water, and a consistent routine for feeding, playtime, and relaxation. I take time to understand each pet’s habits and preferences so I can follow their normal routine as closely as possible. For dogs, this includes regular walks, playtime, and attention. For cats, I ensure a quiet, comfortable space while also giving them interaction on their terms. I’m also experienced in caring for fish, maintaining feeding schedules and a clean, stable environment. Pets are always supervised, and I focus on creating a stress-free atmosphere where they feel safe and at ease. I keep the home clean and organized and provide updates to owners so they know their pets are happy and in good hands. Overall, I treat every pet like family and make sure they receive consistent care, attention, and comfort throughout their stay.

About: I've owned and cared for dogs throughout my life, and am currently the proud owner of an 8-year-old beagle, Stella. She's very friendly with lots of friends and playmates, so our home is well adapted to four-legged visitors and guests :) I'm a freelance translator who works from home, with a flexible schedule and generally light workload, leaving me plenty of time to look after other dogs besides my own, including long walks and fun outings to the park. I have a great set-up to board dogs in my home: I live with my dog (8-y.o.) and cat (10-y.o.) in a bright, clean suite with a nice balcony in a very pet-friendly apartment complex in the North End of Halifax. There's a semi-private courtyard out front where dogs like to congregate and socialize, I'm in a very walkable neighborhood close to downtown, the Commons and the waterfront, and I have a safe, reliable car that I use to take my dog and others on fun outings to the park (Point Pleasant Park is a favorite destination). In addition, I'm certified in Pet First Aid by St. John Ambulance (Oct. 29, 2023 - certificate available for viewing in photos).

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover who grew up surrounded by pups — especially poodles and mountain sheepdogs — so caring for dogs truly feels second nature to me. 🐾 I live in downtown Halifax, which means lots of fun walking routes, parks, and new smells to explore! I love going for early morning walks to start the day and peaceful evening strolls to wind down, so your dog will get plenty of fresh air and exercise. I’m comfortable with different sizes and energy levels, from playful, high-energy dogs to calm, cuddly companions. Having grown up with larger breeds, I’m confident handling strong, active dogs, and I also adore the sweet, intelligent personalities of poodles. I’m patient, attentive, and treat every dog like they’re my own. Whether your pup needs long walks, playtime, belly rubs, or just some cozy company, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, loved, and happy while you’re away. Can’t wait to meet your furry family member! 🐶💛 I currently work remote - Being able to do this gives me a lot of time to spend going on walks , training, playing with little furry guys. I do have one toy poodle teddy he is a male 6 years of age and neutered . He's well trained and behaved he has his walking - food - play schedule and great with other dogs.

About: Hi there! I'm a lifelong dog lover with over 20 years of experience caring for dogs—not professionally, but personally and passionately. Growing up with dogs taught me that they’re not just pets; they’re family. In 2021, my wife and I brought home our furbaby, Kopi, when he was just a puppy—and we’ve been inseparable ever since. We even brought him with us from the Philippines to Canada because he’s family to us in every way. I walk Kopi three times a day—every morning and twice in the evening—and we run together twice a week (Tuesdays 3K, Thursdays 5K) to keep him active and healthy. He’s potty trained, well-socialized, and loves meeting new furry friends. If your pup needs a walking buddy or a loving companion while you're away, me and Kopi would be thrilled to be your dog’s next best pawwwllls! 🐾💙 You can count on me to treat your pet with the same care and love I give to my own—like family. Just message me and if I'm free, let's make your pup happy! Since I'm already walking my dog(kopi) three times a day, adding another pup to the pack is no problem at all! Walks aren’t just routine for me—they’re a fun, essential part of your dog’s day. I see it as their time to stay active, explore the world, and enjoy meeting (and sniffing!) their furry friends. Whether it's a quick stroll or a longer adventure, I'm happy to match your dog’s pace and energy. Let me know your preferred times—morning, afternoon, or evening—and I’ll do my best to fit it in! You can trust that I’ll treat both with the utmost respect and care. When I’m out with your pup, I always stay alert and mindful of the environment. I carefully observe surroundings to avoid potential hazards and make sure your dog feels safe and comfortable at all times. As a fellow dog parent, I understand how important it is to leave your furbaby in trustworthy hands. You can count on me to care for them just like I do my own—lovingly, responsibly, and with plenty of tail wags.

About: LGBTQ+ Safe 🥰 I've taken care of dogs and cats my whole life, I had been a Registered Veterinary Technician for 8 years before retiring in 2026 but had branched into my real interest, behaviour in 2022 by starting my own company and focusing on helping owners with their reactive and fearful dogs. I have worked in general practices and emergency medicine so your pet couldn't be in safer hands while with me. My big interests for breeds are German Shepherd Dogs, Dobermans, Malinois, Border Collies, essentially any working or high drive dogs. I've raised Bulldogs, Am Staff's, Rotties and German Shepherds through my life but working on the veterinary side I've worked with everything big and small. I love giant breeds, I've handled everything up to 180 lbs at this point. Though my current dog is a hound mix so I have begun to fall in love with those types of personalities and I do desire a Wire Fox Terrier later in life. I love advocating not only for fearful/anxious dogs but also small breeds who's behaviours are often ignored. My current dog is a rehome to me after biting the baby sitter in his initial home a few weeks after coming to Canada. Since being with me he has a fantastic support system from our primary care vet, our veterinary behaviour consultant, other local dog trainers, and a rehab/fitness specialist to not only manage his chronic pain but his medical management. He is currently on medications but has thrived in training since being with me, he has not been a bite risk while in my care. He loves humans more than anything, wanting to give you kisses and crawl into your skin if you allow him. He loves his dog friends as well, we spend lots of time hiking off leash with other dogs and training with them. Because of this he is also my demo dog for showing other dogs how to be comfortable and confident in the world while also showing things are possible to stressed owners that were where Memphis was in January 2025. My company is Canine Stability and I offer Dog Training, Dangerous Dog Assessments, Behavioural Rehabilitation for dogs with bite histories and severe anxiety and more. I love to focus on reactive and fearful dogs but please check out my Instagram to learn more! Currently my full-time job is my own business so am home during the day while having training sessions in the evenings and weekends. This is why I am now offering boarding for the work day. I am very vigilant about closed doors and gates. My backyard is fully fenced in but dogs are still not left unattended outside or when together. I believe in keeping arousal/stimulation fairly low, we are allowed to play but nothing crazy to avoid miscommunications between dogs and injuries. This doesn't mean they don't get to have structured play, access to a dig pit or other fun games and enrichment during their stay. Being calm and quiet helps with them being more calm and relaxed with the interactions given I am a new face usually. I am always hyper aware on walks or when out of the house with pets, I don't allow strangers to approach or unknown off leash dogs out of utmost precaution. I don't like or go to dog parks for the same reason, just to he on the safe side with unknown dogs/people. I prefer 2 attachments to dogs coming to my home. So I do prefer a collar and harness to be on the dog at time of drop off. Harnesses come off when inside but collars do not as they still stay under my direct supervision.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 117 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in ColeRidge Estates. About 86% of ColeRidge Estates sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's leash and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalized care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your ColeRidge Estates commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NS ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
