Our house is spacious and there’s plenty of room for a crate or bed if needed when your pet comes to stay. We live steps to away from an off leash dog park as well as regular trips out to the mountains for walks and hikes. We both have quite flexible schedules and have open availability including WFH. Lots of time to play with the pups and getting them their needed exercise. We have a spacious home with lots of room to chill. Great new area with a dog park only steps away. Are also mobile and do regular trips out to the mountains for a good stretch !
“Jeff was wonderful. If I ever had to board my dog again, I would do it only with Jeff. This was my first time boarding my dog and I was super anxious. Jeff was very methodical, which I thought was great. He made sure our dogs met his dogs and that they got along well before the day of boarding. He asked a bunch of questions about my dog's personality and did exactly what we discussed. He made sure my dog had a great time. He also sent several pictures and videos all day long - this really REALLY put me at ease (and also brought a smile on my face). My dog had such a great time, he just slept all day long for the next two days!”

“The meet and greet prior to committing Otto to Anthony/Melody’s care was quite helpful. Otto was excited to try out his first daycare experience. I appreciate the photo and video updates. Also, thank you for the feedback re Otto’s first visit and interaction with your dog Hachi. I have already booked Otto’s next appointment with Anthony/Melody.”

“Ksenia is a great dog sitter! She is very attentive to Willow's need. She responds all communication in a timely manner and sends lots of photos so I know Willow is doing well. A picture says a thousand words! I definitely recommend Ksenia!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Airdrie
Karlee was amazing. She was so loving and friendly. My 2 year old Australian Shepherd loved being take of by Karlee for 3 full days while we attended a convention. She had long walks and would come home happy and tired. Thank you so much for being an awesome caregiver. We don’t have to worry about Mabel at all while she was with you ❤️

We have several friends and relatives that can take care of Brisket when needed, but we wanted to have backup sitters in case of emergency. This visit was only a chance for Brisky to get familiar with Kevin and Erin and their pups. Good people, they are clearly dog people and we are looking forward to utilizing them through Rover in the future.

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Airdrie commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AB ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
