“Daryna was amazing with my dog! She is punctual, friendly, and has a natural connection with animals. My pup is happy and exhausted after a walk with her. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such caring hands. Highly recommend her services!”

“I have booked Caroline for multiple dog walks. My dog was very happy to meet her and liked her instantly! She sends lots of update picks and seems very trustworthy. I will book again!”

“Jillian is awesome and Wrigley loves his time with her. She sent pictures, gave us updates on a scratch he was nursing and she loves dogs! She will be our dog Walker every time we need one.”

“Sandra is great - and our dog Nelson agrees! We really appreciated Sandra taking the time to meet with us to get to know Nelson’s needs (and ours too!). She has been very attentive to Nelson we feel totally comfortable entrusting our little guy to her care.”

About: As a university student and lifelong animal lover, I provide dependable, compassionate care for pets of all kinds. I regularly volunteer at local animal shelters, where I work with animals of different ages, temperaments, and care needs. Growing up with special needs animals has given me extensive experience caring for pets that require extra patience, attention, and individualized support. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, senior, or has unique medical or behavioral needs, I’m committed to making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. As a university student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to fit pet care into my daily and weekly routine. Between classes, I regularly volunteer at local animal shelters and make time for walks, playtime, feeding, and check-ins. Caring for animals is already a natural part of my week, and I’m committed to making sure each pet gets the attention, patience, and love they deserve. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s individual needs, including feeding schedules, exercise requirements, medications, and any behavioral or medical considerations. I carefully follow all instructions provided by owners to ensure their pets experience as little disruption to their routine as possible. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat both the home and the animals with the utmost respect. I keep the environment clean and secure, double-check that doors, gates, and leashes are properly fastened, and never leave pets unattended in unsafe situations. I also provide regular updates with photos and messages, so you can feel confident and connected while you’re away. With my experience volunteering at local animal shelters and caring for animals with special needs throughout my life, I’m comfortable recognizing changes in behavior and responding calmly and responsibly. My goal is to provide a safe, stress-free experience where both you and your pet can feel completely at ease.
“Jiayu is a very responsible dog walker. She is on time, friendly, responsive, and she takes great care of our dogs. Our dogs love her a lot. She charges at such a reasonable rate. I highly recommend her.”

“I’ve been meaning to give a review for months but now I have so much more evidence of just how great Roxanne is, so I’m forgiving myself for my tardiness. She is so great with Shin Yu; she’s always responsive and prompt. Shin loves people but has taken a special liking to Roxanne. She has been an unfortunate recipient of his adoration (i.e. tongue kisses right in the mouth) but apparently she took it in stride. He loves his time with her and she takes such good care to make sure he does. We couldn’t be happier and recommend her so highly. We’re so grateful to have found her.”

“Stephanie was awesome with our dog. He can be a bit timid, and has never had a Dog Walker before, so I wasn’t sure how he would react, but he loved his walks, and is “smiling” happily in all the photos! It was wonderful knowing I didn’t have to worry about him while we were out of town.”

“Nicole did such a great job with Jackson on his first walk with her! She picked him up from my work, sent me pictures while they were out, and he came back so happy. It was really nice knowing he was in good hands, and I’m looking forward to having her walk him again!”

“Super appreciate Megan talking my pup for a walk again! I was getting updates during and it was so great to see him having just as much fun with her as he does with me. It all really means a lot. Thanks again, Megan!”

About: As a person who travels and works, having my dogs and cat looked after is paramount to enjoying my time away. We have a rescued greyhound, rescued shepherd/husky mix and a rambunctious cat of our own that we love and cherish. I will deliver this same expectation of care and attention to your pet. You will have peace of mind knowing your furry friend is in good hands and enjoying themselves. I am a very patient person and quiet around those animals that may be nervous while adjusting behaviour to be energetic around those animals who prefer to be played with and energized. In five years, our shy greyhound rescue has come out of her shell and is social, loving, and continuing to adapt to her life in a forever home. Your pet will receive the same patience and care. I work from home 9 months out of the year and am on the road in the summer. We do travel from time-to-time but it is scheduled in advance. We have a fenced back yard with space to run and play. Our dogs have been hosts to other dogs from time-to-time. Both dogs are comfortable with cats.
“Christine was absolutely wonderful with my husky! From the moment we connected, it was clear that she is knowledgeable about pet care and genuinely cares about every pet she works with. She made sure my husky had a great experience and treated them with so much patience and kindness. I felt completely comfortable knowing my dog was in her care, and I could tell my husky had a fantastic time. I would highly recommend Christine to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, experienced, and truly passionate about animals.”

Nicole did such a great job with Jackson on his first walk with her! She picked him up from my work, sent me pictures while they were out, and he came back so happy. It was really nice knowing he was in good hands, and I’m looking forward to having her walk him again!

I decided to give Rover a try and found Javiera. She was very friendly, responsive, and great with Loki. She made the whole experience easy and gave me peace of mind knowing he was in good hands. I had a really positive first experience with her and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog walker.

Jolie was great with my fearful pup! She was patient, took the time to help my girl feel comfortable, and was able to help me out on short notice, which I really appreciated. I’d definitely recommend her if you’re looking for someone to take great care of your dog.

Josie was wonderful with my dog Benji. I am new to the city and new to leaving my dog at home. She eased every anxiety I had by communicating with me and sending lots of photos so I knew he had a great time. Would recommend her to anyone and especially people who are new and need a bit of comfort that their baby is in good hands.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Calgary choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
