“Bridget took great care of our girls and dropped in twice so we could enjoy a night out! She sent us several photos and followed all of our requests perfectly! We will definitely continue to use Bridget!”
About: Hi! I’m Lauren, and I’ve been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up with both dogs and cats, so caring for pets has always been second nature to me. In addition to caring for my own pets, I have worked on a farm for many years where I spent my days around dogs, horses, and plenty of barn cats. Being around animals every day has taught me to read their body language, understand their unique personalities, and provide patient, attentive care. Whether your animal loves long walks, energetic playtime, or simply wants someone to keep them company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I know every dog is different, and I’m happy to follow your routine to keep them comfortable and happy. I treat every dog like they’re my own, and I can’t wait to meet your best friend! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine! I work remotely four days a week in a flexible role, which allows me to provide frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of companionship throughout the day. My schedule isn’t tied to a strict 9 to 5, so I’m able to adapt to your pet’s routine and individual needs. I live in a spacious apartment with plenty of room for your pet to relax and feel at home. Daily walks are already part of my routine, and I love getting outside for fresh air and exercise. When caring for your pet, I prioritize giving each animal the attention, affection, and consistency they deserve. Whether your pet enjoys an active day of adventures or a quiet afternoon of cuddles and naps, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. You’ll also receive regular photo updates, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. I live in a quiet, pet friendly neighbourhood in a spacious apartment that provides a calm and comfortable environment for pets. My building is peaceful with minimal noise, making it a great place for dogs and cats to relax and feel at ease. There’s plenty of room to stretch out, play, and settle in, so your pet can enjoy a safe, stress free stay while you’re away.
About: Lifelong dog lover and proud dog mom to my Australian Shepherd, Pepper 🐾 My home is calm, cozy, and very dog-friendly. I work from home, so your pup will get plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day—no long hours alone. I’m experienced with daily routines, walks, playtime, and making sure each dog feels comfortable and cared for. I’m happy to care for puppies (with all the patience and consistency they need!) as well as senior dogs who may need a gentler, more relaxed approach. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or prefers to cuddle and relax, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and right at home. I work from home most days, which allows me to give pets lots of attention and keep a consistent routine. I’m home Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and weekends, so your pet will have plenty of company throughout the day. On Wednesdays, I’m in the office, but I’m located very close to home and can easily come back for check-ins, walks, and care as needed. Overall, I have a flexible schedule and can adapt to your pet’s routine to make sure they’re comfortable, well cared for, and never left alone for long. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in a pet-friendly apartment on the main floor, which means quick and easy access to the outdoors for bathroom breaks and walks—no long waits or elevators needed. We’re also located near great off-leash parks and walking areas, perfect for getting in lots of exercise and fresh air (always based on your comfort level and your dog’s needs). Inside, my home is clean, calm, and set up to be a safe, cozy environment where your dog can relax and feel at home. I’m attentive, responsible, and always mindful of each dog’s routine, safety, and well-being.
About: The particular joy, learning opportunities, sense of fulfillment and gratitude that dogs bring to my life is unparalleled. Throughout my 15 years I learned a simple principle: the more time I spend taking care of doggos, the happier I am 🤓👍. I’ve had the privilege to care for dogs of all ages, with health conditions such as epilepsy and diabetes. Suffice to say— family, friends and neighbours deem myself as the reliable choice when it comes to pet care. My schedule is quite flexible and walking is a part of my day so I am ALWAYS willing to incorporate doggos into my routine 😃🙂 My building is very dog friendly! So much green space around, ideal for walking. Lots of cuddles and exercise guaranteed. I love to keep a list of dietary restrictions.
About: I first become a Corgi mom in 2021, and ever since then I have absolutely fallen in love with taking care of pets. In 2022, I added a Siberian cat to the family and in 2024, another corgi got to join the mix. As a remote worker with limited outside interaction in a day, I've really grown to enjoy the fulfillment I feel in taking care of my pets, seeing them happy and playing, and having them as my friendly, if somewhat unproductive, co-workers. As a sitter, I bring my own experience wrangling 3 pets of my own and the genuine belief that pets are meant to be your best friends. I currently work asynchronously full-time from home but I have a very flexible schedule during the day which would allow me to still fulfill my pet care services. My goal is to match the energy of the pet I'm caring for. If they're high-energy, then I'd love to get them outside for us much of the time outside. If they're more laid back, then I'd set with them, give them affection, hold a chew toy for them, and make sure they can enjoy some relaxed companionship.
“Delightful! Wonderful personality! Kind to my animals and very respectful in my home! You would be stupid not to reach out to her! Thank you soooo much!!!! You made my holiday better!”

“Ross was a wonderful sitter with our older cat. He kept us informed during the entire time and was very responsive. He even took care of our mail while we were away. I highly recommend him!”

“Would give her 6 stars if we could. Cleah was an absolutely wonderful sitter for our cat while we were gone for two weeks (and during Tropical Storm Fiona!). She took pains to sit and play with Orson, kept us updated on him with pictures and notes after every visit and went above-and-beyond, post-storm, to ensure that he remained well cared for. Assuming she wants to, we'll want her back for future cat-sitting. Thanks Cleah!”

“Keisha does a great job with my shy cat, Walter. He seems to really have taking a liking to her as he doesn’t hide when she comes to check in! Great communication keeps my mind at ease while I’m away. Highly recommend!”

“I immediately trusted and felt comfortable with Jaime. She is very professional, communicative, and thorough, and she made sure Gus had such a blast!!! Lots of play, exercise, and cuddles. What more could you want?”

“I was away for a couple of weeks and needed someone to help taking care of my cat. Jesalah is so great with him. Communication was clear and prompt. Definitely recommend her service!”

“Dakota was great. Did an excellent job taking care of our two cats while we were on vacation. He sent pictures and notes everyday about how they were doing, which was very reassuring while away.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Dartmouth
Lucy has been amazing with our puppy, Hudson! She has been helping with midday visits while we’re working, taking him for short walks, giving him lots of attention, and helping reinforce his puppy training and routines. She’s reliable, communicative, and clearly cares about him. Hudson is always excited to see her, and we have complete confidence in her care. We (and Hudson!) absolutely love Lucy and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for support with their dog.

Lori is hands down the absolute best! From the very first moment my dog met her, it was instant love—and honestly, I felt the exact same way. I was completely out of touch and unable to communicate while I was away, but I had total peace of mind because Lori already felt just like family. We love her so much! If pets could leave reviews, I know they would join us in giving Lori a million stars. We couldn’t recommend her more! Hey Lori, if in the future you will need any favor, dont hesitate to message us! Keep in touch! ❤️ so much love

Rhonda was a wonderful sitter, very reliable and caring, even in the midst of a crippling snowstorm that brought the city to a halt and cancelled my initial return flight. I had to be in another province and she sent me daily photos and updates. I will definitely ask her to come by again; so glad to have found her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
