Here's what I can offer: * Pet care in your home, where your fur baby feels most comfortable, adapted to their existing routine of feeding, playtime, and exercise. * Drop-in visits (30 minutes or more) which will include feeding, playtime, and companionship depending on your pet's need. I can also provide cage cleaning for little critters, if needed! Note that for dogs, I can include a walk within the drop-in at no extra charge! * Dog walking on a 1-1 basis (only your animal will be on the walk with me) going at their pace in an area they're familiar with. This will include pick-up from and drop-off at your home. I have extensive petsitting experience, including; * 6 years of in-home petsitting, dog walking and animal care experience. * Recent Federal Government background checks and a valid 'Reliability' security Clearance. Since I started petsitting in 2021, I've cared for dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments; everything from a Chihuahua to a couple of 125lb Great Danes, which included frequent walking, feeding and playtime! I also have experience with small animals, reptiles and fish! I work full-time for a Tech company based in downtown Halifax and am fortunate to have a very flexible schedule that provides plenty of opportunity for pet care. I've looked after young and senior animals of all sizes and temperaments; including reactive animals and those that pose a flight risk. I also have past experience with administering oral and injected medications. * Fully vaccinated (4x mRNA shots) * Canadian Citizen * RCMP Police check completed * Government of Canada 'Reliability' clearance obtained. * Non-smoker. Excellent petsitting references available on request! Growing up on a hobby farm (sheep, horses, and a couple of pot belly pigs) feeding and care for animals was part of my daily chores. Dad was a Veterinary Surgeon (large and small animal), so I frequently joined him on calls and helped out at the surgery. We were also fortunate enough to own a Golden Retriever for 16 years, during which time I was primarily responsible for her care and exercise. I'm currently employed full-time as a Product Manager (Information Technology) with a flexible hybrid work schedule. Employed full-time, I have excellent personal and professional references, full background checks, and valid Government of Canada 'Reliability' clearance.

Ross is always great house sitting with my dog Frodo. We love his updates as they are very “day in the life” and not super posed. He is great with communication on the day to day and also with letting you know if he notices any behaviour changes. Frodo always seems like he had a great time when we return home.
Ross was very communicative and gave us peace of mind when having to go out of town and leave our 5 month old puppy and 2 cats!
We are repeat customers of Ross and can’t say enough good about him. He is professional, responsive and great company for my very anxious dog. He administered my dog’s medications as directed, and provided lots of updates throughout the stay. I really feel like I can trust and count on Ross - those who have an anxious pet will know how valuable that is! I would absolutely recommend Ross to anyone who is looking for a pet sitter.
Ross was great at communicating with us during his first stay with Pownal and sent updates a couple of times a day which we appreciated. The house was also in tip top shape on our return which was also greatly appreciated.

Schedule
I work full-time for a Tech company based in Halifax, NS, Canada. My flexible schedule gives me plenty of time to care for and play with the animals I'm looking after.
