My family and I have always had cats. The cat I grew up with was more of a sibling than a pet, and my current cats are my children. I've had many a cat friend (and occasionally got along with them better than with their humans!), and in social situations, I dedicate as long to my friends' pets as I do to my friends themselves. I've trained my cats to do tricks, walk on a leash, and. I brush their teeth daily.

Julien took such good care of our cat, and did such a great job of making him feel comfortable and at home. Excellent communication skills to keep us up to date on how our cat was doing and lots of photos and videos to prove it, and even got some training started for us! Thanks so much for looking after Hobbes for us Julien!
Julien and Lujing are very attentive I don't have to worry about his many medical needs. And judging from the videos,.he enjoys their attentions

Second time having Julien look after Smokey. He’s super responsive, very meticulous and attentive. He always sends pics and videos with a quick explanation of how Smokey is doing, which I really appreciate. It really helps me relax knowing my cat is in good hands and properly taken care of. I can genuinely rest assured that Smokey is looked after when I’m away. Would definitely recommend Julien to anyone needing a reliable pet sitter.
Julien and Lujing took wonderful care of our cat. We were worried because we had never boarded him before, but they made sure he settled in happily and he enjoyed his stay. Igor is elderly with lots o medical needs, which they handled with ease. I also appreciated the regular updates. I have already booked his next stay.
As my vacation approached, I was freaking out as my plans and backup plans for having my beloved cat Nushka cared for collapsed out from under me. Despite being last minute, Julian graciously agreed to watch her for a week, and did a fantastic job. Somehow Julian and Lujing fairly quickly coaxed her out of her usual shell and sent frequent updates with pictures and video of her purring her heart out. It really put my mind at ease knowing she was so happy and well cared for. Highly recommended!

Schedule
My wife and I both mainly work remotely from home, and I don't have a set schedule, se we can prioritize time-sensitive commitments to look after pets.

Safety, trust & environment
We live in the south west, in a large townhouse, which we like to keep clean and tidy. Having had cats throughout my life, I know to be careful of potential hazards and to keep them inaccessible to my furry friends, to avoid dangerous houseplants, etc. We additionally have a small but fully fenced back yard and our own cats are harness-trained, so if your furball enjoys some time in the sun, we can accommodate for that!
Pets
A typical day
I think that playing is an important way for cats to let off some steam, build trust with humans, and gain confidence, especially when they are stressed, so I believe that it is important for me to play with your cats every day. I'll make sure to ask you which are their favourite toys, and keep them engaged with their regular play time using their favourite treats!
- CatsJulien & Lujing can host up to 5 pets per night
- Please make sure to let me know ahead of time if your cats have any preference, special needs, or particular behaviours that I should be aware of; I should be able to accommodate most of these. For instance, I can mix different types of food, adding some water to their food, heating it when it comes out of the fridge, adding supplements/medicine, etc. In some cases, I may also be able to trim claws, clean ears, and the like, if your cat is particularly friendly, too!
