“Tiana took care of our senior cat, Rory, and it was a fantastic experience. She always provided detailed updates with lots of photos throughout the day for each visit and took the time to give Rory lots of attention. Tiana is super reliable and we would certainly recommend her services to anyone looking for someone to take care of their pets. We will definitely be booking with Tiana again in the future!”

About: I've cared for all kinds of pets over the years—from parrots and bunnies to countless cats, and one very special dog who lived to be 19 years old. I love quiet cuddle sessions, long walks, and keeping a clean, comfortable space, so I'll make sure your pet's emotional and physical needs are well cared for. Animals have always been a big part of my life, and my mom currently runs a cat shelter in Costa Rica, which has only deepened my love and appreciation for them. I work from home as a marketing professional, which gives me plenty of flexibility to provide your pet with attention throughout the day. Outside of work, you'll usually find me going for long walks, heading out for a run, spending time with friends, or enjoying a quiet evening at home. I'm reliable, active, and genuinely love making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away. I live on my own in a cozy apartment, so your pet will have my full attention. My building has 24/7 security, and we're just steps away from the Bow River pathways, making it a great location for dogs who enjoy walks. When I recently looked after a friend's cat, I made sure she had everything she needed, including a scratching post and a comfy bed. Like many cats, she quickly found her own favorite perch—on top of my fridge and cabinets! My apartment has plenty of cozy spots for cats to explore, relax, and feel at home.
“Amber was so patient and attentive to Freya while we were gone for the day. She sent us pictures and updates that put my mind at ease. She is a true dog lover and trustworthy. I highly recommend her for any walks or sitting you need!”

About: I’ve grown up in a house full of dogs, big and small ! Almost every family member have either a dog or a cat (sometime multiple of both) and I’ve always been the designated pet sitter since I was 13, haha. I’ve seen and take care of all: young, adult and senior dogs and cats. :) I am currently looking for a job, so I really do have time to take care of your pets and make sure their routine stays the same as much as possible. Depending on your dog or cat’s needs and personality I’ll make sure to give them the best care possible either with walks, daily checkups with lots of play and/or pets.
About: I’ve been dog sitting and walking since a very young age, always give the best care! I take pride in my passion for animal care. I work remotely from home so able to stay with the dogs all day and provide lots of bathroom breaks and walks. I can also work from clients houses if needed as long as wifi is available. I live a large apartment with tons of green space outside and walking paths, on a low floor so able to take the stairs if dog doesn’t like elevators. Also flexible to go to a clients home due to work flexibility.
“This was our first experience with Rover and I found Sydney to be very kind and caring with our 2 dogs - one 3 years old and one 12 years old. She managed our older dog’s needs and medication well and she individualized each dog’s walks which was very much needed. I loved seeing the pictures of the walks and play time. I also appreciated Sydney’s flexibility with some of our schedule changes over the holidays. Thank you Sydney!”

“I always feel I can trust Aubrey with my pets. I have used her a few times for pet sitting or checking in on my cat while away and I know she is doing a great job and my pets love her.”

About: As a university student and lifelong animal lover, I provide dependable, compassionate care for pets of all kinds. I regularly volunteer at local animal shelters, where I work with animals of different ages, temperaments, and care needs. Growing up with special needs animals has given me extensive experience caring for pets that require extra patience, attention, and individualized support. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, senior, or has unique medical or behavioral needs, I’m committed to making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. As a university student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to fit pet care into my daily and weekly routine. Between classes, I regularly volunteer at local animal shelters and make time for walks, playtime, feeding, and check-ins. Caring for animals is already a natural part of my week, and I’m committed to making sure each pet gets the attention, patience, and love they deserve. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s individual needs, including feeding schedules, exercise requirements, medications, and any behavioral or medical considerations. I carefully follow all instructions provided by owners to ensure their pets experience as little disruption to their routine as possible. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat both the home and the animals with the utmost respect. I keep the environment clean and secure, double-check that doors, gates, and leashes are properly fastened, and never leave pets unattended in unsafe situations. I also provide regular updates with photos and messages, so you can feel confident and connected while you’re away. With my experience volunteering at local animal shelters and caring for animals with special needs throughout my life, I’m comfortable recognizing changes in behavior and responding calmly and responsibly. My goal is to provide a safe, stress-free experience where both you and your pet can feel completely at ease.
“Alice did a great job caring for my shy cat while I was out of town. She was very gentle and patient with him, and was also able to give him his medicine. Thanks, Alice!”

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I recently moved to Canada from Ukraine, while my own dog, Oskar, stayed back home with my family. I miss him every day, and caring for other dogs brings me so much joy and helps me feel connected to what I love most. I’ve spent years looking after Oskar as well as dogs belonging to friends and family. I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I always treat them with patience, kindness, and love. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout their stay. I work full-time Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Before and after work, I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, and love. I’m available for overnight stays, evenings, weekends, and longer bookings. I’ll always follow your pet’s routine and provide regular photo and message updates, so you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely enjoy supervised outdoor time. I follow each pet’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medications (if needed), and any special instructions. I believe every dog deserves to feel relaxed, loved, and at home while their family is away :)
About: I have a 5-year-old Goldendoodle named Jiggs, who I’ve had the joy of raising on my own since he was just 10 weeks old! I’m passionate about the outdoors, whether it’s running or walking with him, and I absolutely love spending time with animals in any way I can! I work full time Monday to Friday with additional flexibility on Fridays. My evenings and weekends are flexible and free for your pet care needs! I live in a pet friendly condo with the ability to crate your dog if needed. My dog is friendly but I will require an introduction prior to bringing a dog into my home. I am familiar with crate trained and non crate trained dogs.

About: I’m a bit of a pet whisperer 🐾 even shy or cautious pets usually warm up to me within minutes! I’m patient, gentle, and naturally connect with animals, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. ❤️ Expect plenty of walks, playtime, cuddles, and photo updates while you’re away!! I usually work from home, so I have a very flexible schedule and can give your pets plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m fully available for house sitting, walks, playtime, feeding, and lots of company! 🐾 I care for pets in the comfort of their own home, where they feel safest and most relaxed. 🐾 I follow their usual routine for feeding, walks, playtime, and rest, while giving them plenty of attention, love, and company.
About: Dogs bring me so much joy, and I genuinely enjoy learning their individual personalities and helping them feel safe and comfortable. Through volunteering with an animal rescue organization in Calgary, I have cared for and interacted with dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I received training in safe dog handling, maintaining a clean and comfortable shelter environment, and using basic verbal cues and hand signals. I also gained experience building trust with dogs through patience, positive interactions, and clear directions, including practising basic cues such as “sit.” During walks, I carefully follow each owner’s instructions regarding pace, route, behaviour around other dogs, and any individual needs. I provide time for exercise, sniffing, and bathroom breaks, and I send plenty of photos and detailed updates so you always know how your dog is doing. I keep my Rover calendar updated and only accept bookings when I can give your pet the time and attention they deserve. I’m happy to discuss timing in advance and establish a dependable routine for recurring bookings. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my priorities. Before our first booking, I would love to arrange a meet and greet to learn about your pet’s routine, personality, walking equipment, triggers, medical needs, and behaviour around people and other animals. During walks, I keep the leash secure, remain attentive to traffic and our surroundings, and follow your instructions about interacting with unfamiliar dogs or people. I will never force an interaction that makes your pet uncomfortable. After each visit, I’ll send photos and a detailed update about the walk, your pet’s mood and energy, bathroom breaks, and anything unusual I notice.
“Rebecca did a wonderful job overlooking our kitty Mew Mew and our home. She is very caring and thoughtful throughout the whole experience and is very easy to instruct and work with. Thank you so much for keeping him well entertained and loved while we were gone for over 2 weeks.”

“These two were so kind and generous, took the time to meet with our pups and were so patient with our excitable puppy. They were diligent about double checking care details and we just so appreciated their willingness to help. Our cat unexpectedly got aggressive with them and we felt so awful but they still provided regular updates and showed kindness. You and your pets will love these two.”

About: I’m a very fit and active 60-year-old gentleman who loves going out for long walks and would love the company of your pet to join me. My husband and I live in a condo and travel often so owning our own dog is almost impossible. We do have two grand puppies who we love spending time with and having stay with us whenever their parents are away.. I retired three years ago from my full-time job and now work casually two or three nights a week. My daytime and weekends are completely free to look after your animals. I am completely mobile and able to stay in your home to look after your pets if you need to be away on vacation. Also able to do some light housekeeping (extra fee) for you while I am in your home. Both my husband and I are complete neat freaks, and your home will be well respected and taken care of while I am there. I do genuinely love animals I would love to have some of our own if we could accommodate them in our condo. We are avid travelers, so the idea of having a dog doesn’t really work out for us. But I am drawn to dogs and I feel they love being around me as well. I’d offer a ton of love and am able to look after both sedentary and highly active pets.

Svitlana was fantastic with my large senior dog. She arrived on time and showed a lot of patience and care with him, and was always attentive to his needs. The photos she provided were a wonderful touch and really showcased his personality. I will be booking with Svitlana again and highly recommend her services!

Daniela did a fantastic job with my dog today! She stopped by for a potty break visit and was reliable, attentive, and clearly great with animals. I really appreciated the updates and could tell my dog was well taken care of and happy. It’s such a relief knowing I can count on her. I’d definitely recommend Daniela to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter!

Chantel has been amazing coming twice a day to hang out with Hershey and take him on a walk around our neighborhood! He gets so excited when she comes to our door and waits for her on the top of our couch. She has been such a help while I’ve been recovering from knee surgery and haven’t been able to walk him myself :)

Kate was so wonderful! She came for a last minute visit with our 6 month old puppy (our first time using Rover with him). She made us feel so comfortable - she was very confident and sent us updates and photos during the visit. Our puppy was very happy and tired when we got home :). We will definitly call Kate again!

We booked a drop in visit with Kerry to have our enthusiastic and energetic Dobe meet her before we leave for a couple weeks. Kerry was very attentive to Wylie and listen carefully to the instruction we wanted to convey. Wylie was at ease very quickly with Kerry and I’m confident they will get along just fine when we are away.

This was my first time booking through Rover, and I'm very happy to have had Mary Grace break all the nerves that came with that. She was very kind, showed up very prepared, was understanding to my nervousness and treated my pups very well. My "usually never stops barking" pup even took to her so well that he wasn't barking by the second drop in. Thank you so much for making our weekend away easier than we thought and I hope you're available next time we need a hand =)

Mona is wonderful with our 14.5 year old dog. She is happy, friendly, reliable and courteous. She is not shy, she picks him up, kisses him, and lets him sit with her at all times. We are so appreciative to have Mona helping us. Our dog has trouble seeing and hearing and our condo is new to him. She is patient and kind and we are so thankful!
Loved working with this dog sitter! She was so gentle and caring with my puppy, sent me photos and updates during the visit, and everything was on time. You can tell she truly loves animals and takes her job seriously. I will definitely book with her again and highly recommend her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
