“I can't express enough how amazing Tia was with Maya and Klonkie. From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. Tia arranged a call prior to their booking to ensure all their requirements were noted prior & showed a genuine love for dogs, which was evident in how well Maya and Klonkie were cared for. Communication was excellent, with regular updates and photos that put my mind at ease while I was away. It was evident that Maya and Klonkie were comfortable and happy. Maya and Klonkie came back home in great spirits and it was clear that they had a fantastic time during their stay. I would highly recommend Tia to anyone looking for reliable and loving care for their furry family members. It's reassuring to know that such a responsible and caring person is available to look after our pets. I'll definitely be reaching out for future bookings. Five stars all the way!”

“I am SO pleased with Kirsten and fam! Crosby had so much fun on his first overnight stay away from me, and they loved him up like he was their dog! They are such wonderful people! Thank you so much! ♡”

“I cannot say enough good things about Taylor and Maxwell. Drop off and pick up are both seamless. The updates come daily, and they are extremely responsive when you reach out during your dog’s stay. We feel very fortunate to have Scamp stay there every time.”

“As our first experience with Rover we were very happy with Krystal. Good communication and knew Frankie was in good hands with her loving family. The photo updates are also appreciated”

“Mariel and Bram are so reliable! They boarded my dog Thor for 6 days in their home and he had an amazing time. I can tell Thor was loved and cared for under their care. I got updates of Thor including photos and videos throughout the days and communication was excellent. I would definitely leave Thor under their care again! Thank you Mariel and Bram for being amazing sitters!”

“Lisa was great! She made our dog feel so relaxed and cared for. She took steps to make him feel at home and comfortable. Lisa sent picture regularly of Berkley playing and smiling. I’m pretty sure he wishes he lived there all the time because he spend the first 2 days back at home moping. That’s a sign of great care!!”

“Scott was super swift at the replies and helping me organise a quick one night stay. Moose came out of there as normal as ever so I guess it all went well!? Haha some people give off good vibes, these are definitely those people!”

“Our 5-year-old Pippin was a happy camper during his first holiday at Sandra’s and Jessie’s. He had, of course, met both of them at the ‘meet and greet’ at their home, but what really surprised us was how excited he was when we dropped him off. He knew precisely where we had taken him and he raced up their front steps and started barking with excitement at the front door. Clearly, Sandra and Jessie and their very sweet dog Daisy had made a great first impression! Both Sandra and Jessie are dog lovers and dog carers par excellence and that put Pippin and us at ease. Throughout Pippin’s two-week stay, Sandra sent us daily updates with photos, which was fun and informative. Pippin is an extremely well-behaved dog, so much so he never jumps on furniture (despite all our encouragement), but Sandra has a secret weapon—dog stairs for couch access!—and she taught Pippin how to use them. When I went to pick up Pippin, he was very excited to see me—lots of licks!—but he also turned to Sandra to give her licks, too, as if to say ‘thank you’. We have no doubt that Pippin will be delighted to spend more time with Sandra, Jessie and Daisy in the future!”

“Riell is great with dogs! Jet loved her and her place, especially the walks and new toys to play with. Very diligent and caring pet person. I will definitely use her services next time I need them.”
About: I love pets! I love going on walks and I have a dog park a block away from my house! My family and friends have always relied on me and I never disappoint :) I’m currently on a hybrid schedule at work which means I work from home 2 days a week. I will have plenty of time to play with your pets during those days and on the weekends! I don’t have a yard but having the park just around the corner helps! I will crate your dog if required and will always have it on leash during my walks or anytime you request!
“Great love and care for our dogs Rosco and Skye. I felt 100% confident with leaving my dogs with her. Kourtney was more than willing to accommodate all our dogs needs during our time away. She was quick to respond to messages and it was so nice to get updates. I’ll be using Kourtney again - she was awesome.”

“Paula is an amazing dog sitter! She recently watched our puppy for a full week, and we couldn’t be happier with the care she provided. She is reliable, attentive, and truly goes above and beyond to make sure our pup is happy and safe. Paula kept us updated throughout the week, sharing photos and notes that gave us real peace of mind. It’s clear that she genuinely cares for animals, and our puppy adores her. I highly recommend Paula to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and loving to care for their pets!”

“Stephanie was amazing with our 16 year old particular kitty. She won him over and even had him purring when he had to have his medication. We will definitely book with Stephanie again!”

“I was very nervous leaving my dog with anyone except family - Diana was amazing and took very good care of Jack ! She sent me pictures and was always quick at answering my e-mails ! I've booked with her again !”

“Kasha & James ask for a meet & greet before accepting a booking, which helps ensure everyone is feeling comfortable. They sent a ton of great pictures and videos showing my boy having a great time. You can always tell by how comfortable the dog is when you pick him up, and he was so relaxed when I came to take him home!”

Tracy and her husband provided great care for PIP while we were away for five days. We were able to see Pip in pictures that Tracy provided every day which was very reassuring. When Pip got home, she seemed comfortable, happy, and energetic. Thank you, Tracy, for providing her with a secure place to stay during our holiday!

Deanna is amazing! We feel completely confident knowing our dog is in such great hands with her. She gives him lots of love, takes him on plenty of walks and adventures, and keeps us updated with lots of photos and videos. It’s clear how much she cares, and we couldn’t recommend her more!

I had my plans for care for Gotham fall through just a week before my vacation . Thankfully Veronica was very accommodating and stepped up to help on short notice . She and Palme were a great fit for my boy , he was very happy to go with them when we parted and was obviously well loved and taken care of while I was away . Highly recommend Veronica ! Thankyou

Jeongah & Hun are truly amazing. They gave our sweet girl love, care & attention as we would have. Seriously I mean just as if she was home with us. She’s a needy anxious girl. They however saw to her every need, giving of their time, playing with her, cuddling her, so she was not lonely for her family. Even applying the suggestions we gave to make sure she ate & have walks often so she stayed healthy. She responded to them so well because she sensed truly people who cared & had loads of love to give. The many updates of pictures, videos & words of the many & funny things she was doing gave us such reassurance. We couldn’t be more grateful & would not hesitate to book with them again. We very highly recommend this couple to care for your pet. Very truly Amazing.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
