“Rosie looked after our 7 month old high energy labrador retriever during the day for 2 days at our air BnB while we were visiting in Calgary. It was great! Rosie is confident, professional, organized, prompt, a strong communicator and flexible. She is very thorough in sending messages when caring for a pet. She is also very responsible in cleaning up. When I met Daphne I immediately felt that she had this positive energy, that she made me feel calm, even when it was only our first time meeting. While I was out of the country, she constantly send me updates about my dog. And when I arrived, my apartment looks clean and great! and my dog happy! “This was our first time using Rover and we were skeptical about using a house/dog sitter, but Stephanie was incredible. Her daily updates and photos were awesome and made us realize how comfortable our dog was in our own house with her. She went above and beyond and left our space even cleaner then when we left it, she also surprised us by leaving some Christmas Polaroids of our dog. If I ever need to book again I’ll absolutely be trying to book with Stephanie before anyone else. I could not recommend highly enough!”

Pets are like family so building trust with an owner and their pet is very important to me. I am always open to chatting about your pet’s needs, so that I can provide the best care possible. Please note that I only care for one dog at a time or multiple dogs in the same household. In the past I have walked many different types of dogs so I am confident in ensuring that every walk is fun and safe. My neighbours trusted me to exercise their pups by walking or running with them. My boyfriend and I frequently take his dog out for walks to Nose Hill park. Growing up I was around my family’s dogs a lot; walking them, caring for them and loving them with lots of pats and belly scratches. Having volunteered at the SPCA, I also have experience caring for both cats and dogs from rescue environments. My current cat, Kiki, used to be a stray and I have loved rescuing her and seeing her flourish in a loving home. Kiki has anxiety, doesn’t get along with other animals, over-grooms, and constantly begs for food. These tendencies have taught me that like humans, animals' behaviour often reflects their past traumas and to care for troubled animals with empathy and love. I have had Kiki for about 6 years and with lots of love and care, she is a whole new kitty: happy, healthy and cuddly (sometimes!) I am able to help out with caring for different species of animals, animals with special needs and animals who need medication. I'm only working part-time at another job so I have lots of time to spend with doggies and kitties. Because I have a cat that doesn’t get along with other animals, I only provide dog walking or services in the client’s home. During dog walking, I am very careful around the roads and cars. I try to avoid the road and stick to parks or alleyways. Some dogs like to eat trash. If that's the case, I try to keep a watchful eye on them. I always, always provide photos and notes in my rover card so you can feel at ease knowing your furry friend is safe and happy. Feel free to provide me with an emergency contact while you're away.
