About: I am fear-free certified and currently employed at a shelter as part of our dog behaviour team. I have been involved in the shelter world since September 2023, and have had experience working in the dog care field since October 2022. Previously a groomer, some of you may already know me. I went through a 1.5 year long program where I learned about dog health, development, training, behaviour, and so much more. I have experience with a wide range of dogs — behavioural concerns, sizes, medical concerns, and all ages. I’m very experienced with fearful dogs (including fear-aggression), resource guarders, reactive dogs, dog-to-dog interactions, high-arousal, and more. I can offer training sessions and even small grooming tasks such as nail trims and brush outs, thanks to my nearly 3 years experience as a dog groomer! Available in Cochrane only. My work schedule is rotating so there is a solid likelihood I would be able to stay with your pets all day, depending on when your booking falls! At the moment my typical shift is early in the morning to roughly 3:30-4pm. If a booking falls during my 4-days off, I’d be with your pets all day, giving them the attention and care they deserve. Otherwise, I’d be spending the early morning, afternoon, and evening with them. As mentioned, I have a lot of experience with a very wide range of dogs, meaning I can navigate the needs of many dogs with ease. With my knowledge in behaviour and training, I will ensure your dog feels as safe as possible and keep their brains stimulated with training, productive play, enrichment, and of course lots of love. If your dog has niche needs, I can accommodate them! Knowing that dogs thrive off of consistent routines, I do my best to stick as close as possible to their typical at-home routines with you in order to help them feel comfortable during the time you’re gone. Missing their people is hard enough — I don’t want to turn their lives upside down too! I can be reached easily and am happy to send lots of photo or video updates of your pups.

About: I've lived in households with pets for most of my life, and have also worked in shelters for both dogs and cats. I am confident I am the kind of person you're looking for. I just finished my first degree and am preparing to take the law school entrance exam; whenever your pets need care, I will be there. I have a yard and also pay attention whenever pets are around; if I'm over to help you, I will do any sort of thing you need, and if your pets are over here, I will guarantee they will always have water and will be let out whenever necessary.
About: Throughout my life, I've been immersed in the world of animals, surrounded by dogs, cats, rabbits, and even horses. My passion for animals led me to pursue a bachelor's degree in agriculture with a focus on animal science, delving deep into behaviors and genetics specific to cats and dogs. Following my studies, I spent two years as an animal control officer in Saskatoon, where I enforced both animal control bylaw and dangerous animal bylaws, gaining invaluable experience with a diverse group of animals. This role also taught me patience and how to react in different situations, further enhancing my ability to care for and manage animals effectively. Additionally, I developed practical skills such as syringe feeding and administering medications to both cats and dogs, enhancing my commitment to the welfare and well-being of all animals. I am currently unemployed for the next two months as I am attending Farrier school in the new year, so I am currently available whenever to care for your loved ones when you're at work or taking a vacation. I have experience with a variety of different cats and dogs. I am an active individual willing to take your pet on long walks or play in the backyard. I know how to stay calm in stressful situations and have a lot of patients when needed. I used to be in nursing school and was a continuing care assistant for over a year, So I am confident in administering or giving medications to your pets and proper clean up if your animal has an accident. I have strong communication skills, so I will always keep you updated and send lots of pictures of your fur baby to you if you want.

Weekends are fully available I give lots of love and make sure your pets are getting the best care possible. I will always listen to instructions and touch base about walks and outside time.
About: My pet care experience started 10 years ago - my dad took me to his best friends house and they told me their dog loved going on adventures but they weren’t able to get out much. From there I started pickup him up for walks and hikes, and eventually I ended up pet sitting a bunch of different times. My favourite memory was when he hopped the fence and ran next door and waited for me at the basement suite door because he knew I was cleaning it. We became inseparable! Eventually I got my own dog, became friends with a dog trainer and have spent so many hours working and learning as much as I can about dogs. My kiddo is a little older and now I’d love to offer services to others. I work remotely taking clients so I am available most days of the week t take care of your furry friends! We have lots of green space at nearby parks for decompressing and sniffing and live in a great neighbourhood for dog walks. I have a fully fenced yard, as well as a fenced dog run. Inside the house I do require dogs to be crate trained for overnights. I offer dogs clear communication and structure in my home, with a guarantee their needs will be met. One of my best friends is a dog trainer and I work heavily with my own dog to ensure needs like prey drive (play) and pack drive are met. As well as plenty of time to decompress.
“Deborah is very personable and definitely shows her love of dogs. Both the girls liked her and she took great care of them. They had a great walk. She send great pictures of the girls for us. She let us know when she arrived and when she left. If we were local we would definitely use her again.”

“Thank you so much Amber! Our pup Phoenix had such a good walk with Amber the last two days! She also fed Phoenix for us because we wouldn't be home for dinner. We definitely recommend booking Amber for dog walking!”

About: As a family of six we ran a dog boarding care facility for over a decade. Fur babies have been our companions for most our lives. We enjoy outdoor exercise time with dogs. The company of a pet while relaxing at home is second to none. Life is only as good as the company you keep. We are a stay at home business owning family. With 6 of us and our friends and family coming or going throughout the day there is someone almost always home. Our boys are 22, 20 and 18 years and our daughter is now 9 years of age. We love cuddles and outdoor walks/jogs with dogs. Over night stays welcome or Pawsitive Pet Playcare! We are happy to accommodate your regular routine so your pet care is consistent while you are away. In Summer 2023, we welcomed a Yorkshire terror into our family. She’s been fun. Seen as dogs come with various personalities and traits we will enjoy getting to know your dog and socializing yours with ours. We can separate our dog from yours if necessary. If your dog is allowed to be on couch or bed we can accommodate that at our home.
“Melissa is amazing! Definitely recommend her for your dog walking/sitting needs. She walked my dog, Finn and sent me updates about where they walked and also sent pictures which was really nice and reassuring! Your dog will be in great hands with her :)”

About: Ever since i was a kid i loved helping others. I started out babysitting and then it went to pet care! I have lived in Cochrane all my life. I dog walk for multiple families here in Cochrane and I even have a pup of my own. She’s a teacup yorkie weighing in at 4 lbs and she’s my favourite thing in the entire world. I promise to care for your animals as much as I do my own. I am a full time student at MRU for Education and I do work outside of school. My schedule has gaps and openings for quick drop ins or even daily walks. Weekends I work as well but only a few hours so it makes it easy to tend to your animals with the utmost care. I love going on walks with my pup at home. To switch things up we love to go to the dog park and hangout with other dogs so she can be active and able to make friends! My dog is very timid and scared around other dogs so i understand being protective and attentive.
