About: I lived with a friend on a hobby farm. She showed me the ropes. I learned how to take care of all animals big and small. I am willing and able to assist in medicine administration. I have tons of free time that I’d love to dedicate to ensuring your furry friend has their needs through the day and even when you’re on vacation I work full time in the city and I hardly ever leave the province and can dedicate as much time needed with your fur babies as you need! I’m very good with early mornings and late night visits. I won’t have pets in my home as I have a cat myself, but I will ensure I know where all food, treats, toys and everything else they require before you leave. I will ask for an emergency response plan in the event I need to get ahold of you asap. I also have my own reliable transportation and will ask for the vet you use in dire emergencies. I will also supervise play time as I know how quick everything can go sideways. I also am very clean, if there’s a mess from your pet, it’ll be cleaned. And I have no problem cleaning litter boxes as well.

About: We welcome only one family’s dog(s) at a time, so your pup enjoys a calm, personalized stay with our family in a peaceful home setting. My retired parents love having dogs around and are home throughout the day, so your dog has plenty of company, care, and attention. Your pup is rarely left alone. We know every dog is different, so we take the time to learn their routine, personality, and what helps them feel comfortable. Our goal is for your dog to feel safe, relaxed and at home while you’re away. I know leaving your dog with someone new can be nerve wracking. I’m always happy to do a meet & greet before the first stay. You’ll also receive regular photo and video updates, so you can relax knowing your dog is happy, comfortable, and well cared for. My parents are both retired and genuinely love having dogs around the house. Between my parents and me, there’s almost always someone home, so your dog will have plenty of company throughout the day. We also only take a small number of dogs at a time because we want each one to get plenty of attention and feel comfortable here, not just be one of many. We have a large, fully fenced yard where dogs can safely run and play, along with plenty of cozy spots inside. We also back onto a park, so walks are easy and there’s always something new to explore.

About: I have a 2 year old silver dapple dachshund at home named Rupert who’s my little boy! My husband and I have fostered dogs in the past but figured this would be a nice way to help people out and get to meet new dogs in the area. Our little guy is super friendly and outgoing with other pets/people and gets walked 3 times a day! If your dog isn't super fond of other dogs we also have ways of separating them. I work as a full time photographer so I work from home most of the time and would be with the dogs able to supervise them for their entire visit. I currently work full time from home so I'm able to watch your pup 24/7 and keep on top of walking and playing with them! I take my dog on 3 walks a day and out every 2 hours for a bathroom break. Dogs are allowed to roam freely through my house and are aloud on my couch! I have a big park across the street from my house where I talk my own dog for walks.

About: I am passionate about supporting pet parents in my community by providing a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for your fur babies while you are away. Animals have always been a massive part of my life, and I treat every pet I care for exactly as I would treat my own. I bring a wealth of hands-on experience to every walk and drop-in. For nearly seven years, I’ve cared for my own dog, alongside my husband’s dog, and have looked after pets of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments, from playful litters of puppies to gentle giants weighing over 100 lbs. Beyond my personal experience, I spent a year volunteering at a humane society. This time allowed me to dive deep into professional dog caretaking, walking, feeding, enrichment, and socialization, especially for dogs with unique behavioral needs, anxiety, or high energy. I also currently work as an Animal Care Specialist at the Cochrane & Area Humane Society <3 I understand that every animal has an individual personality, specific boundaries, and unique preferences. Whether your pet is an energetic pup who loves to play, or a quiet, anxious soul who needs a patient, soft-spoken approach, I pride myself on respecting their pace and making them feel secure. I am highly observant, exceptional at following detailed care instructions, and dedicated to keeping your dog safe and happy. I can’t wait to learn more about and meet you and your furry bestie 🤍 I currently work part-time and don’t begin my new position until June 3rd, so I have a lot of flexibility and availability throughout the week right now. My current shifts also vary, which allows me to be available during many daytime hours for walks, check-ins, daycare, or pet sitting. Going forward, I am looking for a new job with more consistent 9–5 hours, but I still plan to continue pet care because working with animals is something I genuinely enjoy. I’m used to building my schedule around pets’ needs, including feeding routines, walks, playtime, socialization, and giving them lots of attention and companionship. I care for pets as if they were my own family members and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, loved, and well cared for at all times. Whether I’m in my home or a client’s home, I follow their normal routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, bathroom breaks, medications if needed, and lots of affection and attention. I also make sure pets receive plenty of enrichment, exercise, and companionship based on their individual personality and energy level. I understand how important it is for pets to feel secure while their owners are away, so I always aim to create a calm, loving, and positive environment for them.

About: Currently studying Veterinary Medicine at the University of Calgary. I’ve grown up around animals of my own my whole life while living rurally - ranging from bunnies, to chickens, to cats and dogs and goats - so in terms of pets of my own, I have lots of experience with a variety of animals. I’ve also spent the last 4 years gaining experience as a Veterinary Assistant, where I’ve gained valuable skills such as medication administration, prescription diet maintenance, and proper animal handling & body language training. Through clinic experience, I’ve cared for cats and dogs, and have also been lucky enough to become comfortable with birds, cows, horses, and sheep. I understand that all pets are different, and I am happy to say that one of my strengths is adjusting how I handle, play with, feed, and care for a pet depending on what is best for their personality. I’d love to spend time with animals of all sorts while I’m in the city for school, so I’d be happy to take care of a furry friend when it’s needed :) While I am both a full time student and part time Veterinary Assistant, I’ve created a schedule that allows for me to dedicate a few days of the week to pet sitting. I am currently in a basement suite that does not allow pets. That being said, I live in a nice neighborhood with a nearby park that is great for fetch!

About: Experienced with large breeds and multi-dog households, including German Shepherds, Pit Bulls, and Great Danes. Whether your dog is a couch cuddler or a 120-pound chaos machine, I’m comfortable handling it all. I’ve cared for dogs for weeks at a time, including walks, feeding, medications, playtime, and daily routines, so drop-in visits and regular walks are no problem. I also regularly care for my brother’s German Shepherd, so I’m very comfortable with strong, high-energy dogs and giving them the attention, patience, and care they deserve. As a flight attendant, my schedule gives me flexibility during the week, which makes pet care easy to fit into my routine. On my days off, I have plenty of time for walks, drop-in visits, feeding routines, playtime, and giving pets the attention they deserve. I’m also very organized and used to managing schedules and routines professionally, so reliability, communication, and punctuality are extremely important to me, both in aviation and in caring for your pets. I care for every pet as if they were my own and always try to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. In a client’s home, I follow all feeding schedules, walk routines, medication instructions, and any specific care requests closely while also making sure pets get plenty of attention, playtime, and affection. I’m experienced with both high-energy dogs and more independent cats, so I adapt to each pet’s personality and comfort level. Cleanliness, safety, and communication are also very important to me, and I always make sure owners feel updated and reassured while they’re away.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bragg Creek choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 89% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 93% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
