About: *First time using Rover? Use my code: JAIMER31216 to get $20 off your first booking with me!* Hi, I'm Jaime! With a biology background and hands-on experience in animal care, I bring a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to pet care. I grew up around animals and have cared for dogs and cats (and plenty of other animals along the way!) across a wide range of ages, breeds, energy levels, and temperaments. I’m comfortable supporting pets with strong routines or behavioural quirks and have experience with basic training cues and leash handling through fostering dogs. I take reliability seriously and communicate clearly throughout each booking so owners feel informed and at ease while their pet is in my care! I’m currently in graduate school, and I’m available some weekdays and most weekends for walks, drop-ins, or house sittings (I can typically accommodate different routines & scheduling needs). I love incorporating pets into my daily routine with outdoor walks, hikes, and playtime, making sure they get lots of attention and exercise. I tailor care to each pet’s needs and routine to keep them comfortable, settled, and happy. I provide dependable, attentive care in your home and focus on keeping each pet comfortable and well cared for. I pay close attention to behaviour, energy level, and day-to-day needs. I communicate clearly throughout the visit with photo updates.
About: I have experience with dog sitting a dog with anxiety and able to give medications. Also have experience feeding dogs raw food. Plus I have two Huskies of my own that I raise from puppies. I have experience with taking dogs for walks and to the dog park where they can be themselves. I'm currently looking after one dog occasionally when the person goes away. So I have alot of time in my day to look after other animals. I own two Huskies but my partner can look after them when I'm away. I always put the dog safety first and make sure they are not getting in anything they shouldn't. On a walk and I see another dog coming I will pull over to one side and let the dogs pass. If you have a dog with anxiety, I will listen to there body language. When they say it's enough it's enough. I will leave or turn around and go home. If they need to decompress I will give them time to do that.
About: I have been taking care of animals ever since I can remember! My background working on farms taught me to stay calm under pressure and handle animals of all sizes and temperaments. Whether it’s a stubborn puppy or a cat that needs a little extra space, I’m highly observant of animal body language. Feel free to reach out with any questions. I’m looking forward to helping you and your pet! I work remotely in the South End, giving me great flexibility for walks and house sitting. Since I'm home throughout the day, I can provide a high level of supervision and quick responses for any last minute needs. I treat your home with the same care I treat my own. While house sitting, I stay tidy, follow all house rules, and ensure your pet’s environment stays consistent and without stress. I provide detailed updates and photos after every visit or throughout a stay. I’m also happy to handle small household tasks.
“This is our first time using Rover and Ross gave us the best experience. He was so communicative and kind, sending us pictures of the cats with every drop off and detailed notes - he even went out of his way to bring up some of our mail from the lobby.”

“Dakota was great. Did an excellent job taking care of our two cats while we were on vacation. He sent pictures and notes everyday about how they were doing, which was very reassuring while away.”

“Cleah was absolutely fantastic! Not only did she do a great job of taking care of my three kitties, she was also exceedingly flexible when a friend needed a place to stay for a few days and I offered up my apartment. This level of flexibility and professionalism was appreciated around this time of year. Communication was great, I never felt nervous about how the kitties were doing, she did a great job handling my cats interesting diet needs, and sent loves of photos of the fur babies. If I could give 6/5 stars I would :)”

“Delightful! Wonderful personality! Kind to my animals and very respectful in my home! You would be stupid not to reach out to her! Thank you soooo much!!!! You made my holiday better!”

About: What sets me apart is my attention to detail and commitment to following your pet's routine. I have two cats, one of whom has asthma and requires an inhaler twice a day, so I'm comfortable administering medication and keeping a close eye on pets' health and well-being. I also grew up with dogs and have experience caring for a variety of personalities and energy levels. As a CPA, I'm organized, dependable, and take responsibility seriously. You can trust that I'll follow your instructions carefully, show up when expected, and provide updates so you know your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for. Caring for animals is already part of my everyday life. I have two cats of my own, including one who requires daily medication, so feeding, monitoring health needs, and sticking to routines are things I do every day. Adding dog walks and drop-in visits to my week is something I genuinely enjoy. I love spending time with animals and understand how important it is for pets to have consistent, reliable care while their owners are away. When caring for pets in a client's home, I aim to keep their routine as consistent as possible. I'll follow all feeding, walking, medication, and care instructions carefully while making sure your pet feels comfortable and cared for in their familiar environment. During visits, I'll make sure pets have fresh food and water, clean up any messes, provide playtime and attention, and monitor their overall well-being. For dog walks, I'll tailor the pace and length of the walk to your dog's age, energy level, and needs. I'll also provide updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is happy and in good hands while you're away.
About: I've shared my home with Scottish Terriers continuously since 2005, often two or three at once, which gave me a deep grounding in a notoriously stubborn, independent breed — but I'm happy to walk or sit any dog over 14 lbs. My current companion Frasier is 11, so I'm well versed in senior dog care, including recognizing changes in mobility, appetite, and energy that come with age. Years of managing multiple strong-willed terriers at once has made me patient, consistent, and quick to read a dog's mood, whatever the breed. I treat every companion in my care the way I treat my own. I'm currently between roles and conducting an active job search, which means I have a flexible daily schedule with plenty of time for walks, drop-ins, and companionship. I'm generally available throughout the day on weekdays and weekends alike, so scheduling around your pet's routine — rather than mine — is easy. As my situation changes I'll keep my availability updated, but for now I have significant time to devote to your dog's care. I live in an apartment with my partner and our 11-year-old Scottish Terrier, Frasier, who is friendly and well socialized with other dogs. There's no private yard, so walks and bathroom breaks happen on leash in the neighborhood, and I'm attentive to leash manners and safe street awareness at all times. I can crate a dog if needed, though I'm equally comfortable with supervised free time in the apartment. Your dog will always have a calm, clean, secure space and full attention while in my care.

About: From my first family cat at age 3, to the German Shepherd I rescued and I trained to win two 4-H County Obediance Championships, to the two wonderful cats my kids and I adopted from the SPCA, I've spent my whole life loving and caring for cats and dogs, and I look forward to caring for and loving yours:) As a full-time high school Music and English teacher, I'm currently available late afternoons, evenings and weekends. But in the summer, I will have much more availability. My teenagers are old enough to stay home on their own, so short-term house sitting and overnight pet care are also possible for me. I'm not able to care for pets in my home, as I have two cats that may not appreciate animal vistors. However, I can visit your home, and possibly stay overnight short term.
About: Ive grown up caring for animals my entire life: dogs, cats, and chickens! What makes me a great sitter is that I genuinely love animals and my goal is to make them feel as comfortable and happy as possible. I am also an active person so your dog will always come home well-exercised after a walk with me! I work part time and can be pretty accommodating with your schedule. Mornings, afternoons or evenings - I am sure we can make something work :) In my home, my cats are my family and are treated as such. I make it a priority to play with them everyday and make sure that they have toys available to help stimulate them. In your home, I will prioritize yours and your pets boundaries by following all given instructions carefully and I will always be a transparent and timely communicator.
“I would 100% recommend Jessica! She was so easy to communicate with and super friendly! We had her do 2 drop in visits while we were away this passed weekend for our cat and 2 guinea pigs. She went above and beyond what we asked her to do and will definitely use her in the future when we go away!”
“Emily is extremely reliable, professional and an experienced pet handler. She kept me updated daily with photos and info, and took wonderful care of our cats. We're grateful for her service!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Dartmouth
Lucy has been amazing with our puppy, Hudson! She has been helping with midday visits while we’re working, taking him for short walks, giving him lots of attention, and helping reinforce his puppy training and routines. She’s reliable, communicative, and clearly cares about him. Hudson is always excited to see her, and we have complete confidence in her care. We (and Hudson!) absolutely love Lucy and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for support with their dog.

Lori is hands down the absolute best! From the very first moment my dog met her, it was instant love—and honestly, I felt the exact same way. I was completely out of touch and unable to communicate while I was away, but I had total peace of mind because Lori already felt just like family. We love her so much! If pets could leave reviews, I know they would join us in giving Lori a million stars. We couldn’t recommend her more! Hey Lori, if in the future you will need any favor, dont hesitate to message us! Keep in touch! ❤️ so much love

Rhonda was a wonderful sitter, very reliable and caring, even in the midst of a crippling snowstorm that brought the city to a halt and cancelled my initial return flight. I had to be in another province and she sent me daily photos and updates. I will definitely ask her to come by again; so glad to have found her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
