“Nancy was so lovely and took amazing care of our two dogs! Appreciated her beautiful photos of them and that she was so understanding of their quirks and needs. We will definitely book with her again!”

“We truly found the best care for our dog Sully with Deanna. His care was second to none, she kept us updated with messages & photos & you could just see how relaxed he was. We cannot wait to rebook with her in the future for Sully!”

“Renita and Jerry are wonderful people who clearly love dogs and love taking care of them! We left Joey with them for over a week, which felt like a really long time, but Joey settled in quickly and seemed to really enjoy his stay. He was well cared for, exercised regularly, spoiled and loved, which was totally fine with us! She sent pictures every day of some of the things Joey was up to. This really put our minds at ease knowing he was happy and being cared for. We would highly recommend Renita to look after your pup! Thanks Renita!”

“Rebecca took great care of Nash during his stay and was very flexible and accommodating for some of his extra needs following dental surgery. It is clear that Nash got lots of exercise and was well loved during his stay. We would highly recommend Rebecca and her family :)”

“Megan is the best! Our big dog George has an amazing time there with their dog, Sunny. We’ve had multiple stays now and it’s always a good experience, we get lots of photos and we feel like they love George like their own!”

“Ruck was an amazing sitter for my dog Bailey while I was travelling for a week. His dog Blue and Bailey were great buddies and he was beyond accomodating with my last minute request for a sitter after my plans fell through with another sitter. He sent updates throughout my trip and when I got back late from the airport to a dead car battery he was able to bring Bailey home to me that night! I would highly recommend him to anyone and I hope to be able to leave Bailey in his capable hands the next time I’m travelling 🙂”

“Heidi was amazing, she kept me informed of our yorkie (DORA) every day who stayed with her for a week. I highly recommend her. DORA will be happy to stay with heidi when we are busy or away. Thanks Heidi for taking care of our precious little princess”

“Kara was amazing! She sent photos every day of my dog and Oswald just loved her! She took care of him when he got an upset stomach and was so kind and generous 10/10 would contact again!!”
“Thank you so much! Charli had a great week with you. The photo and video updates were very much appreciated from this apprehensive ‘dog mom’. Meeting you at the ‘meet and greet’ was super helpful and very reassuring. Thanks Alisa.”

About: We have a 13 lbs Shih Tzu who gets along great with most dogs. He is well loved and we would treat your dog the same. I work 8-3 but am off during the summer/ weekdays and holidays. Your dog would have lots of outdoor time and would be well cared for. My dog isn’t crated most days but is able to be. I would prefer to crate both dogs until the 2 became use to each other.
“Jennifer was absolutely amazing with taking care of Winnie! She sent several updates throughout the day. Winnie had a great time. Couldn’t ask for a better sitter for my dog! Will definitely book with Jennifer in the future :)”

“Emily and her family were amazing with our Coco Bear. We were looking for a family-based home for our boy while we were in Newfoundland for our family vaca. Emily. her husband and children went above and beyond and even had a birthday party for Coco while we were away! Highly recommend Emily! 💕 Huge animal lover and it was very evident how much she loves animals. 💗 Thanks so much!”

About: I’m a cat-only Rover sitter offering both boarding and drop-in visits in Bedford. I’ve been a cat owner for over 3 years, and I truly understand that cats need patience, consistency, and a calm environment to feel safe. I respect each cat’s personality and boundaries — whether they’re affectionate, independent, or shy. I don’t force interaction, and I follow your cat’s usual routine as closely as possible so they can stay comfortable while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I plan my schedule around feedings, litter box cleaning, and check-ins, and I’m home regularly to provide consistent care, monitoring, and calm companionship. I care for pets by following their usual routine as closely as possible. In my home, I provide a quiet, clean, cat-only environment with regular feeding, litter box cleaning, and gentle companionship based on each cat’s comfort level. In my client’s home, I focus on feeding, refreshing water, cleaning the litter box, checking on behavior and appetite, and sharing photo updates. I always respect a cat’s boundaries and prioritize safety, cleanliness, and consistency.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs in my household since I was a baby. I have experience with dog sitting and walking dogs, for family and friend aswell. I also have a yellow lab who’s almost 2. I’m a full time shift worker, I have plenty of time on day 4 days off. I have time for walks as well as 3 night for inhome boarding. I love to be outside as much as possible for my days off. Very flexible with following your dogs needs. I work with your dog to provide the most comfort for them. Following basic commands on walks, getting familiar with how comfortable they are with new surroundings. I want your dog to feel welcomed in my space, and to feel safe when going on a walk.
About: I have my own 5 year old, 18lb Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso mix named Ruby. We love to be outside and playing at the nearby green space. I’m currently not back at work until August 28th so I am available 24/7. Starting September 3rd, I am home daily at 3:30 from work and available to do dog walks and house visits Monday-Friday. Weekends available all day/evening for boarding, walking, and/or visits. I have a fairly large home with one 18lb friendly and playful dog ( Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso). A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
