About: Since I started this beautiful profession, I knew this was what I knew how to do best. The commitment I give when I care for a dog is 100%, which allows me to build trust with the client. My key is to always stay in touch with the dog or cat's owner, which is why I always send photos and videos so that both the owner and the dog feel comfortable under my care. I dedicate a lot of time to dog care because I only study in the mornings, which leaves me with a large portion of the day free to dedicate to this. Weekends are days when I could dedicate my time to them. Since I live in an apartment, the pets that stay with me here have the freedom to roam anywhere in my home, and I give them the option of sleeping with me or wherever they choose, as long as they're under my supervision. Every day, while they're in my care, they have set playtimes where I can play with them or walk them, according to the owner's specifications. Depending on the service they require.

About: Hi! My name is Sofia and I am in my fourth year at Dalhousie. I have grown up around pets my whole life and absolutely love every animal. My family dog Liam, who was a mastiff passed away this most recent summer and I miss him dearly. I am down for anything when it comes to dogs. Whether that’s a casual walk, a hike (as I have a car), a fetch on the beach, and always some furry friend snuggles! My experience with dog sitting goes back to grade 8. Growing up in a small mountain town I would dog sit for family friends, coworkers and teachers. I love being around pets and it makes me happy when dogs are comfortable, happy, and feel safe. My most recent experience was dog sitting in the valley for an English Mastiff. I feel comfortable with every size of dog and as long as they are happy I am happy. I am a trusting, reliable, caring, and dog loving individual. I love having a furry companion by my side and providing it with the best care possible so that you can enjoy your time away without having to worry about your baby. Since the passing of my 11 and 1/2 year old mastiff, I thought this would be a good way to still have fur babies in my life:) As I am in my fourth year at Dalhousie, I do have classes however my schedule is quite flexible this semester. I am always available Thursday through Sunday. My main focus is always making sure the pet is comfortable. I make sure to not overwhelm the dog and slowly introduce myself so that they are comfortable with me. I am very attentive to there emotions and needs and make sure they are always looked after.

About: I love animals so much and have had them in my life since a very young age. I will love your animal like my own and will keep them happy until your return! I own my own spa business out of my home so I am flexible to be able to fit visits in with your pet through the day. The pets in my house (I have a dog and two cats) are spoiled rotten! I believe that all animals are a gift to us! I have the ability to administer medication to your pets if needed also. I am flexible for whatever your animals needs are - just ask!

About: I am a 27-year-old working from home who loves animals. I currently have two elderly pets at home, a 13-year-old orange cat and 12-year-old Shorkie (Shih Tzu Yorkie mix). I have lived with and cared for multiple cats and dogs, as well as special needs pets who need additional medical care. I am looking to spend more times with animals while getting some exercise and helping other families out. I am also looking to drop in to care for pets, as my dog got older she had a harder time being home alone for long days and I want to be able to help other families and pet owners with this. I'm open to boarding and day care, my cat and dog are very friendly, however, any pets for boarding or day care need to be respectful of giving other animals space as the 'old men' aren't used to puppy energy anymore. If I could have more pets I would! I look forward to spending time with your pets, helping them exercise and have some company! I'm currently working from home so being able to get out and go for walks, or check in with your pets is a great addition to my day! Working from home also gives me the freedom to drop in or go for a walk anytime. I'm experienced with dogs of all ages, sizes and temperaments and always follow an owners instructions and preferences when it comes to their own animals. I currently work remotely and love the chance to get out of the house during the day. My schedule is pretty flexible to check in and walk dogs. I can have other pets in my home on a limited basis and can continue their usual routine when they're with me. I'm also more than happy to visit your pet. I'm comfortable crating animals and following their usual routine to make sure they're enjoying themselves.

About: I have been taking care of pets since I was about 10 years old looking after cats and dogs as neighbours were on vacation. I have two cats of my own and would love to take care of your babies! I work full time 8:30-4:30 with an hour lunch break. I have a lot of flexibility with my job and work from home most of the time. I always ensure to maintain as much of the animals routine as possible to make their human’s absence as easy as I can! Safety and comfort is my top priority.

About: I’ve taken care of countless pet breeds and have developed a deep love for wanting to understand these tremendous animals. I enjoy caring after hygiene and having a fun (and safe) time with the fur babies. I’m currently working part-time on the weekends before returning to University in the fall. This gives me plenty of time throughout the week to devote to practical pet care activities. I have a fenced backyard with a considerate amount of space. Very open concept floor plan within the house as sharp edges like tables/chairs, furniture are not an issue.

About: I have had dogs and cats my whole life. I even had a horse at one point. I've done farm work and I'm very comfortable around animals. I'm the go to for friends and family when fur babies need taking care of! I currently work from home 2 days a week so we can walk on my lunch break. There is lots of opportunity for play as well I have a large fenced yard that offers lots of play with my big girl Betty. I can offer walks and I can crate or gate your fur baby if necessary

About: I am a life-long animal lover who grew up with dogs. Now, I work full-time in healthcare so I can’t have a pet of my own. My schedule is highly flexible and variable though, letting me offer services when others can’t. I’m also very comfortable with complex care needs. I like keeping busy and am happy to spend as much time as needed on exercise, enrichment/training and grooming, so long as your pets are agreeable. I require on site parking for house sitting please. I work full-time in healthcare so I can’t have a pet of my own. My schedule is highly variable from week to week and month to month, letting me offer services when others can’t. I’m often available on a last minute basis as well, just ask!! I like to keep busy so your pet won’t get too much time to be sad about your absence. I look forward to a brief phone chat or a few emails back and forth to get to know what your pet’s routine and habits are to minimize the disruption of having their favourite person away and a weird stranger in their home.

About: I take pets of any age, species and size! I love to train and groom, also have extensive veterinary knowledge and am fear free and pet first aid certified. I would love more pets to look after! (I can provide nail trims and some grooming services free of charge with booking 🩷 🐾 ) I’m usually free throughout the week and my work is client based so I don’t have a set schedule. Your pets are your family and I will do whatever I can to be there for them at all times! I have 2 senior dogs currently who require a close eye for their own safety so I am used to watching over them all the time. I can meet whatever food, medication and outing rules you have for your pets and can provide grooming for them as well
