“Let me begin by saying I am what some would consider high maintenance, I'm a bit of a control freak and when it came to Sherman the Battle Cat - I had a lot of anxiety leaving him for 6 days due to his age (he's almost 19) and his medical conditions that required medication administration in the AM and PM. This was my first time using Rover, I reached out to Rosie as she had so many exemplary reviews and experience with older precious creatures. Rosie is an Angel, she took such good care of Sherman and sent me consistent and substantial updates every day. She even continued notating his details in his notebook (medication administration, quality of poops, if he threw up, how many meals he'd eaten etc.) I've had Sherman since he was 8 weeks old, he's been through a lot this year and I'm running on borrowed time with him - I couldn't have asked for anything better than Rosie. If he makes it until Christmas, she will be my first (and likely only) choice. When she left, she had cleaned up (including garbages) and left Sherman and I a lovely gift bag with some goodies for both of us. Rosie is dedicated, thoughtful, so very friggin kind and just a lovely human all around. If you want someone who will show your precious creatures the attention and kindness they deserve, look no further than Rosie.”

About: I’m a very fit and active 60-year-old gentleman who loves going out for long walks and would love the company of your pet to join me. My husband and I live in a condo and travel often so owning our own dog is almost impossible. We do have two grand puppies who we love spending time with and having stay with us whenever their parents are away.. I retired three years ago from my full-time job and now work casually two or three nights a week. My daytime and weekends are completely free to look after your animals. I am completely mobile and able to stay in your home to look after your pets if you need to be away on vacation. Also able to do some light housekeeping (extra fee) for you while I am in your home. Both my husband and I are complete neat freaks, and your home will be well respected and taken care of while I am there. I do genuinely love animals I would love to have some of our own if we could accommodate them in our condo. We are avid travelers, so the idea of having a dog doesn’t really work out for us. But I am drawn to dogs and I feel they love being around me as well. I’d offer a ton of love and am able to look after both sedentary and highly active pets.

“I made a last minute appointment for doggy day care with Maria, just the night before. She responded very fast and was able to accommodate Miso. I dropped Miso off at 9:30am with his meals for the day, a toy, his harness, leash, and some treats from home. The instructions to her place were very easy and accessible. I gave her a brief run over of Miso’s personality, my feeding routine with him, and how to keep him entertained when I made the booking. As soon as I left, she sent me pictures of him playing with dog toys she already had. Maria has her own pup who played well with Miso, so that was a big bonus since Miso is a social dog. Maria is located in a beautiful location with incredible proximity to lucrative and large parks with diverse sights including the river, groups of people and other dogs, and natural vegetation. If you are hoping to have your dog get out more and experience different smells, sights, and sounds, Maria is the ideal person to have your pup stay with. She took Miso and her dog outside three times throughout the day, and their pictures together showed that Miso had a great time. I picked him up at the end of the day, 9:30pm. I knew he had a really fun and fulfilling day trip because he was quiet the entire car ride home. All in all, it was a pleasure boarding Miso with Maria - she was very easy to communicate with, and I felt at ease while I was busy the entire day because I knew he was well-taken care of and entertained. Miso will be returning when the time comes. 😊”

About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for over 11 years. I’ve cared for both cats and dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies who are still learning the ropes to senior pets who need a little extra patience and attention. I also have experience with basic puppy training and understand the importance of consistency, positive reinforcement, exercise, and plenty of affection. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always aim to make them feel happy, safe, and cared for. Pet care is part of my everyday life. As a cat owner, my mornings typically begin with furry alarm clocks demanding breakfast, attention, and immediate service. Beyond my own pets, I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and already structure my days around feeding schedules, exercise, playtime, and making sure pets feel safe and cared for. Looking after animals isn’t something I squeeze into my schedule, it’s already part of it. Every pet is different, so I adjust my care to fit their personality and routine. Some pets want lots of playtime and activity, while others prefer a calm environment and extra cuddles. I follow feeding schedules, make sure pets get the exercise and attention they need, keep their space clean, and always prioritize their safety and comfort. I treat every pet as if they were my own and do my best to make their time away from their owner feel as easy and stress-free as possible.

About: Hi! My name is Kyra, and I am a DVM student going into my second year at UCVM, and I am a certified Veterinary Technician Assistant. I am confident with classical and operant conditioning for training animals, animal husbandry and safe restraint methods. I look forward to providing attentive and specialized care for your pets. My pets include a tuxedo cat and a corn snake. I am currently off from university and looking to keep my animal-handling skills up to date.
