About: We've recently had to say goodbye to our adored 16 year old Miniature Dachshund and our family of four is seeking to share our home and love with other dogs. I am available to care for your dog during the day as I am not working and our two older children are in school. I am often not away from the house for more than 1 -2 hours at a time and I love spending time outdoors. We live in a pet friendly neighbourhood with sidewalks and easy access to both paved and wooded paths near the lake for lots of walks. While our backyards is not fully fenced, we do have a walkout deck and private grassy and wooded area for play and supervised breaks. We have experience with dogs of all ages, including puppies and senior dogs. I would be excited to learn more about your pet and can tailor my care for their unique needs. I am available 24/7 to care for your pet. I can provide undivided attention to your pup during the day and we can offer lots of attention and play given all family members are dog lovers. Typically, someone is always home and if not, we're only away for 1-2 hours at a time. Your pet will have access to our entire house; however, we also have secure gates available should you wish to resist to the main level. We also have a pet stroller should your dog have any mobility issues.

About: I've owned and cared for dogs throughout my life, and am currently the proud owner of an 8-year-old beagle, Stella. She's very friendly with lots of friends and playmates, so our home is well adapted to four-legged visitors and guests :) I'm a freelance translator who works from home, with a flexible schedule and generally light workload, leaving me plenty of time to look after other dogs besides my own, including long walks and fun outings to the park. I have a great set-up to board dogs in my home: I live with my dog (8-y.o.) and cat (10-y.o.) in a bright, clean suite with a nice balcony in a very pet-friendly apartment complex in the North End of Halifax. There's a semi-private courtyard out front where dogs like to congregate and socialize, I'm in a very walkable neighborhood close to downtown, the Commons and the waterfront, and I have a safe, reliable car that I use to take my dog and others on fun outings to the park (Point Pleasant Park is a favorite destination). In addition, I'm certified in Pet First Aid by St. John Ambulance (Oct. 29, 2023 - certificate available for viewing in photos).

About: I've shared my home with Scottish Terriers continuously since 2005, often two or three at once, which gave me a deep grounding in a notoriously stubborn, independent breed — but I'm happy to walk or sit any dog over 14 lbs. My current companion Frasier is 11, so I'm well versed in senior dog care, including recognizing changes in mobility, appetite, and energy that come with age. Years of managing multiple strong-willed terriers at once has made me patient, consistent, and quick to read a dog's mood, whatever the breed. I treat every companion in my care the way I treat my own. I'm currently between roles and conducting an active job search, which means I have a flexible daily schedule with plenty of time for walks, drop-ins, and companionship. I'm generally available throughout the day on weekdays and weekends alike, so scheduling around your pet's routine — rather than mine — is easy. As my situation changes I'll keep my availability updated, but for now I have significant time to devote to your dog's care. I live in an apartment with my partner and our 11-year-old Scottish Terrier, Frasier, who is friendly and well socialized with other dogs. There's no private yard, so walks and bathroom breaks happen on leash in the neighborhood, and I'm attentive to leash manners and safe street awareness at all times. I can crate a dog if needed, though I'm equally comfortable with supervised free time in the apartment. Your dog will always have a calm, clean, secure space and full attention while in my care.

About: I’ve had three cat for more than 6years, I can take care of them very well. For dogs, I’m always the one that my friends comes to when they are away and needs a responsible dog walker. One of my friend’s dog is very energetic and a little hostile to other large dogs, so I took him out very early in the morning to dogs park and play frisbee with him. For my weekly routine, I’m currently working part-time and the schedule is not always fixed. Please contact me few days before you need the service. I have a 6 years old male nutered ragdoll at home, very friendly and easy going with other cats but not sure about dogs. I live in an house and sharing it with my girlfriend.

About: I’ve owned and taken care of many small to big dogs all my life, growing up with animals in the house and around me. Currently I have a cat who is best friends with her golden retriever back home in ontario. I have held my own accountability and taken the responsibility to feed, walk, bathe, and play with my pets everyday because they need enrichment as well. Currently I am a university student taken mainly online courses so I’m always home with a flexible schedule. I have 2 classes i attend to every week but am never gone for more than 2-3 hours at a time. I’m an early riser and tend to be a bit of a night owl as well, so there’s plenty of time to play. I have a fenced yard so your pups stay close by when going potty and when I am gone marbles (my cat) will be able to keep them company, if needed i can also crate them. I like to keep my apartment clean so there is never food or a mess for your pups to get into as well.
