About: I’ve been taking care of pets since I was 17 years old and my next door neighbours asked me to watch their two cats while on vacation, and I haven’t looked back since! I love caring for cats and dogs and have been a trusted pet-sitter amongst my family and group of friends for years. As a previous nervous pet owner, I understand that some special pets need one on one care and attention. While your pet is in my care, they are the only one, ensuring they get the TLC they need so you can rest easy. I’ve truly found my niche as a dog walker, and I as a very active person, I understand sometimes just a walk around the block isn’t enough. I love to walk, run, and rollerblade so if you have a high energy pup who needs to go out for a few kilometers in order to feel rested and settled, I’m your gal! I am currently a full time student studying yoga, Pilates and mindful movement, so my schedule is open during weekdays to help you with all your walking and drop in needs. I am extremely flexible and more than happy to work with you based on your pet’s needs and your personal preferences. I have no pets in my home currently, which allows me to give undivided attention to your fur babies on a constant basis.
“Amber was so patient and attentive to Freya while we were gone for the day. She sent us pictures and updates that put my mind at ease. She is a true dog lover and trustworthy. I highly recommend her for any walks or sitting you need!”

“What an incredible human being - thank you Jiayu for taking care of Chai. She took the time to fill me in on daily activities and health status which I really appreciated.”

“Tiana took such great care of my two kitties while I was away for a weekend, she provided me with a bunch of photos and videos each visit which was so nice to see while I was away. She took extra care and time to make sure their water bowls were filled and provided a similar atmosphere that I do when I'm home. They were so happy and looked so well taken care of when I arrived back home. I can't recommend her enough she is a true professional who puts extra care into her work and is very reliable and flexible. I will definitely ask Tiana to pet sit for me again next time I need a reliable and caring passionate pet sitter! Thank you again Tiana 💓”

About: I have a 5-year-old Goldendoodle named Jiggs, who I’ve had the joy of raising on my own since he was just 10 weeks old! I work full time Monday to Friday with additional flexibility on Fridays. My evenings and weekends are flexible and free for your pet care needs! I live in a pet friendly condo with the ability to crate your dog if needed. My dog is friendly but I will require an introduction prior to bringing a dog into my home. I am familiar with crate trained and non crate trained dogs.

“I made a last minute booking with Kateryna for drop-in visits with my shy cat and everything went great. The little guy warmed up to her immediately and Kateryna took great care of him, kept me updated, and made sure everything was handled smoothly while I was away. I came home to a happy, well-cared-for kitty and felt completely at ease the whole time. I would absolutely rebook and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, caring pet sitter.”

“Tamara took such wonderful care of our cats while we were away. She sent us lots of photos and updates every day, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear that she genuinely cared about them and treated them with so much love and patience. We always felt they were in safe and caring hands. She is incredibly reliable, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again ❤️”

“Thank you Conner for taking care of Guinness while we were away! It was evident from the pictures that he really loved you!! He can be quite shy with new people but he warmed up in no time!! Also thank you for taking care of my plants as well! ?”

“Contacted Bri at the last minute when my cat sitting plans fell through over the holidays. She was responsive, went out of her way to facilitate a meet and greet at a surely inconvenient hour for her, and sent me regular updates throughout. I will definitely be reaching out to her again next time I travel. Thanks again for taking wonderful care of Gladys!”

About: I have been fortunate enough to grow up with dogs and a cat at home. I hugely enjoy spending time with my dog Twiggy and cat Tilly. Apart from my experience with my own pets, I have completed over 20 house sits in New Zealand and most recently 9 in Calgary pet sitting cats and dogs. I have experience minding one and multiple dogs at a time of all ages, breeds and sizes. I am competent in different feeding routines, administering medication, brushing their teeth and brushing their fur. I have walked dogs that are still in training, dogs that pull on their lead and dogs that have limited mobility. My dog at home requires stretching of her joints after / before exercise. I am a caring, calm and enthusiastic pet sitter and would love to assist in looking after your pets! I am a qualified elementary school teacher from Ireland and I am currently waiting for my Alberta teacher certificate. As it can be a long process, I am spending my time doing some part time childcare as well as pet sitting as I love spending time with animals. I am available for dog walks, dog / cat check ins during the day as well as pet sitting. I make sure to treat any home like my own when minding a dog or cat. I will ensure to keep your and your pet's home clean whether I am just popping in or spending a longer period there and will make sure that there is nothing unsafe near your pet at any time.
About: I’ve taken care of many dogs and cats over the years. Growing up, I looked after my family’s havanese yorkie, so I know how much your pet is truly part of your family. Ive looked after friends and coworkers dogs for long periods of time. During my longest job I looked after three cats and one dog for two months. I also have a strange affinity for finding lost dogs, as I have helped rehome six of them. I am comfortable around many kinds of animals, and I love getting to know them and giving them the love and attention they deserve. My mother works in the vet industry, and I am fortunate to have learned a lot from her. I’ve had the opportunity to help out at doggy blood banks and other events, which has furthered my comfort. Alongside per sitting I also substitute teach and work sparingly as a front desk attendant. Due to the ATA strike, my schedule is presently quite open for both drop ins and overnight stays! I work two days a week at my other job on an inconsistent schedule, and I will let you know if my shift overlaps on your requested day(s). I am more than happy to do overnight stays while I am scheduled, if your pet is okay with that! I am here for your pooch’s comfort. I like to discuss with my clients what routines are best to adhere to when interacting with their pets. I am open to taking them out for however long of a walk they need, refilling their food, playing with them in the house or outside, and cleaning up any litter boxes or other messes around the house.
About: I have had large and small dogs in my life. Centrally located with a few parks by my house. I have experience with different harness, coats, putting boots and socks on. Happy to do it all so your dog is comfortable. I’ve moving from another province, and therefore have all the time to make this my number one priority. I do not have another employment at the moment. I do one to two hours of exercise in the morning- my late afternoons to evenings are free to provide help! When I drop by your home I would first ensure all the basic needs are met for your dog, whether you’d prefer if I just stop in for a quick moment while you’re at work, or if you’d like me ensure they get groomed. I will respect all boundaries put into place from the pet owner and never overstep. At the moment I am not offering boarding services.
“Archie loved Rebecca and that’s a great deal. She was very attentive with his schedule and routine, and made sure that he was well taken care of. She spent time with him and sent pictures every day. I’ll definitely have her pet sitting him again. Thank you, Rebecca!!! 😄♥️”

“Nataliia was great, She came to visit Terrence during the cold snap we just had and spent some quality time with him. She showed up when she said she would and made sure he was safe and sound. Thanks Nataliia!!”

About: I love dogs and used to volunteer with a dog rescue to foster dogs before they found their forever home. Many had trust issues, so I took the time needed to show them love and gain their trust. I want to create a safe space for dogs, gain their trust and help them enjoy their time with me. I grew up caring for a little yorkie and dog sat my roommate's dog with they travel abroad. I do believe in discipline, so if a dog misbehaves, they will get a time out. That being said, I will make sure dogs are not in a situation that will lead to such behaviour. I work 9am to 5pm in downtown Calgary, so my time is restricted to evenings and weekend. I live in East Vancouver but work near BC Place so can easily walking dogs near these area. I work 4 days a week and free am free weekends. I live with a dog and cat and love spoiling them. If I could have my own dog I would but shall enjoy caring for pets until then. I care for pets by following their routine closely—feeding on schedule, providing fresh water, walks, playtime, and plenty of affection in a calm, safe environment.
About: I’m a very fit and active 60-year-old gentleman who loves going out for long walks and would love the company of your pet to join me. My husband and I live in a condo and travel often so owning our own dog is almost impossible. We do have two grand puppies who we love spending time with and having stay with us whenever their parents are away.. I retired three years ago from my full-time job and now work casually two or three nights a week. My daytime and weekends are completely free to look after your animals. I am completely mobile and able to stay in your home to look after your pets if you need to be away on vacation. Also able to do some light housekeeping (extra fee) for you while I am in your home. Both my husband and I are complete neat freaks, and your home will be well respected and taken care of while I am there. I do genuinely love animals I would love to have some of our own if we could accommodate them in our condo. We are avid travelers, so the idea of having a dog doesn’t really work out for us. But I am drawn to dogs and I feel they love being around me as well. I’d offer a ton of love and am able to look after both sedentary and highly active pets.

Svitlana was fantastic with my large senior dog. She arrived on time and showed a lot of patience and care with him, and was always attentive to his needs. The photos she provided were a wonderful touch and really showcased his personality. I will be booking with Svitlana again and highly recommend her services!

Daniela did a fantastic job with my dog today! She stopped by for a potty break visit and was reliable, attentive, and clearly great with animals. I really appreciated the updates and could tell my dog was well taken care of and happy. It’s such a relief knowing I can count on her. I’d definitely recommend Daniela to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter!

Chantel has been amazing coming twice a day to hang out with Hershey and take him on a walk around our neighborhood! He gets so excited when she comes to our door and waits for her on the top of our couch. She has been such a help while I’ve been recovering from knee surgery and haven’t been able to walk him myself :)

Kate was so wonderful! She came for a last minute visit with our 6 month old puppy (our first time using Rover with him). She made us feel so comfortable - she was very confident and sent us updates and photos during the visit. Our puppy was very happy and tired when we got home :). We will definitly call Kate again!

We booked a drop in visit with Kerry to have our enthusiastic and energetic Dobe meet her before we leave for a couple weeks. Kerry was very attentive to Wylie and listen carefully to the instruction we wanted to convey. Wylie was at ease very quickly with Kerry and I’m confident they will get along just fine when we are away.

This was my first time booking through Rover, and I'm very happy to have had Mary Grace break all the nerves that came with that. She was very kind, showed up very prepared, was understanding to my nervousness and treated my pups very well. My "usually never stops barking" pup even took to her so well that he wasn't barking by the second drop in. Thank you so much for making our weekend away easier than we thought and I hope you're available next time we need a hand =)

Mona is wonderful with our 14.5 year old dog. She is happy, friendly, reliable and courteous. She is not shy, she picks him up, kisses him, and lets him sit with her at all times. We are so appreciative to have Mona helping us. Our dog has trouble seeing and hearing and our condo is new to him. She is patient and kind and we are so thankful!
Loved working with this dog sitter! She was so gentle and caring with my puppy, sent me photos and updates during the visit, and everything was on time. You can tell she truly loves animals and takes her job seriously. I will definitely book with her again and highly recommend her!
