“I had an amazing experience with Ben! We just got our rescue pup about 7 weeks ago, a Hugh energy terrier from Texas. I’ve never used Rover before, and when searching for a potential sitter, it was very important to me to have someone with both rescue experience and small dog energy experience. Ben replied very quickly to my initial request! He fit all of the boxes of what I was looking for and also has a terrier rescue. I was nervous when starting the booking process but Ben talked me through it, and I immediately felt assured. It was a last minute need, and he was very accommodating, very kind and very responsive to any questions I had. Joey had the best time there! Ben kept me up to date on their adventures, and sent lots of pics (which I love). For me, communication and accessibility was key, and I would recommend Ben 1000 times over just based on this one interaction. Had such a great experience, that I’m already in the process of booking another overnight stay with Ben.”

About: I grew up on a farm so I have been taking care of animals of all shapes and sizes since I was small. We have always had dogs and cats around the house and the farm and we learned the importance for caring for and loving animals. I have always been the go-to pet sitter for my friends and neighbours. More recently, I have taken care of a whole litter of puppies while my friend was away on vacation. My passion for animals has sparked me getting a dog of my own which has led me to experience all the joys that come along with puppies and dogs in general. About: Despite what newbs say, caring for cats is very different than dogs (don't fight me, I will die on this hill!). I understand their needs to interact is on their terms and it's all about boundaries! I also believe in daily cat enrichment and scooping their tootsie rolls out of the little box everyday. From housesitting so your cat doesn't feel lonely but doesn't want attention to working with a cat on my lap, I'm your person. I am also happy to send update photos of their life while you're gone! “We were visiting Nova Scotia from NE Ohio. We were staying in Amherst Shore but visiting the Halifax area and Peggy’s Cove for a day. We couldn’t leave the pup in the camper for that long but needed somewhere for him for a few hours while we went to the Maritime museum. Everything worked out perfectly from drop off to pick up. I felt very comfortable leaving him with Emily and he seemed very happy and comfortable when we picked him up. If we are ever back in the area would definitely consider leaving him with her again.”

About: We've recently had to say goodbye to our adored 16 year old Miniature Dachshund and our family of four is seeking to share our home and love with other dogs. I am available to care for your dog during the day as I am not working and our two older children are in school. I am often not away from the house for more than 1 -2 hours at a time and I love spending time outdoors. We live in a pet friendly neighbourhood with sidewalks and easy access to both paved and wooded paths near the lake for lots of walks. While our backyards is not fully fenced, we do have a walkout deck and private grassy and wooded area for play and supervised breaks. About: Hi, we’re Hayley and Lucy! We recently moved to Halifax and are offering pet care in HRM. We are proud pet parents to our two cats, Waluigi and Tiggy. We have almost 20 years of combined experience caring for pets, including cats, dogs, and small animals. About: From my first family cat at age 3, to the German Shepherd I rescued and I trained to win two 4-H County Obediance Championships, to the two wonderful cats my kids and I adopted from the SPCA, I've spent my whole life loving and caring for cats and dogs, and I look forward to caring for and loving yours:) As a full-time high school Music and English teacher, I'm currently available late afternoons, evenings and weekends. But in the summer, I will have much more availability. My teenagers are old enough to stay home on their own, so short-term house sitting and overnight pet care are also possible for me. I'm not able to care for pets in my home, as I have two cats that may not appreciate animal vistors. However, I can visit your home, and possibly stay overnight short term.

“I had an amazing experience with Ben! We just got our rescue pup about 7 weeks ago, a Hugh energy terrier from Texas. I’ve never used Rover before, and when searching for a potential sitter, it was very important to me to have someone with both rescue experience and small dog energy experience. Ben replied very quickly to my initial request! He fit all of the boxes of what I was looking for and also has a terrier rescue. I was nervous when starting the booking process but Ben talked me through it, and I immediately felt assured. It was a last minute need, and he was very accommodating, very kind and very responsive to any questions I had. Joey had the best time there! Ben kept me up to date on their adventures, and sent lots of pics (which I love). For me, communication and accessibility was key, and I would recommend Ben 1000 times over just based on this one interaction. Had such a great experience, that I’m already in the process of booking another overnight stay with Ben.”

About: I grew up on a farm so I have been taking care of animals of all shapes and sizes since I was small. We have always had dogs and cats around the house and the farm and we learned the importance for caring for and loving animals. I have always been the go-to pet sitter for my friends and neighbours. More recently, I have taken care of a whole litter of puppies while my friend was away on vacation. My passion for animals has sparked me getting a dog of my own which has led me to experience all the joys that come along with puppies and dogs in general. I would be so happy to meet your lovely pet and get the chance to take care of them for a bit! I’m currently working full time as a teacher but I am free after school hours and on weekend to take care of your fur baby! About: I am a reliable sitter that has cared for many breeds of dogs. Animals have always been my passion and I love to lend a helping hand. I also have a sweet golden of my own and everyday spent with her is a joy. I am living in Middleton during the week for work but would love to look after your furry friends on weekends so you can get out and enjoy. I have a friendly golden who loves other dogs so if you want some socializing for your dog she is a perfect playmate. Can walk your dogs alone or with my golden. I live in a house with a large fully fenced in backyard off a dead end quiet street. I have a golden retriever who is very friendly and loves all dogs so it would be fun if your pet is looking for a companion to play with. If you prefer your dog to be cared for alone, that is also not a problem.
