“Annie is a wonderful pet and house sitter. I would 100% recommend her services. Our dog loved her instantly. She sent daily photos and updates on our fur baby and was always quick to respond. Our house was in perfect and clean condition when we returned and our pup was well looked after. Thank you Annie!”

“haydn was absolutely AMAZING while we were away. constant communication, photos and care for my fur baby followed to a tee. i felt very comfortable leaving waldo with haydn and our house was taken care of perfectly. we will absolutely be rebooking with haydn for future trips out of town.”

“Andreea was awesome! Sent regular updates and photos and went above and beyond every step of the way. Came home to a happy kitty and everything in tip top shape. Thank you!”

“This was our first time using rovers’s house sitting services and Deborah as well. We couldn’t say enough positive about Deborah. She was intuitive and loving with our dogs. We would highly recommend her as a house sitter and dog sitter. Her experience and demeanor put us at ease from the moment we met her. She was cooperative and even went out of her way to set us up for success before we left. It was so great for our dogs to be in their own home. She is definitely a committed person. She had personal responsibilities concurrent with our leave but she managed it all. 5 stars for Deborah from us!!”

“Madison was incredible! She house-sat for us and took amazing care of our two girls while we were away. She kept us updated with photos and messages, followed all of our instructions, and went above and beyond to make sure our pups were comfortable and happy. She even took it upon herself to keep an eye on our snake, even though we did not expect her to! We came home to happy pups and a spotless house, which was so appreciated after a day of travelling. We felt completely at ease knowing Madison was with our girls- this is the third or fourth time we have had her over to dog sit and highly recommend her to anyone needing a trusted house sitter and dog lover!”

About: [To my regular clients. I have moved a tiny bit east of Cranston from my condo to a townhouse. I am located in Rangeview now which is just a tad east of Seton Hospital and across from South Mahogany. I will see you there next time.🤗 my address is in the info.] Greetings! I am a retired stay at home mom and grandma. I have owned Shih-Tzu/Shih-Tzu Bichon cross for25+ years. After having lost two, Molly to kidney issues and Buddy at 16, Oliver(4) is now my companion. I would love for him to have friends over to play ☺️ He needs some friendly company❤️ I am very able to accommodate another dog as I am not working. On occasion my grand daughters (6/7) or grandson (8) are over, and they love pets. I go for long walks with my own dog every day so pet sitting/walking fits my life style very well. I have a large condo with an oversized deck (safety surrounded, and am located across from the paths to Cranston park and also the long open areas of the pathway along river system. My home is well kept and your pet will have a good combination of rest/activity in safe and fun environment.
“Amber was great! She got along with the pups immediately, and showed a good knowledge around taking care of them. Amber provided a good description of her experience. Overall a 10/10 experience. Would recommend Amber!”

“Natalia did a great job looking after all 5 of my pets! I have two special needs pets and she had no problem providing quality care to them. She took my dog for two long walks a day, played fetch with her and made sure she got lots of love. The cats got lots of love, rewards and attention. The house looked great when we returned as well. I will absolutely be booking Natalia as a sitter again in the future.”

“Having Katie come spend a few daya with my 2 dogs while I was away was a fantastic experience and I would have her come back in a heartbeat! One of my dogs has health issues and comes with special instructions that were followed as if I was home doing it myself. It was great having updates throughout the day along with cute photos. 10/10 recommend!”

“We have a new puppy and an older dog who just had his remaining eye removed. Both pups required special care and Jodi was just the best! She was here on Easter Sunday and gave us the freedom to go visit family and not take the new pup or recovering dog with us. I would recommend Jodi to anyone who wants excellent care for their fur babies.”

“Shelby was amazing with our girl!! She was able to calm my anxious girl who has separation anxiety. My girl loved her the moment she walked into our home. They went on a walk and Shelby just won her over with cuddles and pets. This was my first time leaving my girl with anyone and Shelby surely took great care of her. 🙂”

“Absolutely incredible pet sitter ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for our dog, Rue. She stayed with Rue for two nights while we were away getting married, and knowing our girl was so well cared for gave us incredible peace of mind. She was wonderfully responsive, diligent with every instruction we left, and so thoughtful about keeping Rue’s routine consistent. The daily updates, complete with photos, meant the world to us during such a big weekend. Rue looked happy, relaxed, and completely herself the entire time. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the pets she watches and takes her role seriously. We honestly cannot recommend her more. If you’re looking for someone reliable, attentive, and truly amazing with animals, she’s the one 😊”

“Lili was very sweet with our dog! Lots of cuddles which is exactly what he wanted and we got regular pictures and updates. House was also very neat and tidy when we returned. We would happily have Lili back!”

“Brianna was exceptional with our little pack! She took everyone's special needs into consideration, sent me updates, and was extremely accommodating when my plans changed short-notice. I can't recommend her enough.”

“Dionne was excellent with our girls ❤️ I was able to relax while away knowing they were in such great care. Dogs were happy when we got home, house looked great. Will definitely be reaching out for care again in the future!”

“Serrina was confident with our senior Boston and our younger Boston and was able to administer his medications as well as keeping the younger one entertained! She took them on lots of walks and stayed with them overnight just like they were her own.”

“Anna did a great job looking after my fur baby. She sent updates daily. I found him healthy, clean and happy when I returned. It helps that he is a sweet boy and loves people but Anna easily and quickly bonded with him too.”

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bragg Creek maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Garbage & recycling: Taking garbage bins to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bragg Creek walking routes, the location of your favourite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bragg Creek choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitters’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity check, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.
If you have security cameras or doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
