“Cheri was excellent. We have two cats. One is diabetic and requires two shots per day. Cheri had no issues taking on this extra service. We highly recommend her as a pet sitter. She is a true animal lover and it shows in her work. Or cats are very fussy about who they befriend but they instantly took a liking to her. We will definitely be using her services again in the future. 5 stars out of 5.”

“Kathryn was really great - reliable, understanding, and helped ease the anxiety I was feeling about leaving my cats. Will be booking with her again in the future, I'm sure!”

“Alyssa is absolutely amazing with our kitties!! She makes us so comfortable leaving them in her care and updates us thoroughly. We will always choose Alyssa when we travel and we highly recommend you do as well!”

“Carmen was super responsive and thankfully accepted our last minute offer too!! Highly recommend!! One of our dog is super scared of strangers but both dogs love Carmen!!! ❤️ thank you Carmen for taking care of them 👍”

“Danielle is an absolute delight and I am SO glad we found her on rover. Our dog is really passive and shy so we set up a meeting before hand knowing she might be skittish. We were doing a stay cation close by but had we not been we have no doubt that if anyone could break through our shy girls demeanour it would have been Danielle. We popped back home on the second day just so our pupper knew we still existed and after that point she was a changed lady with Danielle. The updates and attention and care she gave our animals was incredible. Our cats are pretty easy, the one is actually annoying with how much he loves people, but our dog is so reserved that we were really worried about how this would go, but with the communication and time spent Danielle was a gem and we couldn’t have selected better.”

About: I have hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, and other small pets. My experience ranges from daily feeding, walking, grooming, and cleaning enclosures to providing companionship, basic training reinforcement, and medication when needed. I’m comfortable with animals of all sizes, ages, and temperaments—from energetic puppies to senior pets who need a little extra patience and care. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe and loved while their owners are away, and I always treat every animal as if they were my own I’m a university student with most of my classes scheduled mid-day, which gives me a flexible schedule in the mornings, evenings, and many afternoons. This allows me to accommodate walks, drop-ins, feeding times, and extended care as needed. When caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I always follow the pet’s usual routine as closely as possible to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I make sure they’re fed on schedule, have fresh water at all times, and get plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention. I tailor care to each pet’s needs—whether that means long walks, quiet companionship, litter or enclosure cleaning, grooming, or administering medication if required. I keep owners updated with messages and photos, and I always prioritize safety, cleanliness, and a calm environment so pets feel secure while their owners are away.
“Andrea was wonderful, extremely responsive and great to communicate with. She helped us out on the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day so we could spend some time away from home. You can tell she really cared for our kitties and took great. Pictures will definitely hire again and recommend.”

“Amie did an excellent job of providing updates and pictures while we were away. Our dog loves her and we felt very comfortable having her in our home. We will definitely rebook in the future!”

About: Erin & I have had 3 dogs most of our relationship (10+ Years strong), and each had dogs growing up, they're just the best to lean a shoulder on :) Your dog would be treated as part of our family for the duration they are with us - We'd ensure that they have enough stimulation, or as much as they need - We love getting to know dogs and their different personalities! Erin is a certified dog groomer so we can provide add-ons if required. (Limited Services at the moment but hoping to expand with a home setup soon) In order to ensure your dog is comfortable, cuddled and loved while you're away we will give them attention through the days as we both work from home. Ensuring they will never feel alone. So they usually fit in really easily! Fully fenced yard. We allow our dogs free reign of the house (other than sleeping with us!) but we will provide a safe/seperate space for your dog at night to sleep in peace.

About: Hello, fellow pet lovers! My name is Rebecca, and I'm thrilled to offer top-notch dog walking services tailored to your furry friend's needs. 🐶 About Me: I'm a passionate and dedicated canine enthusiast with 15 years of experience in caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. As a lifelong dog owner myself, I understand the importance of providing love, exercise, and stimulation to keep our beloved companions happy and healthy. I can’t wait to meet your best friend! I currently work from home as an office manager for a soccer program. I am incredibly fortunate to make my own schedule, so I can be flexible with caring for your pup! Your pup's comfort and safety are my top priority, and I will do what is required to ensure they feel safe and comfortable while in my care.
About: I’ve been caring for not only my own animals, but animals of family and friends for many years. Whatever they need they all know they can rely on me to be there for their animals while they are away. I work part time, meaning I will have lots of free time to care of and play with anyone’s fur baby. Can’t wait to meet the fur babies. I give my cat wet food everyday, change her litter when needed, change water dishes and give lots of love when I have the opportunity. I would treat any animal they way I would want my own animals to be treated.
“Kristen was so sweet with my cats and provided detailed updates after each visit. She made me feel super comfortable leaving my cats with someone new and I am so grateful!”

“Aleisha looked after our two diabetic cats twice for back-to-back long weekends this Fall. Having diabetic cats are time restrictive with their regimented feeding times but Aleisha was accommodating to our schedule. She was also accommodating to our other requests, which we appreciate her being able to do for us. We would recommend Aleisha, and will be using her services again in the future.”
“Nichole made Chewy and Leia’s week with afternoon walks and visits while I was out of town. Thank you Nichole!!!! She is my go to for taking the best care of my kids and always sending me pics. 😊”

About: I've had pets since the day I was born, and they will always be a part of my life. From the endless energy of puppies and kittens to the more specialized needs of seniors, I have seen and done it all. My time working in a pet store also taught me to care for other kinds of pets, not just cats and dogs. Fish, birds, rodents, rabbits, you name it, I have probably cleaned it's cage. I’m home full-time, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention and consistent care. I’m also certified in Red Cross Pet First Aid, so your pet’s safety and well-being are always my top priority. I am available all day, every day. I will work my schedule to suit your needs, so feel free to contact me for pet care at any time. My style of pet care is very observant and reactionary. When I meet a new pet, I like to see what sort of energy they have and match that. If your cat is shy and reserved, I will give them the time they need to get comfortable with me, rather than trying to force affection on them. If your dog is energetic and playful, I'll rub their tummy and take them for a run. Whatever your pet's personality is, I will adapt and cater to it.
“Kiandra was amazing. She was so friendly and her daily updates were so detailed and she sends tons of photos. 1000% will book her again in the future. She was very reliable and made me feel a lot less stressed out leaving my cats for a few days. Thank you Kiandra!!!!!!”

“You will have a hard time finding a more caring and conscientious sitter than Victoria. We are so lucky to have found her and look forward to her looking after our fur babies in the future.”

Kevin and Erin are absolutely amazing. They do drop in visits for my two pups a couple times a week. You can tell from the first few minutes of meeting that these two are dog people. They are great with communicating visit details. My pups absolutely love their visits. Thank you for taking such great care of my girls when I can’t be there during the day.

Thank you Nichole for your great care of Chewy and Princess Leia again! Nichole shows so much love to my babies each time she visits and walks them. She always takes care to keep in mind any health issues they are having and has been flexible when schedule changes pop-up. She is phenomenal!

I was very happy I decided to book with Kathryn. From the time of booking until my return, she was always quick to reply, very accommodating and reliable. This was my first time booking with Rover and Kathryn put me at ease when she stopped by to meet me and my furry friend. She not only answered my questions but asked important questions about things that I might overlooked mentioning. (Such as where to find everything she might need to look after my cat). I would not hesitate to recommend Kathryn!

Cheri is caring, compassionate, and thorough. My kitties love her and I can tell that she cares for them as she would her own. She focuses highly on keeping routine and structure the same, which brings comfort and peace of mind for both me and my fur babies. She’s super accommodating and reliable. Thank you, Cheri! 🤗

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Airdrie stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Airdrie choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
