About: Having professional experience in boarding/ daycare kennels allows me the ability to understand dog behavior and how to handle dogs of all temperaments. As well as pet sitting for family friends for years. Currently enrolled full time at Dalhousie and working part time, but have flexibility to accommodate your needs. This can be discussed further following a meet and greet. I treat the animals as though they were my own. Keeping in mind how I would want my own cat or dog to be treated if they were entrusted to another person's care.

I also am used to give medications and trimming nails. I am a flight attendant and work different hrs but there are time when I work maybe 5hrs a day. I get my schedule a month in advance. I would care for animals in the clients home. I beleive in positive reinforcement of the animal. I would make sure their home routine stays the same.

About: I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember! Growing up with cats, dogs, birds, and even turtles, I was always surrounded by furry (and feathered) friends. My love for horses led me to the pony club, where I learned how to care for them and even competed. In the early 2000s, while living in Austin, I had the unique privilege of house- and cat-sitting for the dean of liberal arts at UT. He had eight cats, and every year when he traveled to the UK, I happily moved in as their temporary but devoted caretaker. Over the years, I’ve jumped at any chance to look after friends’ pets—both cats and dogs—because, honestly, hanging out with animals never feels like a chore. These days, my husband and I are often asked to house- and dog-sit for friends in Halifax, which is always a treat. I love keeping a tidy home, making sure pets get plenty of exercise (extra walks if they’re up for it!), and ensuring they get all the love and care they need. I’m also experienced with administering medication and even whipping up special homemade meals for pups with refined palates. Caring for animals has always been a joy, and I love the connections I’ve made along the way—both human and four-legged. Fun fact: As a kid, I tried to start a dog-walking business and passed out hundreds of flyers in my neighborhood. Unfortunately, dog-walking wasn’t really a thing back then, and the only call I got was from a lady… who had a cat! I work part-time remotely from home, so I have plenty of time to care for house pets, go for walks, and I am up at the crack of dawn most days. I love a healthy routine, and keeping things organized and tidy. Whether I'm caring for a pet in my home or anyone else's, I like to follow the routine that works for everyone when it comes to exercise and feeding. When it comes to dealing with emergencies, I'm pretty chill, and I always check-in with the pet/home owner before any major purchases or vet visits.

About: Hi! I am a Law student at Dalhousie who would love to help with all your pet-related needs. I love going on long walks, hanging out in parks, and spending as much time as I can outside - which would be even better with a dog (I am missing mine from home)! I grew up with a small poodle in my family for most of my life, alongside lots of other pets (hamsters, guinea pigs, fish, hermit crabs), and just adopted a puppy with my family at home, so I am happy to look after a pet of any shape or size! I am also comfortable administering medications (oral / injected) through experience caring for my family dog in her older years. I live in a house of 4 animal-loving students, with a yard and located just a block away from The Commons and close to some off-leash dog parks, so your pet would be able to make lots of visits to play! I can accommodate up to two dogs, but would prefer to look after just one pet (cat/dog/other) at a time to provide maximum care and attention. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions :) I’m a full-time student, but am very flexible around classes. I am free Monday afternoons, Thursday mornings and afternoons, and flexible Friday and on weekends, and I would love to care for your furry friends during these free times! As I typically only accept one pet (or household of pets) at a time, I aim to give my greatest attention to your pets to ensure their safety and happiness! I want your pets to feel at home, even in my house, so they are welcome to make themselves comfortable wherever they feel best.

About: I’ve owned and cared for many dogs and cats over the years and have experience taking care of dogs, cats and parrots! I’m currently a college student that works part time but I have a car and am always willing to hang out with some furry friends! I usually walk my dog in the morning and evening while maintaining a strict feeding schedule. I tend to take my dog for adventures to then come home and cuddle with my cat. As mentioned before, I walk my dog at least twice a day and maintain his feeding schedule while my cat is more of a free grazer. When pet sitting I ensure I follow the given instructions even if interfering with other schedules! Your pets are my upmost priority as are my own pets!

About: I have owned my own dogs that I have groomed myself and taken care of for years. When fostering dogs, we are required to maintain their grooming and other health needs. My schedule is extremely flexible, as I work shift work as a youth care worker. I have a lot of time during the daytime to check in on, walk, and feed your dogs as needs require. I have a fenced in backyard with no other pets. We have 2 couches that we all the dogs to sit on, as well as my bed. Can crate your dogs if needed. Always walk dogs on leash.
