Creating a safe, warm and fun space

Hello! My name is Chantel, I love pets of all sizes, and have experience with animals with ranging personalities, abilities, and temperaments. I’d be happy to work with you to create the ideal schedule for your little one. I used to work as a nanny for almost five years and have a deep respect for your home and your loved ones. I’ve watched animals with separation anxiety, dog aggression, and even a special little one who is blind. I fostered and stumbled across my own little one, Thor, in 2020. He’s a bright and spunky 9 year old French Bulldog with all the stubbornness and attitude you have old expect to come with the name. So sadly, I can no longer offer in-home boarding these days (he’s not much of a sharer in his old age). Thor, and many of the pets I have met and cared for over the years have been a beautiful reminder that there is always a way to make sure that your pets can feel safe, comfortable and still get the care they need with a new person or a new environment. I always ask that if pet owners know and are aware of their little one’s preferences like boundaries, trickers, additional aids and assistance to please outline those clearly and we can discuss how to best navigate those and look into a meet and greet option as well.

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

I used to work as a nanny for almost five years before the children became old enough to no longer need a nanny at home anymore. I have a deep respect for your home and your loved ones. I am not an open the door to rush the pets to pee and her sitter (unless that’s all the pet parent insists on) I’ll respect whatever boundaries and care guidelines you lay out. I enjoy making sure that I’ve used the time wisely and get through all of the items your family has requested and your pets are safe and content before I leave your place. I’ve watched animals with separation anxiety, dog aggression, and even a special little one who is blind. I love pets of all sizes, and have experience with animals with ranging personalities, abilities, and temperaments. I’d be happy to work with you to create the ideal schedule for your little one. Chantel has been amazing coming twice a day to hang out with Hershey and take him on a walk around our neighborhood! He gets so excited when she comes to our door and waits for her on the top of our couch. She has been such a help while I’ve been recovering from knee surgery and haven’t been able to walk him myself :)

Chantel was amazing. This was our first time using Rover and she made the process so easy. She came for a test walk with our dogs which I appreciated. The best was the daily report cards giving us peace of mind that our dogs were getting the care they needed. Will book again!!

For any medical care, I ask that we have a clear chat and dialogue about their schedule, specific care requirements and how they handle their care aids and medication on a regular basis. In most cases dogs with special needs and certain behaviours I would like to ask for a meet and greet to be able to see for myself the care instructions a and the behaviour first hand and proper discussion can be done to make sure everyone can move forward safely and confidently.
