I take the time to get to know your fur babies to provide care as close to what you would provide to them as I can. I work downtown so I am able to drop in on my lunch to check in or walk. I am also availability for pet sitting. I will take the time to review all your pets needs and ask questions to ensure you feel comfortable trusting your pet with me as I know it can be hard to leave them with someone else.
About: I grew up with a lot of animals. I feel happy spending time with them and they are indispensable to me. and I love animals! About: *First time using Rover? Use my code: JAIMER31216 to get $20 off your first booking with me!* Hi, I'm Jaime! With a biology background and hands-on experience in animal care, I bring a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to pet care. I grew up around animals and have cared for dogs and cats (and plenty of other animals along the way!) across a wide range of ages, breeds, energy levels, and temperaments. I’m comfortable supporting pets with strong routines or behavioural quirks and have experience with basic training cues and leash handling through fostering dogs. I take reliability seriously and communicate clearly throughout each booking so owners feel informed and at ease while their pet is in my care! I’m currently in graduate school, and I’m available some weekdays and most weekends for walks, drop-ins, or house sittings (I can typically accommodate different routines & scheduling needs). I love incorporating pets into my daily routine with outdoor walks, hikes, and playtime, making sure they get lots of attention and exercise. I tailor care to each pet’s needs and routine to keep them comfortable, settled, and happy. I provide dependable, attentive care in your home and focus on keeping each pet comfortable and well cared for. I pay close attention to behaviour, energy level, and day-to-day needs. I communicate clearly throughout the visit with photo updates.

“Miranda was terrific, going above and beyond to make sure both my dog and myself were comfortable with her in our home. She met my dog at his own pace, kept an eye on his allergies, and even cleaned the dog dishes before leaving. 10/10”

“Nicole did a wonderful job taking care of our cat, Kiki while we were away. She provided detailed information about how Kiki was doing and sent lots of pictures! It was such a relief to know Kiki was being so well looked after.”

“We reached out to Emily last minute while we were already travelling, when our cat sitter unexpectedly fell through. She immediately accepted and took great care of our cats while we were away, even though we had never met. The cats were well-fed and happy when we returned. Great communication. 10/10 would book again.”

About: I've grown up surrounded by animals and various pets all my life. Unfortunately due to my job, I am unable to have one myself, but would love nothing more then to spend a day with your furry friend. I have cared for Dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, you name it! From high energy breeds bouncing off the wall to just wanting to chill at home I can match whatever your furball needs. I am available after 4 pm Monday to Friday and anytime on weekends. I am happy to accommodate your schedule as needed and be flexible. I go on various work trips that will be communicated through my calendar. I understand different pets have different needs. I am happy to accommodate to you as required such as feeding, enrichment, and grooming. Also happy to provide updates and photos throughout care.
About: As an animal lover with experience working in veterinary clinics, humane societies and a wildlife rehabilitation center, I’m an experienced sitter for any pet! I recently graduated from the Masters of Wildlife Biology at the University of Guelph and am now back living in Nova Scotia full time. Throughout my degree, I worked at the Guelph Humane Society as an animal care attendant, and worked at a wildlife rehabilitation center for the last 5 summers, as a wildlife care technician. I personally have a love for small critters - especially rabbits, rats and reptiles, and am more than happy to discuss drop-in for any “exotic” pet! I’m now running my own small business for the summer months, which means my hours are very flexible and I work from home! Feel free to reach out with any questions you may have :) I am a small business owner which means my schedule is very flexible and I work from home! My roommate and I used to do Rover together before she moved, so you may see her name (Brianna) in some of our reviews. Feel free to send me a message regarding scheduling to see if I’m able to fit your pet into my day! For dog walking, I am able to walk around your neighborhood but I also have my own car so could take your dog to a different area if you prefer!
About: Hello, thank you for taking a look at my profile! If you are looking for someone who is responsible, knowledgeable, honest, compassionate and Pet First Aid certified to look after your pets, please continue reading and send me a message. I can’t wait for us to get to know each other better! My name is Chloe, and I would love to be your dogs next best friend! I have three dogs of my own, a 5 year old Border Collie (Brady), a 4 year old Border Collie (Poppy) and a 4 year old Australian Cattle Dog (Quinn), and I frequently walk/board over 50 dogs (not at the same time lol). I am always looking for more clients, the more doggy friends the better :) I used to work at two popular doggy daycares in Dartmouth, NS. At the daycares I would have many dogs of all different sizes and personalities in my care. Sometimes the numbers of pups in my care could even reach 100 on a single day! The dogs currently in my care range from tiny Boston Terriers, to Greyhounds and 100 lbs Bernadoodles! So it’s safe to say I’ve got tons of experience with dogs of all sizes, breeds and reactivity levels. I am currently not offering boarding at my home, but I can come and stay at your home and provide the best in-home boarding services around! At home is where your pets are most comfortable and I want to help them have a fun filled stress free time while you are away. I love being active and can adapt to any pups lifestyle. Do they need a longer hike at a nearby trail? A short stroll around the neighbourhood? Want to play fetch in their backyard or a nearby fenced in field? Go for a run at the beach? You can count on me to give your pup the best time. I offer more than what is listed here on Rover, so if you’d like to know more please don’t hesitate to send me a message! Thank you, I can’t wait to hear from you! 🐾 Everything I do everyday is focused on my pet care business. I am 100% committed to giving your pet(s) the best care and attention possible. When I stay at someone’s home to take care of their pets, I adapt to that pups lifestyle to give them the best personalized in-home boarding experience. Whether it is a senior dog who only needs 1 or 2 short walks and then wants to cuddle all day, or an energetic younger dog who needs multiple hours of exercise every day. I love to hike on trails that aren’t well known so we don’t run into other people and dogs, I love to go to the beach! I even take the dogs I’m with to run errands with me if that’s something they enjoy. Because I do this full time, your dog will rarely have to be left home alone. (As long as they are good with other dogs) Otherwise the longest they would be alone is 7 hours, but I can provide drop in visits / walks for them to break up that time.
About: From a young age I’ve always had a passion for animals and providing proper care. From dogs to hamsters and others in between. At my family home I’ve taken care of upwards of 9 pets. I’ve also babysat overnight my boyfriends two shih tzus. I’ve been a sitter on Rover in Wolfville for a year now, but I moved back to my hometown. I am currently working full time at Jollytails! I am free for dog walks in the evening & can do over night stays on the weekends. My shifts are quite long (10 hours) so it makes overnights more difficult during the week as I wouldn’t want to leave your fur baby for that long! Unfortunately I can not offer at home boarding as I live at home with 4 cats. I’m willing to come to your home to do overnight stays and I have a car as well to take your dog(s) for drives to parks/lakes.

About: My husband and I have had pets together for more than 20 years and our children have grown up with these animals their whole lives. We are trying to raise our teenagers to be responsible, hard-working men. With few job opportunities and busy school and extra-curricular activities, we thought why not help them turn their love for animals into a learning opportunity. Currently we have a 1.5 year old Siberian Husky (intact) and two 8-10 year old cats. All are up-to-date on vaccinations. We can offer dog-walking (with or without our dog tagging along), check-ins, house-sitting (your home or potentially our, depending on the pet). If you have special training needs or things to work on, we will do our best to accommodate. Our schedule is quite flexible. My husband and I work full-time (days), with some days being work-from-home. Our sons, aged 14.5 and almost 16. Are home during the daytime for the summer. We have a daughter (almost 4 years old); she loves animals and is respectful of them. We have a large fenced yard in a quiet neighborhood. Our house is 2 stores and animals can be separated into smaller areas if ever needed. Pets would not be left unattended at any time while at our house.
About: I am a life long animal lover who currently has a dog, Olive, and a cat, Feta (can you tell my better half is Greek?!) I am available for drop ins and walks- with or without my pup Olive. Whatever is best for your dog. I love to go hiking and can take your dog on or off leash in lots of beautiful trails around HRM. If walks in your neighborhood or dog parks are better for your dog we can do that too! I am also available to drop in on your kitties! I can’t wait to meet you and your fur babies. I am currently on maternity leave and so I have lots of availability. If it’s a weekday I will bring along my 9 month old in her carrier. On evening and weekends I will come alone. I have used rover both as a dog walker and as a dog owner. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pets with someone else. I will take care of your pets as I would my own.
About: I'm Michael. I live in a one-bedroom basement suite. I have a well-behaved and-trained 11-years-old male border collie (neutered). He helped many puppies learn how to socialize. I sometimes dog sitting my friends' dogs. I also coach people how to communicate with their dogs instead of just simply "traditional training." I let my dog out often since he is a senior dog (I do not want him to hold urine too long). I walk him every day if the weather is permitted. Your dog MUST be vaccinated and has flea prevention treatment (documents are required to show me when we meet). Your dog also should be well-house trained and is being able to socialize with other dogs. I work from home most of the time. I only need to go to my office at SFU once per week on Tuesdays and I take my dog to my office as well. If your dog is okay being around people, I could do that too.
