Hello! My name is Kate. I am an accountant, working from home 3/5 days a week. I have a very active lifestyle and love to spend my time outdoors. I began offering my petcare services in 2019 through friends, family and neighbours. I have worked with dogs big and small. I am also a lover of cats and have taken care of my own cat for the last 10 years. I worked with a foster agency while I was in university and had experience working with small and large dogs. I am new to the Rover app but I have experience in pet / house sitting and dog walking.

I recently relocated here and had a family emergency that required I fly out as soon as possible. Kate was so accommodating, understanding and kind throughout the process. She provided drop in care for my cats and my dog boarded with her. The photos she sent during the period were a great comfort to me during a difficult time. She has experience caring for both cats and dogs and it was clearly evident. When it came time for my dog to return, I could tell that my dog really bonded with her, which was really good to see. I was a little worried my dog might be anxious and reactive on walks as everything here is new to her but she had even settled down some on walks after she returned. I have no hesitation recommending her pet care services.

Kate is very sweet and accommodating!! Rex loves spending the day at her place while Im at work. Shes the best Rover sitter on this app that I’ve found! She really impressed me by asking thoughtful questions to make sure she could give Rex the best possible care. I felt confident leaving him with her.
Highly recommend! Kate sent me updates throughout the day and my pup seemed very happy :)

Schedule
I work from home 3/5 days of the week from 7:30 to 4:30. My schedule is very flexible and I am able to choose my WFH days as I wish, which I am happy to tailor to your needs. For the days I work from home I can be with your pet all day! Otherwise I am available after 4:30 as well as weekends.

I live in a 2 bedroom house near the Commons and my neighborhood is next to some great walking trails and fields. I am happy to board pets overnight as I no longer have pets of my own, therefore, my house is free for yours to roam. Pet parents should provide any beds or necessary materials so that I may feed and walk your pets. I also have plenty of space should a crate be required. I am happy to administer medication if required. I enjoy pet sitting because I love animals and have lots of free time, so I can be flexible with my schedule, as well as cancellations. Your pets’ safety and happiness are paramount. I aim to create a stress free and fun environment for everyone. Feel free to reach out, I am typically quick to respond!
A typical day
I enjoy taking dogs for long walks around the neighborhood or in nature, playing a game of catch or frisbee! Or even just hanging out and taking it easy on the couch! Whatever your pet prefers!
