“Our dog had another wonderful stay with Amber! We were provided updates throughout her stay including photos and videos. Thanks Amber for allowing us to be worry free while we are away! Highly recommend & Sadie looks forward to her next visit.”

“This was our first time leaving Piper with a sitter who wasn't family. I did a meet and greet beforehand with Stephanie which helped put my mind at ease as the space was great and could see Stephanie genuinely cared for the dogs in her care. Will definitely use Stephanie in the future as needed.”

“Scott and Carly were amazing. They were very communicative and flexible from start to finish. Our dog came back very happy and relaxed (as relaxed as a chihuahua can be). We will definitely be rebooking with them again!”

“Amazing boarding experience by a loving family! It was Jimmy’s first time staying overnight, and Hongxiang’s family made sure he was well-socialized with other dogs at the house, and settled in comfortably. Will definitely book again! Thank you so much”

“Teddy had such an amazing time with Laura-Lynn! He had such an action-packed day with walks, and was so tired when he got home. Laura-Lynn provided great updates during the day, with lots of pictures! Teddy is definitely excited for his next stay here 😁”

“I found ourselves needing a dog sitter on very short notice, and couldn't have been luckier to find her. From the moment we connected, she was kind, professional, and incredibly accommodating. She has a genuine love for dogs, and it showed in the care and attention she gave to my pup. What really stood out was her experience and specialization with senior dogs. She was patient, understanding, and attentive to my dog's unique needs, which gave me complete peace of mind while away. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and It's clear that caring for animals is more than just a job for her—it's a passion. We received updates, knew our dog was being well cared for, and came home to a happy, relaxed pup. dog sitter, especially if you have a senior dog. I will absolutely be using her services again in the future!”

“Huge thanks to Eunmee for looking after my dog, Tang Dou, while I was away. She was incredibly attentive, gave me timely updates, and shared plenty of photos and videos. I could truly relax and enjoy my holiday knowing Tang Dou was in such caring hands. Highly recommended!”

“Our two Havanese had a wonderful time at Tracy’s. They played with her dogs and enjoyed their daily walks too. Tracy keep us informed with notes and pictures every day and we could tell that they were being well taken care of. We highly recommend Tracy and would have our pups stay there again anytime.”

“Our 5-year-old Pippin was a happy camper during his first holiday at Sandra’s and Jessie’s. He had, of course, met both of them at the ‘meet and greet’ at their home, but what really surprised us was how excited he was when we dropped him off. He knew precisely where we had taken him and he raced up their front steps and started barking with excitement at the front door. Clearly, Sandra and Jessie and their very sweet dog Daisy had made a great first impression! Both Sandra and Jessie are dog lovers and dog carers par excellence and that put Pippin and us at ease. Throughout Pippin’s two-week stay, Sandra sent us daily updates with photos, which was fun and informative. Pippin is an extremely well-behaved dog, so much so he never jumps on furniture (despite all our encouragement), but Sandra has a secret weapon—dog stairs for couch access!—and she taught Pippin how to use them. When I went to pick up Pippin, he was very excited to see me—lots of licks!—but he also turned to Sandra to give her licks, too, as if to say ‘thank you’. We have no doubt that Pippin will be delighted to spend more time with Sandra, Jessie and Daisy in the future!”

“We feel really lucky that we found Haley to look after our 12 year old shih zu bichon. Haley is very warm, friendly and super accommodating. Our dog has always stayed with family and this was the first time that we left him with someone else. We could tell by the updates and pictures that our dog Mercedes was being very well taken care of and loved. We have a dog that has a lot of quirks and aggressive tendencies towards men and walking on a leash, all of which was not a problem for Haley. Our dog is also on a raw diet, and Haley accommodated this with no problem. Our dog took quiet a liking to Haley and her family, he was in no rush to come home, which is a good sign that he was sincerely well cared for. We are very grateful to Haley that Mercedes experience was such a good one, and she will be the only one Mercedes stays with in the future. We don’t live close to Lake Bonavista, but the distance was worth our fur baby’s happiness!”

“Leslie thank you so much for making Lacy so comfortable in your home. She usually takes a couple of days to warm up to strangers but she fell in love with you overnight.”

“Millie & Scout were great. My pup had a fantastic time, got a ton of exercise, and just got to be a dog without helicopter dad railing on her parade. She got to swim, run, play in the park, and still came home clean and proper despite the wet weather! Very happy with our stay. 😊 Would recommend!”

“Our pup had an amazing time and Karlee was wonderful. She sent us plenty of photos and updates. We couldn’t have asked for better dog sitter. Will definitely be having Karlee sit for us next time.”

“Adam and Gordon went above and beyond for my English bulldog Bato. I feel very lucky Bato was with them and their dogs. I would trust Adam and Gordon again 100% with Bato.”

“The cats came home happy and relaxed - the space available to them was spacious and bright with lots for them to see and do. Jeanette and family are lovely and we felt very comfortable leaving the cats with them. Highly recommend!”

“Ziying is super caring and considerate! She brought DingDing to lots of walks. She sent me photos and videos every day and is very responsive. It was a great experience with Ziying and I’ll rebook with her going forward!”

“Merron took excellent care of our fur baby who can be anxious when separated from home and owners. Merron was happy to implement the routines Buttons was familiar with. It was also great receiving daily updates which reassured us that Buttons was healthy and settled. Thank you!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
