“I have booked Caroline for multiple dog walks. My dog was very happy to meet her and liked her instantly! She sends lots of update picks and seems very trustworthy. I will book again!”

“Jennah was so great on short notice and very accommodating to our requests. She communicated really well and had really great questions to confirm Frankie’s safety. She took many pictures of their walk to put my mind at ease. I look forward to booking with her again soon!”

“Olivia was able to walk Lupo everyday I was working at Stampede and adjust to my schedule last minute. She was very good with Lupo and I would 100% love to have her walk Lupo again”

“Sandra is great - and our dog Nelson agrees! We really appreciated Sandra taking the time to meet with us to get to know Nelson’s needs (and ours too!). She has been very attentive to Nelson we feel totally comfortable entrusting our little guy to her care.”

“Kerri has been my choice for dog walking on two separate blocks of time now, when I’ve been in Calgary for days at a time for work purposes. My pups absolutely love her, and Kerri is so kind, patient, and able to manage their “rescue chihuahua” energy and reactivity. Kerri sends lots of pictures of the pups on walk adventures and it’s so reassuring knowing they’re in good hands with her! Will be choosing Kerri again when back in the area!”

“Stephanie was awesome with our dog. He can be a bit timid, and has never had a Dog Walker before, so I wasn’t sure how he would react, but he loved his walks, and is “smiling” happily in all the photos! It was wonderful knowing I didn’t have to worry about him while we were out of town.”

“Rebecca is amazing with my dogs. They both absolutely love her! Rebecca is always very professional. We’ve used her many times and will continue to rebook Rebecca when we need a little extra help with the dogs.”

“Daryna was amazing with my dog! She is punctual, friendly, and has a natural connection with animals. My pup is happy and exhausted after a walk with her. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such caring hands. Highly recommend her services!”

About: I have many years of personal experience caring for dogs since childhood, as I grew up around dogs in my family. While I do not currently have a pet of my own, I am very comfortable and confident around dogs of different sizes and personalities. I may be new to professional pet sitting, but I am calm, attentive, and always prioritize each dog’s safety and well-being as if they were my own. I work full-time on a rotating schedule, so my availability changes weekly. I am typically available on my days off and can sometimes offer additional time with advance notice. I always plan ahead to ensure I can provide reliable and attentive care once a booking is confirmed. I prioritize the safety and well-being of all pets in my care. I follow owner instructions carefully, maintain a calm environment, and ensure pets are supervised and comfortable at all times.
About: Hi! My name is Kyra, and I am a DVM student going into my second year at UCVM, and I am a certified Veterinary Technician Assistant. I am confident with classical and operant conditioning for training animals, animal husbandry and safe restraint methods. I look forward to providing attentive and specialized care for your pets. My pets include a tuxedo cat and a corn snake. I am currently off from university and looking to keep my animal-handling skills up to date. I am available every day from 9 am - 7 pm for whatever your needs may be! I love to play with both dogs and cats, if they are up to it! If your pet has lower activity levels, I am glad to keep them company and give them lots of cuddles. I am currently harness-training my own cat to help him feel more comfortable being outside and work up to exploring together. So far, he has explored my front yard and some of my neighbours' as well. If you are working on training your pet, I would be stoked to help out. I am also comfortable working with any pets who are fearful, and I am confident I can provide a positive experience for them.
About: I’m a very fit and active 60-year-old gentleman who loves going out for long walks and would love the company of your pet to join me. My husband and I live in a condo and travel often so owning our own dog is almost impossible. We do have two grand puppies who we love spending time with and having stay with us whenever their parents are away.. I retired three years ago from my full-time job and now work casually two or three nights a week. My daytime and weekends are completely free to look after your animals. I am completely mobile and able to stay in your home to look after your pets if you need to be away on vacation. Also able to do some light housekeeping (extra fee) for you while I am in your home. Both my husband and I are complete neat freaks, and your home will be well respected and taken care of while I am there. I do genuinely love animals I would love to have some of our own if we could accommodate them in our condo. We are avid travelers, so the idea of having a dog doesn’t really work out for us. But I am drawn to dogs and I feel they love being around me as well. I’d offer a ton of love and am able to look after both sedentary and highly active pets.
“This was our first experience with a dog walker and everything went smoothly. Josie was quick to respond to our request and despite it being a fairly short notice arrangement she made sure to come by for a meet and greet first. She is very professional and flexible. Kate enjoyed her walks and made new friends - we will definitely use Josie again.”

About: I’ve had the opportunity to volunteer with dogs, as well as take care of friends pets and give them all the attention and love they deserve 🥰 I am currently working part time and in university, I would love to drop by to care for your pets between classes or stay over throughout the week if your animal needs overnight care. I enjoy keeping pets company throughout the time. Whether it’s during study time, on walks, playing together, or giving them extra cuddles and enrichment after a long day.
About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for over 11 years. I’ve cared for both cats and dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies who are still learning the ropes to senior pets who need a little extra patience and attention. I also have experience with basic puppy training and understand the importance of consistency, positive reinforcement, exercise, and plenty of affection. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always aim to make them feel happy, safe, and cared for. Pet care is part of my everyday life. As a cat owner, my mornings typically begin with furry alarm clocks demanding breakfast, attention, and immediate service. Beyond my own pets, I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and already structure my days around feeding schedules, exercise, playtime, and making sure pets feel safe and cared for. Looking after animals isn’t something I squeeze into my schedule, it’s already part of it. Every pet is different, so I adjust my care to fit their personality and routine. Some pets want lots of playtime and activity, while others prefer a calm environment and extra cuddles. I follow feeding schedules, make sure pets get the exercise and attention they need, keep their space clean, and always prioritize their safety and comfort. I treat every pet as if they were my own and do my best to make their time away from their owner feel as easy and stress-free as possible.
About: I have great experience in caring for furry kiddos! I’ve raised, nurtured & taken care of sweet fur kids for many years🥰 I enjoy spending time with pups, be it community walks, cuddle times, ball fetch, and/or other fun activities your pup loves 🐾For first time dog care, I’ve valued "Meet & Greets" as an introduction to your fur baby & mine. From there, if a mutual fit, I’m excited to personalize your fur baby’s visit according to their special “paw-references!”🐾💝 My top paw goal is to guide & accommodate your sweet fur baby’s preferred home routine 🐾💖 With my deep passion for pups, I update my calendar on Rover regularly. 🥰🐶 I’ve a well sized engaging fenced yard, for play, as well as nurturing indoor fun areas- to help your pet feel like their home away from home.🐶🏡 However your sweet pup likes to spend their time, I’m guiding and engaged to ensure their safety at my best, whilst we all have fun together 💙🐶
About: Hi! I'm a lifelong dog lover with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I currently have a wonderful 3-year-old Golden Retriever who keeps me active and reminds me every day how important love, exercise, and consistency are for our furry friends. Having grown up with dogs my entire life, I understand the care, patience, and attention they need to feel safe, happy, and comfortable. I live a very active lifestyle and enjoy spending time outdoors, so whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or simply companionship, they'll receive plenty of exercise and engagement. I pride myself on being caring, compassionate, and dependable. Your dog's well-being is my top priority, and I'll treat them like one of my own while they're in my care. I look forward to meeting you and your pup! I am off work for the summer, which allows me to dedicate my time fully to caring for your pets. My flexible schedule means I am available throughout the day for walks, drop-in visits, daycare, and boarding. Because I am home most of the time, your dog will receive plenty of attention, companionship, exercise, and care rather than being left alone for long periods. Whether your pup enjoys outdoor adventures, regular walks, playtime, or simply relaxing with company, I can accommodate their needs and routine. I am available on weekdays, weekends, and most holidays, making it easy to provide reliable and consistent care whenever you need it. I live in a clean, comfortable condo that provides a safe and relaxing environment for dogs. While I don't have a yard, I lead a very active lifestyle and make sure dogs get plenty of exercise and outdoor time each day. I take multiple walks daily, including visits to local parks where dogs can enjoy new sights, smells, and opportunities to explore. Your dog will receive lots of attention, companionship, and physical activity throughout the day, ensuring they stay happy, engaged, and well cared for during their stay.
About: I’m kind, easygoing, and have extensive experience caring for dogs, including seniors and those in need of hospice or palliative care. I’m comfortable administering daily medication and understand the special attention and patience that older or medically fragile dogs require. I've dog-sat and cared for other people’s dogs in the past, and I’ve been around dogs and owned them for most of my life. I know how hard it can be to leave your pet with someone new, so please feel free to ask me any questions, I want you to feel completely at ease! Pet care is a big part of my daily routine and something I prioritize. Every day, I start with feeding, morning walks, and some playtime, especially to keep Bean, my puppy, engaged and active. Minnie, my senior dog, has her own needs too, so I make sure she has a calm, comfortable environment and keep an eye on her health closely. Throughout the day, I spend time checking on them, offering attention and play breaks. Weekends often mean longer outings or adventures, and I incorporate rest and grooming to keep them both happy and well-cared-for. In my home, I create a comfortable, safe space for pets, ensuring they have a quiet area to rest, along with plenty of toys and cozy bedding. I stick to their feeding and walking schedules and provide lots of love and attention, adjusting activities based on each pet’s needs, age, and energy level. For clients' homes, I respect their routines by following feeding, exercise, and play schedules they’ve set. I make sure to send regular updates, so they know how their pet is doing, and I keep the space tidy and secure, treating it with the same care as my own.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Calgary
Sandra was amazing with Sofi, took her for good long walks (and took lots of photos!) so she was totally pooped after and ready for a good nap! She was able to kindly fit us into her schedule even with my short notice, and I really appreciate it! I’ll be booking again with her for sure🥰

Caitlin was so caring and a wonderful “new” human companion to my 2 chihuahuas over our multiple days stay in Calgary. She ensured they got lots of attention, time outside walking , and cuddles too (all of which they love!). I always had great and timely feedback from Caitlin about how the walk went and she so easily ensured any updates or requests on my end were met. I won’t hesitate to book with Caitlin again when I’m back in the area. Thank you!!!

Joshua was on time for every walk session. He made sure my standard poodle was well exercised, very happy and ready for a nap, just what we both wanted. What really stood out was his desire to make sure he knew exactly what I wanted for our walk. I would highly recommend him to anyone wanting a professional dog walker or care person.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Calgary choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
