About: I have hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, and other small pets. My experience ranges from daily feeding, walking, grooming, and cleaning enclosures to providing companionship, basic training reinforcement, and medication when needed. I’m comfortable with animals of all sizes, ages, and temperaments—from energetic puppies to senior pets who need a little extra patience and care. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe and loved while their owners are away, and I always treat every animal as if they were my own I’m a university student with most of my classes scheduled mid-day, which gives me a flexible schedule in the mornings, evenings, and many afternoons. This allows me to accommodate walks, drop-ins, feeding times, and extended care as needed. When caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I always follow the pet’s usual routine as closely as possible to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I make sure they’re fed on schedule, have fresh water at all times, and get plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention. I tailor care to each pet’s needs—whether that means long walks, quiet companionship, litter or enclosure cleaning, grooming, or administering medication if required. I keep owners updated with messages and photos, and I always prioritize safety, cleanliness, and a calm environment so pets feel secure while their owners are away.
“We were initially hesitant about hiring a stranger to care for our cats, but after some consideration, we realized it was a better option than relying solely on family. Enter Kathryn, our wonderful Rover sitter! She looked after our two senior ladies, Earle and Echo, with exceptional care. Every visit, we received plenty of adorable photos of our girls, who warmed up to Kathryn quickly. It was such a relief knowing someone was taking the time not just to feed and clean up after them, but to offer affection and cuddles too. Kathryn did an amazing job, even handling a somewhat awkward situation with a smile and a laugh! We highly recommend her and will definitely be booking her again!!!”

About: We've have had pets all of our relationship (11+ Years strong), and each had dogs &/or cats growing up. (We currently have 3 dogs of our own, with plans on getting a Cat in future!) We love getting to know pets and their different personalities - We always communicate as much as possible with you while your pets are under our care, this includes lots of videos and pictures! - One thing we always wish we had more of when we have to leave our own. If you're needing to go away we will ensure your family members get the comfort they need, we know how emotional it can be to leave your companions behind. We like getting pets to be the best version of themselves while we look after them, making them feel like there's been no disruption to their day to day. Erin is also a certified dog groomer. We both work from remotely so are able to easily to get wherever you are in Airdrie & spend time with your loved ones. Ensuring they aren't left alone for long periods & have comfort, care and engagement while you're away. We only ever do what's asked of us in terms looking after your pets - We don't go snooping etc - Just there to ensure your companions are comforted and cared for while you are away.
“Andrea was so great! Our cat is difficult around other humans, and she did an amazing job navigating her moods and anxiety while we were away. We came back to a happy, fed cat and a very clean house. Highly recommend!”

“Nichole made Chewy and Leia’s week with afternoon walks and visits while I was out of town. Thank you Nichole!!!! She is my go to for taking the best care of my kids and always sending me pics. 😊”

“Maegan was FANTASTIC!! Loved getting updates after each home visit. She made sure my boy was doing well while I was on vacation and that made things so much less stressful. Easy five stars from me :) I would be more than happy to recommend her. Maegan, you rock!”

About: I lived with a friend on a hobby farm. She showed me the ropes. I learned how to take care of all animals big and small. I am willing and able to assist in medicine administration. I have tons of free time that I’d love to dedicate to ensuring your furry friend has their needs through the day and even when you’re on vacation I work full time in the city and I hardly ever leave the province and can dedicate as much time needed with your fur babies as you need! I’m very good with early mornings and late night visits. I won’t have pets in my home as I have a cat myself, but I will ensure I know where all food, treats, toys and everything else they require before you leave. I will ask for an emergency response plan in the event I need to get ahold of you asap. I also have my own reliable transportation and will ask for the vet you use in dire emergencies. I will also supervise play time as I know how quick everything can go sideways. I also am very clean, if there’s a mess from your pet, it’ll be cleaned. And I have no problem cleaning litter boxes as well.
“Cheri was excellent. We have two cats. One is diabetic and requires two shots per day. Cheri had no issues taking on this extra service. We highly recommend her as a pet sitter. She is a true animal lover and it shows in her work. Or cats are very fussy about who they befriend but they instantly took a liking to her. We will definitely be using her services again in the future. 5 stars out of 5.”

“Danielle is an absolute delight and I am SO glad we found her on rover. Our dog is really passive and shy so we set up a meeting before hand knowing she might be skittish. We were doing a stay cation close by but had we not been we have no doubt that if anyone could break through our shy girls demeanour it would have been Danielle. We popped back home on the second day just so our pupper knew we still existed and after that point she was a changed lady with Danielle. The updates and attention and care she gave our animals was incredible. Our cats are pretty easy, the one is actually annoying with how much he loves people, but our dog is so reserved that we were really worried about how this would go, but with the communication and time spent Danielle was a gem and we couldn’t have selected better.”

About: I’ve been a dog owner for the last 24 years. My current dog and I went through extensive training when he was a puppy. He was a high energy dog in his early years requiring a lot of exercise and stimulation and we continue our daily walks 10 years later. As an outdoor enthusiast I enjoy the solitude of walking everyday. With my kids entering school I would love to fill my mornings being outdoors in our community walking dogs. Being a pet owner I understand first hand the importance of exercise for animals. When out walking being fully aware of our surroundings and other people or animals near by keeps dogs safe. When weather is uncooperative dressing the dog appropriately with rain jacket, vest or winter boots, if required. I regularly groom my dog to prevent any injuries and maintain good hygiene.
“Kristen was awesome. Super responsive, punctual, kind and organized. Took excellent care of our elderly cat, including administering medication. Would not hesitate to book again!”

“Alyssa truly exceeded our expectations. Before her time spent with our cats, she made sure to pop by a few weeks before to tour our home, ask/answer questions and meet our furry friends. Once she began the check-ins, she was always so elaborate with her summary reports, making them engaging and reassuring that all was well. When hiccups arrived, she was always sure to be prompt and consistant with her communication. Her respect for our home and our animals was truly appreciated. I just know that now we are home, our cats will be missing her dearly. 10/10 recommend, and we would definitely be reaching out again for her services in the future. Thank you Alyssa, for everything!”

“Amie consistently provides exceptional care for our dog, demonstrating remarkable professionalism and attentiveness. We regularly utilize her services, often for multiple daily visits, to ensure our dog receives necessary outdoor time and bathroom breaks. We particularly appreciate that she incorporates playtime into these visits, which greatly benefits our dog's well-being. About: I’ve been caring for not only my own animals, but animals of family and friends for many years. Whatever they need they all know they can rely on me to be there for their animals while they are away. I work part time, meaning I will have lots of free time to care of and play with anyone’s fur baby. Can’t wait to meet the fur babies. I give my cat wet food everyday, change her litter when needed, change water dishes and give lots of love when I have the opportunity. I would treat any animal they way I would want my own animals to be treated.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Airdrie
This was our first experience with Rover and Daniele made it a lot easier for us. She helped guide us through the process and got back to us with information she had to research as promised. She also was perfect for my dog who has separation anxiety. Great first experience for us.

Maegan was FANTASTIC!! Loved getting updates after each home visit. She made sure my boy was doing well while I was on vacation and that made things so much less stressful. Easy five stars from me :) I would be more than happy to recommend her. Maegan, you rock!

Alicia was great at looking after our two cats, one of which is diabetic so requires set feeding times along with insulin injections and other medication. Alicia had no problem administering the medication and was very accommodating to the feeding times we needed. She was also able to look after other tasks while we were away. Would highly recommend Alicia's services!

Thank you Nichole for your great care of Chewy and Princess Leia again! Nichole shows so much love to my babies each time she visits and walks them. She always takes care to keep in mind any health issues they are having and has been flexible when schedule changes pop-up. She is phenomenal!

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Airdrie choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
