About: I've owned and cared for dogs throughout my life, and am currently the proud owner of an 8-year-old beagle, Stella. She's very friendly with lots of friends and playmates, so our home is well adapted to four-legged visitors and guests :) I'm a freelance translator who works from home, with a flexible schedule and generally light workload, leaving me plenty of time to look after other dogs besides my own, including long walks and fun outings to the park. I have a great set-up to board dogs in my home: I live with my dog (8-y.o.) and cat (10-y.o.) in a bright, clean suite with a nice balcony in a very pet-friendly apartment complex in the North End of Halifax. There's a semi-private courtyard out front where dogs like to congregate and socialize, I'm in a very walkable neighborhood close to downtown, the Commons and the waterfront, and I have a safe, reliable car that I use to take my dog and others on fun outings to the park (Point Pleasant Park is a favorite destination). In addition, I'm certified in Pet First Aid by St. John Ambulance (Oct. 29, 2023 - certificate available for viewing in photos).

About: We've recently had to say goodbye to our adored 16 year old Miniature Dachshund and our family of four is seeking to share our home and love with other dogs. I am available to care for your dog during the day as I am not working and our two older children are in school. I am often not away from the house for more than 1 -2 hours at a time and I love spending time outdoors. We live in a pet friendly neighbourhood with sidewalks and easy access to both paved and wooded paths near the lake for lots of walks. While our backyards is not fully fenced, we do have a walkout deck and private grassy and wooded area for play and supervised breaks. We have experience with dogs of all ages, including puppies and senior dogs. I would be excited to learn more about your pet and can tailor my care for their unique needs. I am available 24/7 to care for your pet. I can provide undivided attention to your pup during the day and we can offer lots of attention and play given all family members are dog lovers. Typically, someone is always home and if not, we're only away for 1-2 hours at a time. Your pet will have access to our entire house; however, we also have secure gates available should you wish to resist to the main level. We also have a pet stroller should your dog have any mobility issues.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 10 years old, my dad always had 3-4 dogs around and I love to play, feed and walk them. I raised a pup until the age of 13. I’m available for boarding on weekends and anytime after 5PM. I live in a good sized ground floor apartment with access to a fenced backyard with no other pets around. About: I am a 28-year-old working from home who loves animals. I currently have a 15-year-old orange cat at home. I have lived with and cared for multiple cats and dogs, as well as special needs pets who need additional medical care. I am looking to spend more times with animals while getting some exercise and helping other families out. I am also looking to drop in to care for pets, as my dog got older she had a harder time being home alone for long days and I want to be able to help other families and pet owners with this. I'm open to boarding and day care, my cat is very friendly, however, any pets for boarding or day care need to be respectful of giving other animals space as the 'old man' isn’t used to puppy energy anymore. If I could have more pets I would! I look forward to spending time with your pets, helping them exercise and have some company! I'm currently working from home so being able to get out and go for walks, or check in with your pets is a great addition to my day! Working from home also gives me the freedom to drop in or go for a walk anytime. I'm experienced with dogs of all ages, sizes and temperaments and always follow an owners instructions and preferences when it comes to their own animals. I currently work remotely and love the chance to get out of the house during the day. My schedule is pretty flexible to check in and walk dogs.
