“This was our first multi-day trip away from our pup since moving to Alberta and Cheri was amazing from the beginning. Her communications are always very thorough and photos are adorable. She is extremely knowledgeable and caring and I had no reservations or concerns about having her come for visits/walks while we were away.”

“Kathryn was awesome and went above and beyond to make sure our pups were well taken care of during her check in visits. Her updates, report cards and multiple photos with each visit helped give us piece of mind while we were at work. Would highly recommend Kathryn to take great care of your pup and we will definitely be using her services again (already have her booked for next week !)”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter 🩷 One of our dogs, Pablo, is very anxious and usually takes a long time to trust people but she was incredibly patient and truly took the time to adapt to him and respect his pace. Seeing him open up like that meant everything to us. She is someone you can trust without hesitation. Her communication is amazing ! She replies quickly and keeps you updated, which made us feel so reassured while we were away. She genuinely takes care of your babies like they are her own, and you can feel how much she cares. We’re already saying it here all the time our pet sitter is AMAZING 🤩🤩 We will definitely be booking with her again, without a doubt. Thank you so much for everything 💛”

“Danielle is an absolute delight and I am SO glad we found her on rover. Our dog is really passive and shy so we set up a meeting before hand knowing she might be skittish. We were doing a stay cation close by but had we not been we have no doubt that if anyone could break through our shy girls demeanour it would have been Danielle. We popped back home on the second day just so our pupper knew we still existed and after that point she was a changed lady with Danielle. The updates and attention and care she gave our animals was incredible. Our cats are pretty easy, the one is actually annoying with how much he loves people, but our dog is so reserved that we were really worried about how this would go, but with the communication and time spent Danielle was a gem and we couldn’t have selected better.”

“Alyssa is absolutely amazing with our kitties!! She makes us so comfortable leaving them in her care and updates us thoroughly. We will always choose Alyssa when we travel and we highly recommend you do as well!”

“Andrea was so great! Our cat is difficult around other humans, and she did an amazing job navigating her moods and anxiety while we were away. We came back to a happy, fed cat and a very clean house. Highly recommend!”

About: I have hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, and other small pets. My experience ranges from daily feeding, walking, grooming, and cleaning enclosures to providing companionship, basic training reinforcement, and medication when needed. I’m comfortable with animals of all sizes, ages, and temperaments—from energetic puppies to senior pets who need a little extra patience and care. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe and loved while their owners are away, and I always treat every animal as if they were my own I’m a university student with most of my classes scheduled mid-day, which gives me a flexible schedule in the mornings, evenings, and many afternoons. This allows me to accommodate walks, drop-ins, feeding times, and extended care as needed. When caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I always follow the pet’s usual routine as closely as possible to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I make sure they’re fed on schedule, have fresh water at all times, and get plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention. I tailor care to each pet’s needs—whether that means long walks, quiet companionship, litter or enclosure cleaning, grooming, or administering medication if required. I keep owners updated with messages and photos, and I always prioritize safety, cleanliness, and a calm environment so pets feel secure while their owners are away.
“Amie consistently provides exceptional care for our dog, demonstrating remarkable professionalism and attentiveness. We regularly utilize her services, often for multiple daily visits, to ensure our dog receives necessary outdoor time and bathroom breaks. We particularly appreciate that she incorporates playtime into these visits, which greatly benefits our dog's well-being. Furthermore, Amie has been highly accommodating with schedule adjustments and last-minute booking requests, showcasing her flexibility and dedication. We wholeheartedly recommend Amie for your pet care needs.”

“Aleisha looked after our two diabetic cats twice for back-to-back long weekends this Fall. Having diabetic cats are time restrictive with their regimented feeding times but Aleisha was accommodating to our schedule. She was also accommodating to our other requests, which we appreciate her being able to do for us. We would recommend Aleisha, and will be using her services again in the future.”
About: I’ve been caring for not only my own animals, but animals of family and friends for many years. Whatever they need they all know they can rely on me to be there for their animals while they are away. I work part time, meaning I will have lots of free time to care of and play with anyone’s fur baby. Can’t wait to meet the fur babies. I give my cat wet food everyday, change her litter when needed, change water dishes and give lots of love when I have the opportunity. I would treat any animal they way I would want my own animals to be treated.
“Alicia!! You were amazing and we can’t thank you enough for looking after our Coco for over 3 weeks!! We appreciate everything that you did and all the snuggles that you gave her! Thank you for everything! Coco sends a big thank you as well!”

About: We have had 3 dogs most of our relationship (10+ Years strong), they're all getting on abit in age now but still as spry as they were as puppies. We like to ensure they get a walk a day. Your dog would be treated as part of our family for the duration they are with us - We'd ensure that they have enough stimulation to keep them from being upset that you're not around. Our French Bulldog is extremely playful and friendly and loves to make new friends. Our Shih Tzu will ensure that your dog is on its best behaviour & and our Husky would be a calming presence for them - going for longer walks with the more energetic dogs. We are both home full time so your pet won't be alone with a mixture of both human and dog attention. Erin is also a certified dog groomer so we can provide add-ons if required. Limited services at the moment but we're hoping to get a home-based setup by the end of 2026. In order to ensure your dog is comfortable, cuddled and loved while you're away we will give them attention through the days as we're both home, along with our own dogs. Ensuring they will never feel alone. Fully fenced yard. Will be able to accept dogs that are friendly with others. We allow our dogs free reign (other than sleeping with us!) but we will provide a safe/seperate space for your dog at night to sleep in peace.
“This was our second time using Kristen and she was excellent and communicative with me again throughout. Really appreciate all the photos and the cat appreciates the visits and cuddles!”

About: I’ve managed and worked in boarding facilities for 5+ years with every type of furry friend (or not so furry) that you can imagine! 🐾 Luckily, I have an open and flexible schedule. I’m doing online schooling right now so Rover will be my full time focus for this time! I have 3 cats at home, so the care I give in yours will be sure to make your fur babies feel loved and comfortable!
“Nichole made Chewy and Leia’s week with afternoon walks and visits while I was out of town. Thank you Nichole!!!! She is my go to for taking the best care of my kids and always sending me pics. 😊”

About: I've had pets since the day I was born, and they will always be a part of my life. From the endless energy of puppies and kittens to the more specialized needs of seniors, I have seen and done it all. My time working in a pet store also taught me to care for other kinds of pets, not just cats and dogs. Fish, birds, rodents, rabbits, you name it, I have probably cleaned it's cage. I’m home full-time, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention and consistent care. I’m also certified in Red Cross Pet First Aid, so your pet’s safety and well-being are always my top priority. I am available all day, every day. I will work my schedule to suit your needs, so feel free to contact me for pet care at any time. My style of pet care is very observant and reactionary. When I meet a new pet, I like to see what sort of energy they have and match that. If your cat is shy and reserved, I will give them the time they need to get comfortable with me, rather than trying to force affection on them. If your dog is energetic and playful, I'll rub their tummy and take them for a run. Whatever your pet's personality is, I will adapt and cater to it.
“You will have a hard time finding a more caring and conscientious sitter than Victoria. We are so lucky to have found her and look forward to her looking after our fur babies in the future.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Airdrie
I was very happy I decided to book with Kathryn. From the time of booking until my return, she was always quick to reply, very accommodating and reliable. This was my first time booking with Rover and Kathryn put me at ease when she stopped by to meet me and my furry friend. She not only answered my questions but asked important questions about things that I might overlooked mentioning. (Such as where to find everything she might need to look after my cat). I would not hesitate to recommend Kathryn!

Cheri is caring, compassionate, and thorough. My kitties love her and I can tell that she cares for them as she would her own. She focuses highly on keeping routine and structure the same, which brings comfort and peace of mind for both me and my fur babies. She’s super accommodating and reliable. Thank you, Cheri! 🤗

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
