“Kimberly did an amazing job with our senior dog, Finn. She made the time to come meet him (and us) in advance of the booking, which we really appreciated. She is a great communicator and went above and beyond to make sure our pup was happy and taken care of while we were gone. You can tell her love for animals through everything she does. Would definitely love to have her back again!”

“Tiana was amazing with my cat! She followed all of the instructions exactly and took time to bond and play with him each day. Her notes and pics were perfect and were a great check-in while I was away. I highly recommend Tiana and wouldn’t hesitate to book her again!”

“Johanna did a great job taking care of my cat while I was abroad for two weeks. Super responsive, very timely visits and lots of great photos. Even dropped in a few extra times to check in on my kitty, made relaxing on my trip very easy. ❤️”

If you are away on holiday, or just at work during the day, I am a trustworthy house sitter, and I can do some daily household tasks while you're away (light cleaning, shovel snow, etc.) I love working with dogs, whether we are running outside or being a potato cuddling on the couch. While you're away, I am able to send you photos of your fur-baby and give any necessary updates. I can usually take bookings on short notice, and I am available on holidays. About: I grew up with both cats and dogs and was trusted to take care of them when needed. I currently volunteer at a rescue where dogs and cats of all ages are looked after. I fulfilled my training in dog behaviour and sanitization protocols. I work full time but have the flexibility to work remote if owners are in need of a sitter during the week day and of course the weekend! I’ve handled dogs and all ages, with varying anxiety levels. Your furry friend will be safe in my care and we will have lots of enrichment activities!
About: Dogs bring me so much joy, and I genuinely enjoy learning their individual personalities and helping them feel safe and comfortable. Through volunteering with an animal rescue organization in Calgary, I have cared for and interacted with dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I received training in safe dog handling, maintaining a clean and comfortable shelter environment, and using basic verbal cues and hand signals. I also gained experience building trust with dogs through patience, positive interactions, and clear directions, including practising basic cues such as “sit.” During walks, I carefully follow each owner’s instructions regarding pace, route, behaviour around other dogs, and any individual needs. I provide time for exercise, sniffing, and bathroom breaks, and I send plenty of photos and detailed updates so you always know how your dog is doing. I keep my Rover calendar updated and only accept bookings when I can give your pet the time and attention they deserve. I’m happy to discuss timing in advance and establish a dependable routine for recurring bookings. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my priorities. Before our first booking, I would love to arrange a meet and greet to learn about your pet’s routine, personality, walking equipment, triggers, medical needs, and behaviour around people and other animals. During walks, I keep the leash secure, remain attentive to traffic and our surroundings, and follow your instructions about interacting with unfamiliar dogs or people. I will never force an interaction that makes your pet uncomfortable. After each visit, I’ll send photos and a detailed update about the walk, your pet’s mood and energy, bathroom breaks, and anything unusual I notice.

About: Hi I’m a freelancing pet photographer. I do pet sitting as a hobby. Throughout my life, I’ve had the joy of raising two rabbits (one at a time) and two cats (together). Although my current housing doesn't allow pets, my love for animals remains strong — I deeply miss my cats who are now with my family in another city. I had Beanie since she was a baby and I need to feed her goat milk before she is old enough to have dry cat food. I’ve also helped friends with dog sitting, and I enjoyed walking in the street of Calgary and being at a dog park taking photos of the furry ones. I can drive, so I can go somewhere further away from my location if needed. (Travel fee may apply) I will be doing most services on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I will be also available for services in the morning and in the evening on the other days I always treat every pet like they're my own and make them feel safe and chill when I'm around. Bonus: As a passionate pet photographer, I aim to capture at least one professional-quality photo of your pet during each visit. It’s my way of sharing a little something special with you — a lasting memory from your pet’s day. Looking forward to meeting you and your furry family members!
“These two were so kind and generous, took the time to meet with our pups and were so patient with our excitable puppy. They were diligent about double checking care details and we just so appreciated their willingness to help. Our cat unexpectedly got aggressive with them and we felt so awful but they still provided regular updates and showed kindness. You and your pets will love these two.”

“Shiloh was fantastic with our 2 cats while we were on vacation. She even got our tortie to come out from under the bed which never happens! She went above my expectations and we would happily book her again!”

“We had Megan come in to visit/walk Luna while we were out in the weekend. She did such a great job, and really connected with our pup. It was such a relief to know she was in good hands while we were out. I'd highly recommend Megan.”

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I recently moved to Canada from Ukraine, while my own dog, Oskar, stayed back home with my family. I miss him every day, and caring for other dogs brings me so much joy and helps me feel connected to what I love most. I’ve spent years looking after Oskar as well as dogs belonging to friends and family. I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I always treat them with patience, kindness, and love. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout their stay. I work full-time Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Before and after work, I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, and love. I’m available for overnight stays, evenings, weekends, and longer bookings. I’ll always follow your pet’s routine and provide regular photo and message updates, so you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely enjoy supervised outdoor time. I follow each pet’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medications (if needed), and any special instructions. I believe every dog deserves to feel relaxed, loved, and at home while their family is away :)
“Timothy was amazing! He took great care of my rabbit and was so flexible and accommodating when I couldn’t make it home and needed him to check on Charlie for an extra day! Thank you!”

“Ryan didn’t outstanding job looking after my dog Duke. I came home to a very happy boy who is more behaved and better looking than when I left. Ryan was very punctual and I will definitely get him again anytime I go away if he’s available.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Calgary
Shiloh dropped in on Georgia for a week while we were away on vacation. Georgia got along very well with her and they did a lot of snuggling on the couch, which is exactly what she likes to do. We received updates daily and Shiloh is very communicative. We will definitely book with her again in the future.

Kimberly did an amazing job with our senior dog, Finn. She made the time to come meet him (and us) in advance of the booking, which we really appreciated. She is a great communicator and went above and beyond to make sure our pup was happy and taken care of while we were gone. You can tell her love for animals through everything she does. Would definitely love to have her back again!

Svitlana was fantastic with my large senior dog. She arrived on time and showed a lot of patience and care with him, and was always attentive to his needs. The photos she provided were a wonderful touch and really showcased his personality. I will be booking with Svitlana again and highly recommend her services!

Daniela did a fantastic job with my dog today! She stopped by for a potty break visit and was reliable, attentive, and clearly great with animals. I really appreciated the updates and could tell my dog was well taken care of and happy. It’s such a relief knowing I can count on her. I’d definitely recommend Daniela to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter!

Chantel has been amazing coming twice a day to hang out with Hershey and take him on a walk around our neighborhood! He gets so excited when she comes to our door and waits for her on the top of our couch. She has been such a help while I’ve been recovering from knee surgery and haven’t been able to walk him myself :)

Kate was so wonderful! She came for a last minute visit with our 6 month old puppy (our first time using Rover with him). She made us feel so comfortable - she was very confident and sent us updates and photos during the visit. Our puppy was very happy and tired when we got home :). We will definitly call Kate again!

We booked a drop in visit with Kerry to have our enthusiastic and energetic Dobe meet her before we leave for a couple weeks. Kerry was very attentive to Wylie and listen carefully to the instruction we wanted to convey. Wylie was at ease very quickly with Kerry and I’m confident they will get along just fine when we are away.

This was my first time booking through Rover, and I'm very happy to have had Mary Grace break all the nerves that came with that. She was very kind, showed up very prepared, was understanding to my nervousness and treated my pups very well. My "usually never stops barking" pup even took to her so well that he wasn't barking by the second drop in. Thank you so much for making our weekend away easier than we thought and I hope you're available next time we need a hand =)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
