I volunteered for several years at the humane society, walking dogs daily and working closely with cats to help them feel safe and socialized. In Cochrane, I’m an adoptions counsellor, matching families with their perfect pets. At home, I’ve cared for my own exotic birds for years and of course I have my own little dog, Hanna, (who was the very first client I took out for walks!). I’ve also ridden horses for many years and currently have a rehab horse I’m gently nursing back to health. I absolutely adore all pets especially senior animals and have lots of experience providing the extra patience, gentle care, and attention they need (Hanna is a senior but still thinks she’s a pup…), whether it’s helping with mobility, or just offering quiet companionship. This diverse background equips me with skills in puppy socialization, basic training, senior care, and even unique pets like birds or horses.
