About: I've owned and cared for dogs throughout my life, and am currently the proud owner of an 8-year-old beagle, Stella. She's very friendly with lots of friends and playmates, so our home is well adapted to four-legged visitors and guests :) I'm a freelance translator who works from home, with a flexible schedule and generally light workload, leaving me plenty of time to look after other dogs besides my own, including long walks and fun outings to the park. I have a great set-up to board dogs in my home: I live with my dog (8-y.o.) and cat (10-y.o.) in a bright, clean suite with a nice balcony in a very pet-friendly apartment complex in the North End of Halifax. There's a semi-private courtyard out front where dogs like to congregate and socialize, I'm in a very walkable neighborhood close to downtown, the Commons and the waterfront, and I have a safe, reliable car that I use to take my dog and others on fun outings to the park (Point Pleasant Park is a favorite destination). About: I’ve had three cat for more than 6years, I can take care of them very well. For dogs, I’m always the one that my friends comes to when they are away and needs a responsible dog walker. One of my friend’s dog is very energetic and a little hostile to other large dogs, so I took him out very early in the morning to dogs park and play frisbee with him. For my weekly routine, I’m currently working part-time and the schedule is not always fixed. Please contact me few days before you need the service. About: We've recently had to say goodbye to our adored 16 year old Miniature Dachshund and our family of four is seeking to share our home and love with other dogs. I am available to care for your dog during the day as I am not working and our two older children are in school. Anyone who knows Dachshunds knows they're wild, energetic and stubborn, but Lucy handled him expertly, even bringing her own harness when we mentioned we were having trouble finding one that fit him! She was attacked with kisses (they have 0 awareness of personal space) and I was AMAZED at the speed she got that harness on, seeing as it's usually a two person job on the best of days. Lucy sent pictures and was so great with Noodle, he slept all afternoon afterwards, and I can tell you, the peace of mind is everything to me. Thank you Lucy!”

We have almost 20 years of combined experience caring for pets, including cats, dogs, and small animals. “Excellent care and communication. We requested a boarding weekend last minute after another sitter fell through and Emily and her family were so accommodating and helpful. We were able to come for a meet and greet first to make sure Buddy would be comfortable and interact well with her family. She sent lots of updates and pictures and we felt very safe leaving him with her and her family. 10/10 would return and recommend to anyone looking for quality pet care in the area.”

About: I’ve been taking care of my dog for over fourteen years so I have experience from training to older dog needs (my guy gets eye drops four times a day). I’ve dog sat dogs ranging in size from 6lbs to 90lbs and am comfortable walking a large dog along with my dog. I’m available for dog walking anytime after 4:30 on weekdays and anytime on weekends as I work a full time Monday to Friday office job. For dog boarding I can take dogs Friday through Monday but am in office during the week so can only take dogs Tuesday to Thursday that are comfortable being home alone for four hours (I walk home at lunch to take them out) I have a one bedroom apartment and a friendly senior dog. I’ll walk the dogs together for most walks but will walk your dog longer if they need a little more exercise as my old guy taps out around half an hour these days.
About: Walking dogs was my main part-time job all through elementary and highschool. Now I have a dog of my own so it has once again become part of my daily routine. Sunny and I are always looking for new friends so would be excited to meet your pup! I am a young professional working remotely in the environmental field. I have quite a bit of flexibility in my schedule to work in some pet care! I am an active person keen to get outside with your pet! I am responsive to pets needs whether that means a trip to the bathroom or a game of tug-of-war.
About: I have always loved animals since I was a child! I worked as a volunteer dog care attendant with the SPCA for 9 years, and am certified in pet first aid. I also have a background in dog training and have dabbled in various dog sports over the years. Currently I share my home with my pit bull Atlas who LOVES all other dog friends, and my senior cat Kallie. I work from home so I'm able to be with your pet 24/7 during their stay with me! This way they don't need to be alone while you're away. I have a fully fenced yard and a very social pitbull who loves to make new friends and play. I can also offer daily walks while your pup is in my care if desired!
