About: Growing up, I've always been surrounded by pets. My mom used to plonk me and Candy, my adorable French Poodle, into the same playpen. Candy wasn't just a pet; she was like my first best buddy. Then came Kina, our sweet Golden Retriever. Even at 10 years old, I took on the job of looking after her – walks, baths, food, the works. When she got older and needed surgeries, I was there for her, giving meds, cleaning wounds, and just showering her with love till the end. After Kina, Waffle came along. She was just a month old when I got her, which made socializing a bit tricky. But Waffle's been a real eye-opener. Through all the training sessions, I've learned that the key to a happy pup is consistency, patience, and loads of love. From Candy to Kina to Waffle, each furry friend has taught me heaps about compassion, responsibility, and being a rock-solid caregiver. They've been my teachers in life's best lessons, and I'm forever grateful for that. Now, alongside Waffle, I've got Mylo, this adorable and playful Westie who hit it off with Waffle right away. It's like having double the fun! And sometimes, I get the chance to look after my best friend's dog, Nala. Let me tell you, having three dogs around me makes me feel like the luckiest person in the world. It's a whole pack of love and joy, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. When possible, I like to meet dogs outside first so they can interact in a neutral environment with my own dog. We start with a short 5–10 minute walk together, which helps the dogs get comfortable, recognize each other as part of the same group, and build trust in a relaxed way. Once at home, I closely supervise the dogs while allowing them freedom to move around the house so they feel comfortable and at ease. About: I’m a very fit and active 60-year-old gentleman who loves going out for long walks and would love the company of your pet to join me. My husband and I live in a condo and travel often so owning our own dog is almost impossible. We do have two grand puppies who we love spending time with and having stay with us whenever their parents are away.. I retired three years ago from my full-time job and now work casually two or three nights a week. My daytime and weekends are completely free to look after your animals. I am completely mobile and able to stay in your home to look after your pets if you need to be away on vacation. Also able to do some light housekeeping (extra fee) for you while I am in your home. Both my husband and I are complete neat freaks, and your home will be well respected and taken care of while I am there. I do genuinely love animals I would love to have some of our own if we could accommodate them in our condo. We are avid travelers, so the idea of having a dog doesn’t really work out for us. But I am drawn to dogs and I feel they love being around me as well. I’d offer a ton of love and am able to look after both sedentary and highly active pets.

“I made a last minute appointment for doggy day care with Maria, just the night before. She responded very fast and was able to accommodate Miso. I dropped Miso off at 9:30am with his meals for the day, a toy, his harness, leash, and some treats from home. The instructions to her place were very easy and accessible. I gave her a brief run over of Miso’s personality, my feeding routine with him, and how to keep him entertained when I made the booking. As soon as I left, she sent me pictures of him playing with dog toys she already had. Maria has her own pup who played well with Miso, so that was a big bonus since Miso is a social dog. Maria is located in a beautiful location with incredible proximity to lucrative and large parks with diverse sights including the river, groups of people and other dogs, and natural vegetation. If you are hoping to have your dog get out more and experience different smells, sights, and sounds, Maria is the ideal person to have your pup stay with. She took Miso and her dog outside three times throughout the day, and their pictures together showed that Miso had a great time. I picked him up at the end of the day, 9:30pm. I knew he had a really fun and fulfilling day trip because he was quiet the entire car ride home. All in all, it was a pleasure boarding Miso with Maria - she was very easy to communicate with, and I felt at ease while I was busy the entire day because I knew he was well-taken care of and entertained. Miso will be returning when the time comes. 😊”

About: I’m a very fit and active 60-year-old gentleman who loves going out for long walks and would love the company of your pet to join me. My husband and I live in a condo and travel often so owning our own dog is almost impossible. We do have two grand puppies who we love spending time with and having stay with us whenever their parents are away.. I retired three years ago from my full-time job and now work casually two or three nights a week. My daytime and weekends are completely free to look after your animals. I am completely mobile and able to stay in your home to look after your pets if you need to be away on vacation. Also able to do some light housekeeping (extra fee) for you while I am in your home. Both my husband and I are complete neat freaks, and your home will be well respected and taken care of while I am there. I do genuinely love animals I would love to have some of our own if we could accommodate them in our condo. We are avid travelers, so the idea of having a dog doesn’t really work out for us. But I am drawn to dogs and I feel they love being around me as well. I’d offer a ton of love and am able to look after both sedentary and highly active pets.

Growing up my family had two dogs. One was adopted from an animal shelter when he was around 7 months and is naturally shy and reactive around other dogs, people, and loud noises. He’s also now a senior dog and partially blind. The other dog is the complete opposite, strong and full of energy. Two dogs with very different personalities, needs, and comfort levels. Before moving to Calgary, I worked as a nurse in Ontario so I understand the importance of responsibility, safety, and reliability. Especially when you’re trusting someone with a member of your family. I live in an apartment close to several parks including Prince’s Island Park. I also know of several quiet places if your dog needs a quiet and less stimulating environment. I can take care of two dogs from the same household at once and will ensure no other pets from other households are in the apartment. This way I can ensure your pet gets the love and attention it needs.

About: I've had dogs since I was a kid and have dog sat for friends throughout college and my master's. I'm currently without a dog and would love to spend some time with pups again as I love going for walks, the snuggles, play time, and even the messes that come with having a dog. I'm currently working part-time so taking care of your pup is a priority to me! I work evenings which I find works best with a lot of dog's schedules as they want to be playing, going for walks, and active during daytime hours. I live in a dog friendly apartment with no current dogs so am happy to have your pup in my home in the way that they're used to without being bothered (be that crate, sleeping on the sofa, or with me). I'm a 3 minute walk from a lovely park so taking the dogs there to stretch their legs is the better option than staying downtown.
