About: I lived with a friend on a hobby farm. She showed me the ropes. I learned how to take care of all animals big and small. I am willing and able to assist in medicine administration. I have tons of free time that I’d love to dedicate to ensuring your furry friend has their needs through the day and even when you’re on vacation I work full time in the city and I hardly ever leave the province and can dedicate as much time needed with your fur babies as you need! I’m very good with early mornings and late night visits. I won’t have pets in my home as I have a cat myself, but I will ensure I know where all food, treats, toys and everything else they require before you leave. I will ask for an emergency response plan in the event I need to get ahold of you asap. I also have my own reliable transportation and will ask for the vet you use in dire emergencies. I will also supervise play time as I know how quick everything can go sideways. I also am very clean, if there’s a mess from your pet, it’ll be cleaned. And I have no problem cleaning litter boxes as well.

There is nobody we trust more than Cheri to take care of our two. Such peace of mind for us. Cheri is dependable, honest and has great communication. She provides wonderful updates so we know how the ‘kids’ are doing when we can’t be there. We love you Cheri, thank you for always going above and beyond!

Amie is lovely! She and my dog have gained such a great bond that she makes a special trip to NW Calgary from airdrie to walk her. My dog (Belgian malinois!) isn’t easy… so it’s really nice to have someone I trust and helps out with on-walk training.

Kandie came on the coldest day ever to care for our dog and check in- she took such care to make sure our dog had lots of playtime, exercise, potty breaks and water to drink! My dog just loved her so much and I am so grateful to know who to call on when we need to be gone long hours during the day. Thank you Kandie!

About: I’ve had dogs for most of my life and have hands-on experience fostering with rescues as well. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes, including large and bulky breeds, and have experience with everyone from playful puppies to gentle seniors. What sets me apart is my calm, steady energy and the way I truly treat dogs as part of the family. I stick to consistent routines, pay close attention to individual needs, and always prioritize your dog’s comfort and wellbeing. I love being outdoors and adventuring, but I’m just as happy providing a relaxed, cozy environment for dogs who prefer a slower pace. I work from home most days, which allows me to be present, attentive, and flexible throughout the day. I’m around most evenings and weekends, making it easy to maintain consistent care, walks, playtime, and companionship. I offer all services, including walks, drop-ins, boarding, and house sitting. I live in a townhouse with access to shared green space in a great, walkable neighborhood. Safety, routine, and trust are extremely important to me. I always follow and respect your dog’s established routines, boundaries, and preferences to help them feel secure and at ease. Introductions can be done at my home or yours, depending on what works best for your dog. I provide regular updates with photos and communicate quickly so you always know how your dog is doing. My goal is for you to feel completely confident and reassured while you’re away.

About: Have done a lot of fostering for an animal rescue so comfortable with a large variety of breeds. We enjoy getting out so your dogs won’t be bored. I work in a school so I am off on weekends, all major holidays and all summer. But love daily walks and my schedule is very accommodating. I have a fenced yard with two friendly dogs. We do have cats in the home but they don’t care about other pets. Non smoking home.

About: I’ve been around dogs for years and have had my own Australian Shepherd for the past five years. She’s a huge part of my life, and I absolutely love spending time with her - whether we’re out for long walks, playing, or just relaxing together. Friends and family have trusted me to care for their pets while they’re away, and I treat every animal like they’re my own. As a newly graduated registered nurse, I’m dependable, attentive, and calm under pressure. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all ages and energy levels, and I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of love, exercise, and attention while you’re away. I’m a newly graduated registered nurse and am currently moving back home to Calgary, so my schedule is very flexible. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. I’ll always do my best to accommodate your schedule and your pet’s routine. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. As a registered nurse, I’m naturally attentive, responsible, and detail-oriented. I’ll follow your pet’s routine closely, provide lots of affection and exercise, and keep you updated with photos and messages so you know they’re happy and well cared for. About: I’ve always been an animal lover! Throughout my life I’ve had dogs, cat, horses, birds and guinea pigs as pets! At the present moment I live with two cats, and because of them I’ve learned a lot about how to take care of animals, including medication if needed. I love my cats, and even though they are very playful, I miss spending time with a dog, because they are so much fun to be around and play with! Spending quality time with my pets has always been one of the greatest joys of my life, and I believe it to be important for them too. Throughout my pet experience I’ve to give oral medication and subcutaneous fluids, tend to stitches, groom, clip nails and bathe.

About: Hi, I’m Kiandra! I’m an experienced and reliable pet sitter based in Airdrie with a genuine love for animals of all kinds and personalities. I previously built a great group of clients through Rover before taking a break due to a crazy schedule the last few years and I’m now excited to return with more availability and flexibility! I have hands-on experience working at a dog kennel, where I cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I’ve also spent years pet sitting for friends and family, including caring for more sensitive or temperamental animals (aka my own cat!)—so I’m very comfortable reading animal behaviour and adjusting my approach to make them feel safe. I currently work part-time as a psychiatric nurse, which means I have plenty of days off to dedicate to pet care. I’m dependable, attentive, and calm under pressure—qualities that translate really well when caring for animals. I enjoy crafting, gardening and baking in my spare time. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and short stays at my home. I have a large, secure backyard and can host dogs for a few hours at a time. For safety and comfort, visiting dogs are always kept completely separate from my cat. I also have a large SUV, so I’m happy to do park trips, longer walks, or transport if needed. I love keeping pet owners updated with lots of photos and messages so you can feel connected and reassured while you’re away. I also have a bit of a green thumb and am happy to help with watering plants and light house-sitting tasks during visits. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priorities and are cared for like they’re my own! Send me a message! 🪴🌞🐶 I work part time as a nurse and am happy to provide pet care on my days off! I work 8 hour shifts and can stop by before/after work some days! I have a large fenced backyard and a medium size SUV. I would prefer to keep any drop ins at my house to less than 3 to 4 hours as I will need to keep my cat separate! Happy to play in the backyard in the summer!

Kelsey is AMAZING. She is very professional and quick to respond to any messages. As I am a crazy dog mom 😊 and hate leaving my baby during the day I find a sense of relief when I know she is going to be stopping by. In addition I really appreciate the fact that she takes the time to write small reviews about the day and sends photos - makes me a smile during a long day at work. As well, our puppy loves her.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Airdrie choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 88% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
