About: As a university student and lifelong animal lover, I provide dependable, compassionate care for pets of all kinds. I regularly volunteer at local animal shelters, where I work with animals of different ages, temperaments, and care needs. Growing up with special needs animals has given me extensive experience caring for pets that require extra patience, attention, and individualized support. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, senior, or has unique medical or behavioral needs, I’m committed to making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. As a university student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to fit pet care into my daily and weekly routine. Between classes, I regularly volunteer at local animal shelters and make time for walks, playtime, feeding, and check-ins. Caring for animals is already a natural part of my week, and I’m committed to making sure each pet gets the attention, patience, and love they deserve. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s individual needs, including feeding schedules, exercise requirements, medications, and any behavioral or medical considerations. I carefully follow all instructions provided by owners to ensure their pets experience as little disruption to their routine as possible. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat both the home and the animals with the utmost respect. I keep the environment clean and secure, double-check that doors, gates, and leashes are properly fastened, and never leave pets unattended in unsafe situations. I also provide regular updates with photos and messages, so you can feel confident and connected while you’re away. With my experience volunteering at local animal shelters and caring for animals with special needs throughout my life, I’m comfortable recognizing changes in behavior and responding calmly and responsibly. My goal is to provide a safe, stress-free experience where both you and your pet can feel completely at ease.
“Olivia was able to walk Lupo everyday I was working at Stampede and adjust to my schedule last minute. She was very good with Lupo and I would 100% love to have her walk Lupo again”

“Jillian is awesome and Wrigley loves his time with her. She sent pictures, gave us updates on a scratch he was nursing and she loves dogs! She will be our dog Walker every time we need one.”

“I feel so thankful to have found Arden. My puppy Phoenix is currently 7 months old and I wasn’t sure how he would respond to someone new coming to walk him while I went back to work. Phoenix has really taken to her sweet and calm nature. I appreciate that Arden lets Phoenix choose his routes. I feel a strong sense of responsibility from Arden, and I have my full trust in her. Arden is well versed in what a puppy needs, whether it’s to let him sniff and explore with his snout or when he needs a calm approach.”

“Sandra is really great with Kino and is his super happy for all his walks during the week. She always keeps updates on pick up and drop off along with photos of walks and any concerns with Kino. Highly recommend her as she is my weekly walker for Kino!”

“Ariana was wonderfully communicative! She did a drop off and pick up for my sweet girl to get to the groomers. I was so appreciative of her and would you use her again in a heartbeat if I were living in Calgary permanently!”

“King is a complicated boy, but he absolutely loves going out for walks. Svitlana M. was fantastic—very professional and kind. She even brought water for my dog and took him on a very long walk. 100% recommended!”

About: Since I got my pets they have been an important part of me, being also my family, so I walked them, fed them and loved them with all the love I have. Currently I am a full-time student, so I have free time most of the time after 5 p.m. There are times when I have more free time and I use it to study, but even then, I use the money I earn from this for my studies and my home. I always take care of pets with lots of love and respect because they deserve it, When I take care of pets in my clients' homes, I will always send them updates on their pet so they can rest assured and know that I provided a good service.
“Daryna was amazing with my dog! She is punctual, friendly, and has a natural connection with animals. My pup is happy and exhausted after a walk with her. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such caring hands. Highly recommend her services!”

“Kerri has been my choice for dog walking on two separate blocks of time now, when I’ve been in Calgary for days at a time for work purposes. My pups absolutely love her, and Kerri is so kind, patient, and able to manage their “rescue chihuahua” energy and reactivity. Kerri sends lots of pictures of the pups on walk adventures and it’s so reassuring knowing they’re in good hands with her! Will be choosing Kerri again when back in the area!”

“Jennah was so great on short notice and very accommodating to our requests. She communicated really well and had really great questions to confirm Frankie’s safety. She took many pictures of their walk to put my mind at ease. I look forward to booking with her again soon!”

“Cassandra always takes great care of Bear and makes sure he is comfortable and cared for no matter the weather, adjusting his walk time and including some indoor playtime when it’s very hot in summer or too cold in winter.”

“Jennifer and Darryl T, have walked my boys many times now. Every time they have been accommodating to specific times, any changes, and really easy to communicate with. My dogs LOVE when they come! They do the absolute most, very happy I found them!!”

About: I’m a very fit and active 60-year-old gentleman who loves going out for long walks and would love the company of your pet to join me. My husband and I live in a condo and travel often so owning our own dog is almost impossible. We do have two grand puppies who we love spending time with and having stay with us whenever their parents are away.. I retired three years ago from my full-time job and now work casually two or three nights a week. My daytime and weekends are completely free to look after your animals. I am completely mobile and able to stay in your home to look after your pets if you need to be away on vacation. Also able to do some light housekeeping (extra fee) for you while I am in your home. Both my husband and I are complete neat freaks, and your home will be well respected and taken care of while I am there. I do genuinely love animals I would love to have some of our own if we could accommodate them in our condo. We are avid travelers, so the idea of having a dog doesn’t really work out for us. But I am drawn to dogs and I feel they love being around me as well. I’d offer a ton of love and am able to look after both sedentary and highly active pets.
“Rebecca is amazing with my dogs. They both absolutely love her! Rebecca is always very professional. We’ve used her many times and will continue to rebook Rebecca when we need a little extra help with the dogs.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Calgary
Jolie was great with my fearful pup! She was patient, took the time to help my girl feel comfortable, and was able to help me out on short notice, which I really appreciated. I’d definitely recommend her if you’re looking for someone to take great care of your dog.

Josie was wonderful with my dog Benji. I am new to the city and new to leaving my dog at home. She eased every anxiety I had by communicating with me and sending lots of photos so I knew he had a great time. Would recommend her to anyone and especially people who are new and need a bit of comfort that their baby is in good hands.

Sandra was amazing with Sofi, took her for good long walks (and took lots of photos!) so she was totally pooped after and ready for a good nap! She was able to kindly fit us into her schedule even with my short notice, and I really appreciate it! I’ll be booking again with her for sure🥰

Caitlin was so caring and a wonderful “new” human companion to my 2 chihuahuas over our multiple days stay in Calgary. She ensured they got lots of attention, time outside walking , and cuddles too (all of which they love!). I always had great and timely feedback from Caitlin about how the walk went and she so easily ensured any updates or requests on my end were met. I won’t hesitate to book with Caitlin again when I’m back in the area. Thank you!!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Calgary choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
