More than a walk—a peace of mind
What sets me apart is my focus on personalized, low-stress walks tailored to your pup’s needs—whether it’s a gentle stroll for seniors or energetic play for puppies plus real-time updates. I volunteered for several years at the humane society, walking dogs daily and working closely with cats to help them feel safe and socialized. In Cochrane, I’m an adoptions counsellor, matching families with their perfect pets. At home, I’ve cared for my own exotic birds for years and of course I have my own little dog, Hanna, (who was the very first client I took out for walks!). I’ve also ridden horses for many years and currently have a rehab horse I’m gently nursing back to health. I absolutely adore all pets especially senior animals and have lots of experience providing the extra patience, gentle care, and attention they need (Hanna is a senior but still thinks she’s a pup…), whether it’s helping with mobility, or just offering quiet companionship. This diverse background equips me with skills in puppy socialization, basic training, senior care, and even unique pets like birds or horses. I love building trust with every animal and their owner, no matter their age or needs! So, I can’t wait to meet yours :)

Your pet’s safety and happiness come first. In your home I follow your instructions exactly for feeding, routines, playtime, and any special needs. I double-check doors and gates, provide lots of attention and cuddles, and keep everything secure. I treat your home with respect—tidy on arrival, tidier when I leave! You’ll get regular photo updates so you can relax and have that peace of mind you deserve! With my shelter, adoption, and personal animal experience, I’m calm, reliable, and great at helping pets feel safe and loved in their familiar space. Happy to chat about your pet’s needs!

I couldn’t recommend Maja enough. She is such a sweet, kind hearted, and such a thoughtful young woman. She was so gentle and kind to my pups. I’m always hesitant to have new people watch my fur babies but that quickly went away when she was with my doggos. She takes time, doesn’t rush to get in and out for visits, actually stayed and spent time with my pups and gave them plenty of love and treats. She gave me lots of updates throughout the stay and made me feel comfortable knowing I didn’t have to worry. Highly recommend! 🫶🏽
Maja is a lovely warm person who really seemed to care about my two dogs. She was on time for arrival. Walked the dogs as I asked and sent lots of pictures. She asked appropriate questions and was very open to my requests. I would definitely recommend Maja for caring for your pets
I am very happy with Maja’s work. She is kind, responsible, and truly cares about animals. Communication with her is very easy and always clear. Maja always tries to fit into my busy schedule and is very flexible, which helps a lot. My dog loves her and feels comfortable with her. As a busy mom, having Maja’s help is a huge support for our whole household. I strongly recommend her.
Knowing Maja for a long time, (7+ years!) I've seen first-hand the love and passion she has all animals, let alone just dogs! She loves to research all the proper ways to take care of them, and also loves a good challenge and won't back down on an opportunity to get along with dogs who may be a little difficult. She has also volunteered and worked at animal shelters and gets along with dogs well with her patient and kind nature, as well as ensuring boundaries are respected.
Maja has been amazing with my senior dog. She is calm, patient, and very attentive, which makes a big difference with an older dog. She is always mindful of his pace and comfort during walks. She’s also a pleasure to deal with — always positive, friendly, and easy to communicate with. I feel completely at ease knowing my dog is in her care. I would highly recommend Maja to anyone looking for a reliable and genuinely caring dog walker, especially for senior dogs.

Schedule
As a university student, I’m reliably available in the evenings for visits or walks. On a given day, I can also fit in early morning walks if that works best for your pet’s schedule, I’m very flexible!
