“Cooper loved his time with Renita. She is so caring and I felt really comfortable leaving him for the evening! She also sends a lot of updates throughout the day in which I really enjoyed! I will defenitely be using her again soon!!”

“Jennifer was absolutely amazing with taking care of Winnie! She sent several updates throughout the day. Winnie had a great time. Couldn’t ask for a better sitter for my dog! Will definitely book with Jennifer in the future :)”

“Greer was absolutely amazing with our dog, Beau! She looked after him while we were away for a wedding, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. It was clear from the updates and photos that Beau had the best time—he was so happy, relaxed, and well cared for. Knowing he was in such great hands let us fully enjoy our weekend away. We would absolutely trust Greer with Beau again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable pet sitter. Thank you so much, Greer!”

“Ryan is clearly a dog lover. It was our dog Maxx's second stay with Ryan and we have booked a third! Maxx is well cared for and enjoys his time with Ryan. He is anxious dog and was very settled this visit. He clearly knows and likes Ryan.”

“It was our first time using Rover. Meaghan and family were amazing dog sitters and welcomed our golden retriever into their home with open arms. Our girl loved hanging out with their dogs and cat, was taken on many walks, and rides for treats. She had a blast! Communication was excellent with photos throughout the boarding. Thank you, Meaghan! 🐕 ☺️”

“Liefe, Eliza and Kiran were great and I had no issues. Basil stayed with them for two weeks and I felt she would have gotten lots of love and attention. They responded in a timely manner when we were scheduling dropping her off and picking her up and let me know when there were issues. I would book with them again.”

“Annie was treated like royalty with Jessica! Very communicative, tools her for lots of walks, and treated her like she was her own dog. Will absolutely be using her again. Thank you!!”

“Gail and Felicity were amazing, great communication and the cutest photos, Tux was clearly relaxed and enjoying his time with them! Gail and Felicity have lots of experience/knowledge to handle all kinds of dogs and different temperaments, it was very much appreciated and I recommend highly. Thank you!”

“We left our dog Flurry with Carolina for a week, and we're thrilled with her! She sent us lots of pictures of what Flurry got up to over the week, from their walks together to hanging out. From what we could tell, Flurry was very happy, he got lots of walks, and was very well taken care of. The best evidence of this? When I picked Flurry up, he was happy to see me--but he was not in a hurry to leave! He seemed very happy, and likely made a new friend with Carolina's dog, who is very friendly. We'd recommend her to anyone, and will definitely get in touch with her again when we need a dog sitter we can rely on. Thanks again, Carolina!”

“Deanna felt like the right fit from the beginning. She has a genuine love for your fur baby. I never once worried and I know Milo won’t want to leave when we go to pick him up! Highly recommend Deanna.”

“Victoria is a great communicator and kept us updated on how our Skipper was doing. She has a genuine deep love for animals which she readily shared with Skipper. Her two dogs are very friendly and accepting as well. They seemed to have welcomed Skipper into their pack. I would highly recommend Victoria.”

About: Lifelong dog lover and proud dog mom to my Australian Shepherd, Pepper 🐾 My home is calm, cozy, and very dog-friendly. I work from home, so your pup will get plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day—no long hours alone. I’m experienced with daily routines, walks, playtime, and making sure each dog feels comfortable and cared for. I’m happy to care for puppies (with all the patience and consistency they need!) as well as senior dogs who may need a gentler, more relaxed approach. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or prefers to cuddle and relax, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and right at home. I work from home most days, which allows me to give pets lots of attention and keep a consistent routine. I’m home Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and weekends, so your pet will have plenty of company throughout the day. On Wednesdays, I’m in the office, but I’m located very close to home and can easily come back for check-ins, walks, and care as needed. Overall, I have a flexible schedule and can adapt to your pet’s routine to make sure they’re comfortable, well cared for, and never left alone for long. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in a pet-friendly apartment on the main floor, which means quick and easy access to the outdoors for bathroom breaks and walks—no long waits or elevators needed. We’re also located near great off-leash parks and walking areas, perfect for getting in lots of exercise and fresh air (always based on your comfort level and your dog’s needs). Inside, my home is clean, calm, and set up to be a safe, cozy environment where your dog can relax and feel at home. I’m attentive, responsible, and always mindful of each dog’s routine, safety, and well-being.
“Sonya and her family took great care of my dog Stevie over 4 days, and provided lots of updates! Stevie looked right at home and was so sad and protesting when she had to leave!! I would recommend her services to all!”

“Very pleased with Audrey! Coco had a blast and will def be going there again. 💕 He made lots of friends and I loved the daily updates, pics and videos. Highly recommend. Thanks Audrey for taking care of our boy:) 🙏🏻”

About: We have a 13 lbs Shih Tzu who gets along great with most dogs. He is well loved and we would treat your dog the same. I work 8-3 but am off during the summer/ weekdays and holidays. Your dog would have lots of outdoor time and would be well cared for. My dog isn’t crated most days but is able to be. I would prefer to crate both dogs until the 2 became use to each other.
About: I've been walking dogs and sitting for cats for years now, so I've seen it all: the zoomies, the guilt-trip stares, the dramatic sighs when dinner is two minutes late. Dogs get walks matched to their vibe (chill stroll or full sprint, your call). Cats get the respect they clearly believe they're owed, plus their exact routine so nobody starts plotting revenge. Meds, anxiety, quirky habits — I've handled it all and I'm not easily rattled. Basically: your pet gets a sitter who actually knows what they're doing, and probably likes your animal more than most humans. Let's meet! I currently work 730-5pm schedule,Monday through Thursday. I can be free most evening and weekends to help you with your fur baby. I do drive and can take them to parks and swim spots. I offer in the clients home sitting for dogs but can take the kitties to my house :) but I can walk with pups anytime.
About: I've grown up with family dogs since I was 8. I've been volunteering for dog care for 6 years with the SPCA. I've raised and trained my own dog (Golden Retriever) from 8 weeks to now her being 1.5 years old and gets along with every person and animal she's ever met. Meet & Greet I prefer to do a meet and greet with every new client. We can do this at my house in my fenced back yard and we can get to know each other while your pup can play and run around with my dog. I work from home part-time so your pup will have plenty of attention throughout the day. We start mornings with breakfast and a walk around the neighbourhood before work. Lunch time we head to the off-leash park nearby to burn off energy and play to prepare for afternoon naps while I work. After work is supper and free play time however the pups want to enjoy themselves. On my flex days I'm home all day, so your dog will never be left alone for long and can enjoy a consistent, calm routine. Your dog’s safety and comfort come first. I have a fully fenced yard for supervised outdoor play, and I keep a close eye on all pups during their stay. I only host dogs that are friendly and socialized, ensuring a positive environment for everyone. My home is clean, dog-friendly, and filled with cozy spots for napping between adventures.

Loki, appears to have had a great time with his new friends. They were very accommodating to our needs and Loki absolutely enjoyed racing around in the back yard. We are extremely happy that he felt safe and we had a worry free trip knowing he was in great hands with the daily updates. Thank you

Nicole is amazing! My usually nervous dog warmed up to her immediately, and based on the photos/videos of all their adventures, I don’t think he missed me one bit :D. I would highly recommend booking with her if your pet is shy around new people, she’s truly great with dogs! 10/10

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
