Hey, I’m Kaya! I’m an English teacher and part-time organic landscaping/gardener. I’m lucky to have a flexible schedule that lets me care for your pets, too. I teach online from home Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and I’m on-site Tuesday and Thursday — just a quick 3-minute drive away. My classes are short (2.5 hours, twice a day), so your pet gets lots of attention: a solid morning walk, a midday visit (with playtime or an ocean loop), and a longer walk in the afternoon. My partner, Patrick, and I live in a cozy bungalow on a quiet street, just steps from the ocean, with easy access to wooded trails. We have an unfenced yard with a safe leash setup for quick breaks during the day, and we love getting out for fresh-air adventures together. We’re also happy to offer evening walks or jogs after 5pm—perfect for active fuzzbuds who need an extra outing. If you’re planning a trip, we’d love to be your pet’s home away from home. You can expect lots of care, cuddles, and calm, attentive energy, so you can travel worry-free.

Absolutely wonderful !! I worked our of town for a week and left my dog with Kelly. She took great care of my dog with walking feeding and playing . She sent a couple pictures and was very easy to communicate with. No issues at all and if i have another trip out of town She will be first on my list to take care of my pooch ! Kelly was terrific with my dog Hippo. He stayed overnight for several days and she took excellent care of him. She was an excellent communicator. She took him on walks and adventures, above and beyond. She even took my pet sitting request on short notice when my original Rover sitter cancelled last minute. Finding her was our lucky day! Highly recommend Kelly (and Patrick).

Kaya is more than awesome with pets. She's like a whisperer and understands animals and cares so deeply for them. She's taken care of my little lab for years now... and Kaya is one of Poppy's absolute favourite humans. Your pet will be happy with her!

Programa
I can be available during the work week (with drop-off before 8:30am). I teach online classes during the day, but can always offer an early morning/lunch break walk, afternoon yard breaks, and a longer 4:30 trail walk.

I care for pets in a calm, safe, and welcoming home environment. Feel free to drop your pet off for an overnight stay, or book them in for longer while you travel worry-free!! I can also do house checks or evening walks!
Un día normal
If you're dropping off for day care, we'll be hanging out in a bright sunny bungalow with windows, yoga mats, cozy blankets, and a front porch. We'll do a morning walk (if dropped off before 8:30), 25 min walk at 11:30, and a 40 min at 4:30pm. If I'm sitting on the weekend, we'll hop in the car and go on beach/forest adventures, depending on weather and your preferences.
